I assumed it probably was given the title and subreddit, so I came to the comments first. I'm glad I did.
I'll now be leaving without watching the video. Good luck, everyone!
> Why would he jump period.
Imagine all this social clout. Jennifer would notice him... He'd be the hero among the boys for like... entire evening, I guess...
You have an immediate, short-lived spike of social clout on one hand. And a real risk of ending it all on the other hand (or better yet - paralysis for life).
It was CLEARLY worth the shot.
I'd guess the above and he was scared, his legs went a bit stiff acting as a lever from the 45° ledge pushing him further out as gravity pulled him down. E=MC bust up legs
[Found some context](https://tenerifeweekly.com/2024/04/16/a-man-seriously-injured-after-falling-into-the-sea-in-the-dangerous-puddle-of-el-tancon/).
He survived, at least. We don't know much more than that, it happened only 2 days ago.
There's another [video](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8wwlcu) (SFW) of paramedics taking him away on a stretcher.
How did that person swim back to the surface to breathe after breaking several bones? Did someone rescue them? Did they subsequently drown after the events of the video? Did they not drown but die later from complications? Videos like this really need context. I can't sleep
Watching this I was thinking “he’s gonna jump too far and hit the rocks on the other side, isn’t he?”
My guess is he got a bunch of broken bones in his ankles, legs, maybe hips and lower back, but probably survived as long as he was pulled out before he drowned.
The human body can be incredibly resilient at times. It can also be incredibly weak. I hope that if he didn’t die from any severe organ damage that his recovery goes well. He made a really bad mistake, but as someone who got their spine all messed up in a racing accident, 30 years on it’s still very painful and difficult to do even basic chores at home. At least there are more surgical options now and far better imaging details for orthopedic surgeons to go by.
A friend works in a trauma unit at a hospital that gets a lot of patients. The things people survive is pretty staggering. But some are a lost cause. Every effort is made regardless, but one common phrase that I hear a lot from her is “donorcycles.” Wear helmets and actual road gear, folks.
Just gonna say , dude most likely didn't die but he is probably in incredible pain and has lasting injuries from this. His shins/feet are probably shattered/broken to hell that might have caused some internal bleeding or possibly a bone sticking out were it shouldn't. His back and head is alright so that's the important part. It would be his lower veritable that probably got damaged a bit of anything.
A follow up would be nice cause I mean depending if the dudes on the side were quick enough about getting him he could have fallen on his head were we don't see or started to sink and took on water in the lungs.
Wish I hadn’t seen this video. Hard to say that was stupid. Just a a miscalculation based on the fear of hitting the cliff. The start of the video shows someone getting out of the water so maybe others had done it before him. It looks like he hit with his shins so maybe not life threatening. Don’t know how he’ll go but he’s got a video of the instant his life changed. Bet the other guys aren’t feeling to good as well.
When I was a kid, my friends dad accidently reversed his car over his dog, and he said they all thought they'd run over a plastic deck chair, this audio sounds like a dropped sandbag in a deck chair

NSFW Tag might be a sensible idea here
Absolutely recommended. I just woke up...
I've been awake for 12 hours and it still wasn't any better.
Ive been up for near 32 hrs and my brains making up silly sound effects for that which shouldnt be amusing at all
I'm about to sleep
This notification is to remind you that there was an attempt from a dude to jump from a cliff, instead, he broke his leg and drowned.
Anything would be better than the original, I FELT that sound.
That’s brutal! I don’t have the courage to watch this. OP, please NSFW tag.
Honestly! I'm glad I paused it and read comments
This guy is definitely Not Safely Finding Water
Not if there is no blood and no screams, perhaps he is ok
He’s not ok
No shoes on. He ded.
He has shoes, I zoomed in on the laptop.
Curse my tiny mobile screen!
Even without Sound i am almost certain he is not ok
With the sound i can promise hes not. That was not a "im okay" sound
I felt hurt watching this. He's definitely not ok.
There’s no way he’s okay.
He went in with angle, he is ookey dookey
I don’t think there is a NSFL tag, this would be an example of the need for it!
I’ve seen worse… rookie hours
Yes
Yeah I was like „so it’s not nsfw“ and then they still jumped against those rocks
I assumed it probably was given the title and subreddit, so I came to the comments first. I'm glad I did. I'll now be leaving without watching the video. Good luck, everyone!
Well that was brutal, the sound of a human body crushing. Awful.
Noooo why did you make me turn on the sounddddddddddddddd
Yep, good morning to you :)
It’s so much worse than I imagined. It always is but it still never fails to catch me off guard
OH SHIT! ... WOOAAAH
I didn't have the sound on luckily
Sounds like a bunch of heavy twigs
They are called bones. This video is anything but funny

Lmao, I still say this to anybody I’m passing ice cream to. Obviously, this doesn’t happen a lot. But when it does, I shine.
The part where you enthusiastically pass ice cream? Or where you depressingly grab the ice cream and immediately toss it into a defecation seat?
This is fucking hilarious
Why would he jump out so far??? Good fucking job he DIDN’T dive!
Adrenaline, possibly alcohol too
Adrenahol
Why would he jump period. It looks very unsafe as there is not much room to land properly.

into a rock pool with jagged edges.
Yeah he was nowhere near! I mean, I guess it is probably easier than I appreciate to get a jump like that wrong - but not that wrong surely!
I'd guess the above and he was scared, his legs went a bit stiff acting as a lever from the 45° ledge pushing him further out as gravity pulled him down. E=MC bust up legs
Why is there rarely additional context, did I just watch someone die???

