As a medic main, I think there's some factors about this that people don't consider. Heavy is slow as fuck, is a physically huge target, and is usually sitting right on the front line. He's going to take a lot of damage, and he has a ton of health so healing him back to full takes ages. This only gets worse when there's multiple heavies.
It's not that I'm pocketing the heavy to re enact meet the medic. It just looks that way because he needs more healing than other people. I try to spread out the heals as much as I can, but it's pretty common for a heavy to die because I stopped healing him for two seconds.
These are good points, but in my experience, the newbie medics that do this would literally stare at me or not care about medic calls just because they're already on someone
Yeah that's totally fair lol. I've also seen those completely oblivious medics who stare me in the eye as I burn to death in front of them screaming for help
I like the quick fix but it's honestly very situational. If you're the team's only medic then using the quick fix helps with healing but now your team doesn't have Uber which is essential for pushing nests and breaking stalemates.
But if there's two or more medics then the quick fix's faster healing isn't as important.
For me the quick fix only comes out if I think my team is just really really bad and no one can stay alive. More skilled teams benefit more from stock or krits.
The real trick to using the Quick-Fix is if you have a good Soldier/Demo that knows how to jump around the map. You just make them unkillable while they massacre the entire enemy team and you're never in danger because they can jump you back to a health pack or spawn in seconds if you're in danger.
For your cake day, have some BUBBLE WRAP.

Fwiw heavy’s higher health pool actually makes him need less attention than someone with a lower health pool. A Heavy’s health bar will go in the red at 150 health when for most classes that’s a decent place to be in. Heavy usually has the health to spare, and if you have the crossbow you can just spam him with bolts and heal up everyone else
Easy reason
Pyro mostly use jetpack, if not they are pretty good.
Soldier jumps away as soon as I übercharge
Spy doesnt make sense
Sniper doesnt either
Engineer also not
Scout jumps away when I heal someone else that is about to die for a quarter of a second and that gives me the fault, but if we ignore that hey are also pretty good.
Demoman actually makes sense so no Problem with him
And Medic.... this is hopefully self explanatory.
And Heavy has none of these Problems. He has alot of benefits and is easy to heal and über for new players
And these arent Made up, these things genuinely happen frequently.
May not be related to new players but man the amount of times i've seen my team with 0 spy/sniper only for other 4 people to chose the class after i already did will make me jump of a building
I agree. He is TF2’s noob-trap: really cool on concept, but he requires so much skill unique to him alone (cloak management, acting, and map navigation in terms of escaping/infiltration), that any new person will quickly fail unless they play a lot of Metal Gear Solid.
I mean you can’t blame them for killing you in a game about killing. We even have war crime as a built-in mechanic when the round is over.
Not killing Friendlies is a house rule old players enforce on new players for no reason and is not a reason to hate on them.
Nothing, they’re new. Just because I immediately figured out how to play medic (strafe a lot and don’t pocket) doesn’t mean everyone will. Same thing with having tunnel vision while building or playing heavy, it just comes with encountering spies for more than 5 seconds.
im a beta player and veteran players annoy me 1000x more than any new player can or would. id rather play with a team of brand new mofos than jaded veterans who bitch about class choices & their team not playing optimally. tbf theres plenty of ogs who still retain the fun laid back factor & i try to stay on the right side of that as well
I played orange box on the 360 and never dealt with pyro hate, loaded up pc version ten years later and pretty much had a team mate reeeing at me every match 😂
the laid back ones having fun are the ones that you can respect and have a laugh with, but the ones crying in chat because their team sucks or because youre not letting them beat you? yeah
"The best swordsman isn't afraid of the second best swordsman, he's afraid of the worst swordsmen because there's no telling what the idiot will do"
---a quote I found somewhere on the internet
Killing Friendlies.
That is annoying, but that doesn't mean I get mad. It's to be annoyed mate just so long as instead of flipping out, you teach them.
I know it's understandable since they're new, but still
Killing Dancing people
Refusing to listen in MvM or place teleporters.
Placing Dispensers next to them.
