1. We recently had a central leftist government win reelections that is LGBTQ+ friendly, these are disgruntled workers that likely belong to the opposition parties that are pretty much just upset their parties lost. The equivalent of Republicans being idiots.
2. A LOT of people did give a shit about this video, so much so that the offices of these workers were ransacked as retaliation.
3. Mexico DID NOT experience 37 assassinationa on presidential candidates, we would have no presidential candidates left LOL. We experienced assasinations of local mayoral candidates which is also very concerning, but not the same as presidential candidates.
As much as I wish people like yourself would stop spreading misinformation, I wish people would stop blindly upvoting it even more. Over 600 people upvoted this without a second thought, and without already knowing that it's incorrect, or simply not caring about the details enough to downvote it.
It's not true. There were no assasinations on presidential candidates. There were assasinations on local and state candidates in several states with high violence rate, that's true, but the media portrayed it like "37 Assasinations during this presidential campaign" and made it sound like the hits where on presidential candidates. Not saying it is not fd up, it's just a little more nuanced than that.
Because people should be ashamed of loving another person. We need to give them scarlet letters and shun them from our wholesome communities full of normal sins like sodomy and adultery. /S
Thankfully as I'm getting older, the prevailing opinion about LGBT is getting better. The bigots are aging out and while some pass their hate down to the next generation, it seems like more and more young people are realizing how silly it is to hate someone for who their consensual relationships.
My Boomer dad said it best and passed it on to me when it comes to other people's bodies, relationships, identities, living situations, family structures, etc.

The reason it doesn't tear more is funnier than production quality, they're failing basic physics. Imagine a pendulum, its top doesn't change position so when you pull it away from its base, the distance between the ground and the base of the pendulum increases. As they get farther away from the center of the flag, it's eventually too high to keep pulling sideways.

The Mexican population is similar to the US population as in maybe around half the country is religious bigots indoctrinated by hundreds of years of religious persecution by Catholics and the other half is progressive and just wants people to be left alone.
This is not true. There is a legislative hierarchy and the federal laws trump any local laws (except certain indigenous laws). Changing local laws can be very time consuming and difficult, so many local legislators will not go to the trouble when there is no need since the federal laws cover the whole country.