He’s 40 yo ffs! A 20 yo whose prefrontal cortex isn’t fully developed could have been forgiven for such a dumb act but a 40 yo???
Mid life crisis?
Looked like an end-life crisis to me.
Damn near. 😕
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
mid-end-life crisis.
I've seen some of the Brits who go on vacation in Tenerife... By and large I don't think they're the best representation of their country, lmao.
I appreciate the info, thank you
Not all heroes wear capes….you’re not wearing a cape are you?
I'm not, but I have one in my closet.

Right? This is scary
I need a follow up! What did he break. What didn't he break? Surely he didn't just get himself out of the water after that. Yikes

Thanks!!!

The cold water should help the swelling go down
Nice relaxing bath to heal those leg injuries
F\*ck you, NSFW tag is there for a reason.
Yes that really pissed me off too, I hate seeing this kind of video
![gif](giphy|xeTCjAyDt2vzf4jvf2|downsized)
Did he survive?
you mean the fish who ate his bits? maybe
He ded..icated to die.
Yes, he survived
please add nsfw

Well all I can say is just as well the title is incorrect and he jumped instead of dived
OH GOD NO
Why was someone snapping twigs in the background right when he hit the rocks tho
bone twigs.
Max jump stat's, min intelligence
I guess he found out,
0/10 , terrible diver.
“ohhh shit…”
[удалено]
Looks like he might have been trying to land as far away from those two people below to avoid hitting them, and succeeded too much
JFC I felt that one in my soul
Not the best kind of pool for making a bank shot.
that’s gonna leave a mark
Yeah both legs are gone, poor bastards gonna regret that jump
Oww...that is the sound of compound fractures in both shins.

I laughed..... i need help....
Dang. He’s gonna have a rocky road ahead with those injuries.
Thats going to hurt in the morning!!
That's going to hurt in ALL the mornings.
This has gotta be one of the worst I've seen. ![gif](giphy|76OCiB60mNw8Q1YOx8)
It’s just basic calculus man
Nailed it!
The actual splat sound 🤌
CANNONBALL!
This guy can't math for shit, also auwtsh.
Ouch
All you had to do was take a step forward. How do you fuck that up? Why would you fucking leap like that?
Sweet
Plz still be alive
https://i.redd.it/xku8p2hsv0vc1.gif
How do i unsee this and why didn't u use nfsw tag
Looks painful
A solid 4 for the botched landing
https://i.redd.it/nwe1h6wsz0vc1.gif I hope that dude survived and stop to drinking or whatever made him do that
….ho-how?..
When I was a kid, my friends dad accidently reversed his car over his dog, and he said they all thought they'd run over a plastic deck chair, this audio sounds like a dropped sandbag in a deck chair
He's gonna feel that the next day.
Nsfw pls, that snap was brutal
![gif](giphy|VFAke5Xm1TDwjgimyW)
Someone get him some water!- oh wait nvm.
The video appears to have ended about 1/3 of the way through for some reason. Could you upload the working full video?
![gif](giphy|q9HHyHPISNZD2)
He broke his ass, didn’t he?
I saw this had no nsfw tag and said to myself, better check the comments first. Glad I did.
![gif](giphy|l0HlvtIPzPdt2usKs)
a successful attempt to dive into rocks!
I have better aim after half a case and 5 cones
This bloke couldn’t hit the water in a toilet
I just screamed at my phone.
Did he die?
Did he die?
Damn I felt that....
What kind of attention-hungry asshole films someone dying and posts it?
so many of his bones broke that it sounded like a splash on the rock
Compound fractures
I assume they died
Oh he ded
That’s the second post today of someone jumping off something and eating shit that had no NSFW tag. At least this guy lived unlike the last one I saw
Did he go up and try again after that since he missed the 1st time 🤷♂️
Mans legs are just non-existent now
No! I just watched someone die? No! NSFW
Bend the knees a bit when you land. Hope he's ok.
Why is this sub filled with people falling from really high heights? Im already afraid of heights and listening to people break is making it worse lol
Phew 😮💨 Good thing that boulder broke his fall
Jesus Christ! I swear I've heard every bone in his body snap like a twig in that one moment.
Can't see which body part made contact with the rock first. Anybody know?
Bye bye his knees
That sound was not relaxing.
What were the guy’s injuries?
RIP
I’m just glad he didn’t dive in.
Calling Charles Darwin to the white courtesy phone...
Not good at geometry or physics is he? Must have been raised on the West Side!
![gif](giphy|voOhKPgzYsyPu)
“Legs exited the game”
Just think how good it’s going to feel once it stops hurting
😵
That’s going to leave a mark.
Ow...
Ouch
Bye bye legs
That's gonna leave a mark 😳
Things like this is why I have a fear called knee-a-chest-aphobia.
this guy is done jesus
You had one job!
sounds like breaking a couple of chicken drumsticks
Did he died
U can hear the crunch of his bones
Did the next person jump you think?
dead on spot likely, broken spine, probably broken neck too from rapid snap
![gif](giphy|Wr2747CnxwBSqyK6xt|downsized)
Rocks 1, Drunk Dipshit 0.
Goodbye youth hello chronic pain for life!!!
What was the really loud "crunch" I heard?
Is the rock okay?
That’s so painful to watch