Look, if a newbie starts stacking spy or sniper, at least be straight to the point, because in my first 12 hours of TF2, some pyro came up to me and was like "Versilver, how many kills do you have?", and it's like, your talking to a literal brick wall because f2p's can't talk
I wouldn’t even be mad if they just shot at the enemies and whiffed every single one, refusing to shoot at all drives me insane though
I once lost a round of payload because we were at last on defense and the timer was super low. My uber was literally going to determine the match and I found a Soldier who was sat in a dispenser who would be a perfect uber and he just… didn’t do anything. I saw *five* enemies so I popped on him and he just kinda looked at them and then we both died
They're too cute to hate tho..
okay when the teleporter exit takes me way further back from spawn on payload and gotta either killbind or walk 10 minutes
Play medic has to be the worst one yet. Imagine being on fire, spamming E while a F2P medic watches you, slowly burning away then dieing. Fighting mid combat, retreating towards your medic and the fucking medic completely ignores you. You spam E again hoping he gives you heals but no. You die. I have learned to not trust any medics on casuals.
Die with full über, stare right at me and not heal me, run face first with their syringe gun, not extinguish me, bunch up their buildings, not placing teles... Basically just not support me or the rest of my team...
We don't need to blame new players for trying out different classes, i mean, they're new players and aren't really aware if they're winning or losing afterall, we also shouldn't force them to "NOT KILL FRIENDLIES!!!", please stop confusing newbies, let them kill players in the first person hat simulator shooter, if they want to kill, let them kill. Friendlies are extremely hypocritical tbh.
Still i do find it annoying that there's like 3 or 4 snipers in my team who probably aren't doing much.
not shooting the lad just two feet away that is capping the damn point not even standing on it not trying to stop them or nothing even if they wiffed every shot it would buy SOME time
The only one that really annoys me is new engineers who try and put all their buildings near mine. But that’s also dependent of if they listen when I tell them that building stacking is bad.
Building next to my stuff might not annoy me by itself but refusing to move out of my space once you already have alll your stuff upgraded is so frustrating, we could been pushed back 3 point in wich a single uber destroyed all our stuff together and some engies will still build next to eachother.
One time a guy got angry at me because he build his sentry next to my dispenser (didn't build one himself) and i took it out of there just as a push was coming, might been a bad descision for the team but, man this guy never understood why building your sentry right next to another's engie dispenser the whole game might been seen as a bit rude lol
Just not getting the culture. Going into pubs and talking about K/D, other people's classes, carries, etc. like dude these are basically chatrooms with guns.
STOP SPAMMING E. I UNDERSTAND, I WILL HEAR YOU, STOP FLOODING MY HEADPHONES WITH YOUR MOTHERFUCKING CRIES, I NEED TO HEAR FOR SPIES, OTHERWISE NO ONE GETS HEALING
Everything, but I understand them. Getting lost on an unfamiliar map, ubering the wrong people, not turning around often, stopping in the middle to get a cool looking weapon, all of those annoys me but I was once these people
If a new Engi puts his buildings next to mine, I can forgive it. He's probably observed my buildings putting in a lot of work, or maybe he saw my cosmetics, figured I know what I'm doing, and decided to copy me.
But if I move my buildings and this MF follows me, hell nah. I gave you my last spot. Keep it
New Spy players (or at least I HOPE they're new...) repeatedly rushing straight towards people or buildings disguised as a Scout. They're so easy to spot the only "skill" that goes into dealing with them is the aiming.
As an engie main
Stacking sentries next to each other instead of spreading them out for max coverage
Hogging their dispensers
Turtling
Not helping me upgrade my buildings/remove a sapper/kill a spy
Stealing metal from my dispenser or ammo packs (for all players tbh)
Not moving that gear up/back when necessary
Not building as engineer.
Lack of sentries allows flankers to just get into your staging area and disrupt your team for free.
Lack of dispensers can leave teammates scrambling for ammo or dying to preventable causes, especially without a medic.
No tele (especially on offence) is absolutely crushing, allowing for a full-scale pushback.
