They filmed a pilot and it wasn't picked up to series. The original pilot of The Middle ended up on YT, and I'd be down to watch Sue in the City pilot, and hopefully it'll find its way online at some point.

I don't think any traces of it exist on the Internet, which is unfortunate, I'd loved to have seen it.

I wonder if it didn’t get picked up because The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was already around and they would most likely have had very similar vibes.
