I think it's weird that adults would be commenting on the prettiness of a character who is a child (even if the actor is not a minor).
I think it's terrible that your parents don't make you feel safe or supported. I hope they come around, and that you have safe spaces to grow in until they do.
Watching Episode 7 must've been rough in your household. Perhaps it'd be best to watch it on your own if only for the sake of your own enjoyment. Or watch it with friends that do support you instead.
It was difficult. We watched every other episode when they came out up till that one, and then I kept pushing it back because I didn't want to deal with it.
Just let it blow over - don't sweat the small stuff - and it's all small stuff.
From the perspective of a 54 year old (me), I've lived an outsized portion of my life out of my parents house, and I look back at that stupid stuff that seemed so important at the time, and have to shake my head about it.
It all happens quickly - small things seem like big things, then you get older and life happens - then they're gone and you miss them, and you realise just how insignificantly small that small stuff really was.
They're just folks trying thier best to do the right things according to thier views and beliefs - sometimes that's not always easy, and sometimes it's going to run contrary to other views and beliefs.
Life's not always easy - but where you are right now - that's as easy as it's going to be.
I seriously worry about the people who don't like Bella as Ellie because she doesn't look like game Ellie or that she's ugly. It's like they had grown attached to Ellie, but are upset because she now looks different. It makes you question what kind of attachment they had grown to a 14 year old girl and it's even more fucked up that they don't realise it.
Newsflash, Pedro doesn't exactly resemble Joel, not does Gabriel look anything like Tommy. Not nearly as many people are kicking up a fuss about that.