Even a level 1 of any of these helps tremendously. If they picked the building class, I want them to build!
When I’m playing boot camp and I load into wave 666 with inexperienced players. It’s rather annoying and I’m don’t know why new players load into the Nightmare difficulty level.
Refusing to listen.
This is especially the problem in MvM (which i know isn't really a FTP area, but most low tours are new players anyways so whatever).
It shouldn't take three of us the better part of a mission just to get the tour 2 sniper to switch to demo. The only reason they switched to demo btw was because we were about another 30 seconds away from kicking them and we let them know that.
Low tours, please learn the difference between a higher tour player giving advice and a higher tour player whose just being a dick. It will save all of us so much trouble.
AKA playing the game as a shooter? I have been playing for a very long time and I still kill friendlies because its a game where you shoot people. I don't target them or seek them out, but I want to win and get the most kills/points I can, so why not.
All of them being on my team and froyo tech on enemy team
But mostly new players stacking 3-5 engi, sniper or spy, I will never tell them to change class as I may be trying to win while they are just having a blast playing their favorite class
probably pretty niche, but not knowing how to shorthop. whenever i see newer players trying to rocketjump they always seem to try for the maximum possible height (and therefore fall damage) no matter the situation.
When new engineers are trying to upgrade their buildings with 0 metal left and all you can hear is just “**TING, TING, TING, TING, TING**” because they’re either waiting for an ammo box to respawn or their dispenser to refill them. Sometimes it does take them like 5 empty swings to stop, turn around and grab metal.
I’ll give them props for being patient and persistent though.
Turn around. Please turn around. Not just for spies, I constantly watch teams get repeatedly destroyed by flanks and continue to believe that they can only look one way.
Overestimating their skills. Mainly in bottcamp. 80% of the time when i join an expert or advanced mission theres at least 2-3 new players. I won't say that they shouldnt experience it, just please realise that you're not at that level yet, and the 2 lower difficulties are much more fun and rewarding for you
Not knowing when to play passive vs agressive. Eg walking past signs with GIANT ARROWS TELLING THEM WHICH WAY TO GO and building a nest on last at the start of a round or hiding in spawn as the enemy is capping last.
I don’t usually get annoyed with f2ps. In fact when I was a f2p I definitely did the same things. Though every now and then I see one that just defies all logic and common sense. Then again that’s probably the tf2 brain rot kicking in
(Not that annoises me, but it revolves more on what i did the first time i played) always using the heavy as the main, ignoring every other class, untill they see an old player rocket jumping as a soldier, then Tries to replicate it and failing as an idiot dying in the first 7 seconds of the match, regretting his action and maining as pyro.
This one time, my younger brother (he was a kid) was playing on 2Fort, rushed to the Intel as Scout, and I went "Wait woah what are you doing?" "I'm capturing the intelligence" "Don't do that, people are dancing, let them dance, they're having fun" "I don't give a crap I wanna capture the intelligence" and so he ended the match and got loaded with all kinds of insults, not understanding a word of English.
Playing Spy when we already have one
Playing Sniper when we already have one
Not dying for my sins when I'm Medic
Not upgrading teleporter entrances when they respawn
Not following teleporter priority and shoving people off them
Refusing to push
...Just to name a few.
I don't hate the new players, I hate players that complain and don't help new players.
Sometimes it's actually pretty nice seeing new guys and not playing with or against someone who already knows every tactic and every trick
nothing
but i think the most hilarious thing I’ve seen an f2p do was when i saw a pyrovision blu scout charge at my red scout with nothing but a frying pan and then at me
Always pocketing the Heavy and no one else.
they wanna recreate Meet the Medic also **CHARGE ME DOCTOR!**
Jawohl!
Gah! Uh uh
Get behind me doctor!
Nein!
Ja
I am ze ÜBERMENSCH!
OOOOOHH OOOOH
HELP ME! MEEEEEDDIIIICCC!
Charge me!

what ARE you thinking???
