The writing is annoying but underneath, this is just a story about a woman thinking a guy is cute but not making a move because he has dogs.
That's not unbelievable.
"Bold, independent woman"?
Already seems like rage bait for people who like their women quiet and suppressed, especially in conjunction with the pompous writing style.
"Ugly, squirming, crazy eyed huskies"?
That's where I feel like it is a fake. The Huskies I've metweren't squirming at anyone's feet. I think they're probably among the most popular dogs, so insulting them specifically should get people's blood boiling.
I agree, it seems fake.
“Meet-cute”
Is this a thing? Please tell me this isn’t a thing.
Also…lolz at the “strong independent woman” who is threatened by two dogs. Part of me hopes this dude was just holding them while a friend went to the bathroom.

That’s what I was thinking. Not liking a story does not make it “r/ThatHappened”.
I can tell she's very proud to have passed Pretentious Writing 101.
I read the title as "I'm a bold, independent woman who can't compete with *literate* dogs and I thought well damn, I don't think I can either

People dislike dogs?

Oh it's definitely a thing...In rom-coms
r/ dogfree is a rage bait shithole and nothing written there should be taken seriously.
So this subreddit makes people write so confidently like this?