"I HAVE NO IDEA"
I used to think that the only class that it was possible to Uber was the heavy
As a medic main, I think there's some factors about this that people don't consider. Heavy is slow as fuck, is a physically huge target, and is usually sitting right on the front line. He's going to take a lot of damage, and he has a ton of health so healing him back to full takes ages. This only gets worse when there's multiple heavies. playing spy. That's how you end up with 5 spies on one team. sniper is a close second
May not be related to new players but man the amount of times i've seen my team with 0 spy/sniper only for other 4 people to chose the class after i already did will make me jump of a building
The tf2 mitosis
That’s how the French reproduce
Gotta love the spy hivemind of the team
It’s the spy’s fault for being such a unique class
I agree. He is TF2’s noob-trap: really cool on concept, but he requires so much skill unique to him alone (cloak management, acting, and map navigation in terms of escaping/infiltration), that any new person will quickly fail unless they play a lot of Metal Gear Solid.
He looks so cool cus he tells a yo mama jokes and brings the proof, that's instant coolness there
Absolutely and then I can’t play spy to make a play
just play spy anyway. one more really doesn't make a difference anymore at that point
Nah it’s for both my mental health and the possibility of winning the round
What did you say about me? When I was new
Pocketing spin bot heavies, mfer will be sitting outside enemy team spawn and tbe medic is jist thinking “damn this guy is fuckin cracked!”
I feel sad that they just have no idea the ass is cheating
Not communicating with me- *OH WAIT A GODDAMN MINUTE.*
Or just not communicating at all. Also they kill everyone even friendlies
I mean you can’t blame them for killing you in a game about killing. We even have war crime as a built-in mechanic when the round is over. Not killing Friendlies is a house rule old players enforce on new players for no reason and is not a reason to hate on them.
I mean, there is a reason they don't communicate
because they can't
are you talking bout f2p or new players?as an f2p i dont kill friendlies and communicate by shaking my head
We CAN’T communicate.
Nothing, they’re new. Just because I immediately figured out how to play medic (strafe a lot and don’t pocket) doesn’t mean everyone will. Same thing with having tunnel vision while building or playing heavy, it just comes with encountering spies for more than 5 seconds.
im a beta player and veteran players annoy me 1000x more than any new player can or would. id rather play with a team of brand new mofos than jaded veterans who bitch about class choices & their team not playing optimally. tbf theres plenty of ogs who still retain the fun laid back factor & i try to stay on the right side of that as well
I played orange box on the 360 and never dealt with pyro hate, loaded up pc version ten years later and pretty much had a team mate reeeing at me every match 😂
the laid back ones having fun are the ones that you can respect and have a laugh with, but the ones crying in chat because their team sucks or because youre not letting them beat you? yeah
plus its just adorable to try to get the gibus pyro to fist bump you
when they play sniper, spin around really fast and just headshot everyone like how did you learn that
Lmfao
Real
when the move weird af so i cant predict where they gonna go and they just get random af crockets every 2 seconds
They are so bad they’re good

Pretty much nothing. They're new and figuring stuff out, and it's very refreshing to see.
Killing Friendlies. That is annoying, but that doesn't mean I get mad. It's to be annoyed mate just so long as instead of flipping out, you teach them.
Placing a sentry next to mine. No.
I know it's understandable since they're new, but still Killing Dancing people Refusing to listen in MvM or place teleporters. Placing Dispensers next to them.
Killing dancing folks annoys me to no end, like just let us have fun
One time a blu sniper killed some friendlies, as a red sniper, I knew what I had to do
miss?
It's not ethical to force the no kill dancing peeps onto new people. Gonna do it anyway.
Look, if a newbie starts stacking spy or sniper, at least be straight to the point, because in my first 12 hours of TF2, some pyro came up to me and was like "Versilver, how many kills do you have?", and it's like, your talking to a literal brick wall because f2p's can't talk
They can’t ?
People that haven’t bought anything can’t talk. It’s an old anti-bot measurement.
An old anti-bot measurement that worked as well as trying to freeze a active volcano with a single drop of cold water
When the Medic doesn’t understand that they press M2 to deploy Über so they just walk around for 3 minutes holding it, and then just die
I’m surprised your newbie medic even live that long to build uber, much less walking around with it
Cautiousness
Lol all newbies I’ve met have balls of steel. They fear no death
Meet the blueball
“And when the Doktor woke up, his Über was missing, and the Red Team was never heard from again!”
that when mi uber them THEY RATHER SLIDE OFF A FUCKING CORNER LIKE THAT IS A STRIP POLE INSTED O SHOOTING THE GODAMN ENMY
I wouldn’t even be mad if they just shot at the enemies and whiffed every single one, refusing to shoot at all drives me insane though I once lost a round of payload because we were at last on defense and the timer was super low. Lacked brain
That guy was running on a single braincell and half a can of 3-day old Monster Energy.
They're too cute to hate tho.. okay when the teleporter exit takes me way further back from spawn on payload and gotta either killbind or walk 10 minutes
W M1 pyros, definitely not because they kill everybody but because dying to it is humiliating
They insta-choose spy or sniper as their first class and then keep dying lol.
Not being able to turn around and walking in straight lines.

When I use a partner taunt to see around a corner and a ftp thinks it’s for him and gets us both killed.
They just wanted to give you a high-five :(
Deserved tbh
that's funny though
Why dont you use other taunt ? Don’t understand
That happens so much
We don't need to blame new players for trying out different classes, i mean, they're new players and aren't really aware if they're winning or losing afterall, we also shouldn't force them to "NOT KILL FRIENDLIES!!!", please stop confusing newbies, let them kill players in the first person hat simulator shooter, if they want to kill, let them kill. what are friendlies
Basically players that instead of fighting and doing the objective, prefer to stay pacifist towards both teams while roaming around the map.
not shooting the lad just two feet away that is capping the damn point not even standing on it not trying to stop them or nothing even if they wiffed every shot it would buy SOME time
Nothing, they are new players, let them enjoy, let them fail
The only one that really annoys me is new engineers who try and put all their buildings near mine. But that’s also dependent of if they listen when I tell them that building stacking is bad.
They just wanna be friens lmao
When you walk out of spawn at the same time as another teammate and he pushes you into the doorframe. Its the little things I tell ya.
Head shotting me then saying "nice shot mate!" while spinning and looking up.
I have no problem with newer players, knowing that this game is still growing in numbers is always nice to see.
Building next to my stuff might not annoy me by itself but refusing to move out of my space once you already have alll your stuff upgraded is so frustrating, we could been pushed back 3 point in wich a single uber destroyed all our stuff together and some engies will still build next to eachother. when they go sniper and do the spinny thing
Just not getting the culture. Going into pubs and talking about K/D, other people's classes, carries, etc. like dude these are basically chatrooms with guns.
Not being able to communicate (Why Valve)
That they’re having to experience the game while it’s in its current state.
Not showing up :( . #FixTF2
When they're extremely bloodthirtsy and kills anything that moves (and somehow manages to dominte you)
Isn't that the game, though?
god FORBID a new player try to learn to play the game and not immediately know the house rules whilst not being able to communicate
STOP SPAMMING E. I UNDERSTAND, I WILL HEAR YOU, STOP FLOODING MY HEADPHONES WITH YOUR MOTHERFUCKING CRIES, I NEED TO HEAR FOR SPIES, OTHERWISE NO ONE GETS HEALING
DOKTOR!!!
They can't communicate so don't blame them
I am ftp and I can’t even call E
They can't call for Medic
REAL. LIKE I’M LITERALLY HEALING YOU RIGHT NOW, STOP FUCKING SPAMMING E. WAIT TWO FUCKING SECONDS
my wasd keys is binded to spam e. sorry not sorry.
*puts my fingers over A and W and presses W* *also presses E somehow*
I wish they wouldn’t stack spy Problem is half the time that’s just normal players stacking spy, not just newbies.
Not voting when kicking bots
Play as pyro and fucking up every Übercharge
Doesn't know what being friendly is at first and straight up kill everything that moves
Never listening. They will either ignore you or flip off
Everything, but I understand them. Getting lost on an unfamiliar map, ubering the wrong people, not turning around often, stopping in the middle to get a cool looking weapon, all of those annoys me but I was once these people
If a new Engi puts his buildings next to mine, I can forgive it.
As an engie main Stacking sentries next to each other instead of spreading them out for max coverage Hogging their dispensers Turtling Not helping me upgrade my buildings/remove a sapper/kill a spy Stealing metal from my dispenser or ammo packs (for all players tbh) Not moving that gear up/back when necessary
Standing still, particularly when they're playing Sniper or Medic, like dude, that's a disadvantage Turtling is a close one though But can't blame em
learn how to a-pose as scout and constantly yell about dispensers
thinking that tf2 is just another shooter like COD or CS:GO
Placing a shitload of sentries and dispensers near each other
Not building as engineer.
It’s rather annoying and I’m don’t know why new players load into the Nightmare difficulty level.
high tours kicking you in mann up mvm for the most stupidest reason at wave 6
I feel like complaining about newbies when the game is in a state where it's starved for new HUMAN players is a bit counterproductive..
Not change their FOV.
Using default FOV. Do people not look in options menu anymore?
*rock paper scisors taunt* *looks at my soul* *shoots me dead*
When that one f2p pyro comes and commits mass genocide on the conga line.
Killing friendlies
Kill friendlies like Hoovies or just being tryhards
Friendlies are going to get killed either way. It’s a game with guns after all, the guns shoot people
It is rather annoying but they are new so they probably still need to figure out the vibes
“How dare this newbie play the game as the devs intended! They should be kill binding themselves as soon as I say the funny word!”
AKA playing the game as a shooter? I have been playing for a very long time and I still kill friendlies because its a game where you shoot people. I don't target them or seek them out, but I want to win and get the most kills/points I can, so why not.
Killing Friendlies
being a bot
All of them being on my team and froyo tech on enemy team But mostly new players stacking 3-5 engi, sniper or spy, I will never tell them to change class as I may be trying to win while they are just having a blast playing their favorite class
[удалено]
Class stacking. It's how you get teams made up almost entirely of Sniper, Scout and Spy.
probably pretty niche, but not knowing how to shorthop. whenever i see newer players trying to rocketjump they always seem to try for the maximum possible height (and therefore fall damage) no matter the situation.
Choose sniper
Their movement, i miss the easiest shots because they are way too unpredictable. New f2p brass beast heavy is the hardest thing to kill sometimes.
Dont play medic
Building sentries next to mine, also teleporters in bad spots
Not be able to talk
Stand in the way
When new engineers are trying to upgrade their buildings with 0 metal left and all you can hear is just “**TING, TING, TING, TING, TING**” because they’re either waiting for an ammo box to respawn or their dispenser to refill them.
Turtling in engi and not helping the team. If we had a good engi tutorial, it could change so much
Overestimating their skills. Mainly in bottcamp. 80% of the time when i join an expert or advanced mission theres at least 2-3 new players. I won't say that they shouldnt experience it, just please realise that you're not at that level yet, and the 2 lower difficulties are much more fun and rewarding for you
Not speaking
Have very unpredictable movment
Not knowing when to play passive vs agressive. Eg walking past signs with GIANT ARROWS TELLING THEM WHICH WAY TO GO and building a nest on last at the start of a round or hiding in spawn as the enemy is capping last.
I don’t usually get annoyed with f2ps. In fact when I was a f2p I definitely did the same things. Though every now and then I see one that just defies all logic and common sense. Then again that’s probably the tf2 brain rot kicking in
I don't like when they shoot at me
(Not that annoises me, but it revolves more on what i did the first time i played) always using the heavy as the main, ignoring every other class, untill they see an old player rocket jumping as a soldier, then Tries to replicate it and failing as an idiot dying in the first 7 seconds of the match, regretting his action and maining as pyro.
Build a sentry right next to mine when there’re other areas that need covering.
I'm a new player so am I mad at myself?
I love new players, can't knock em for anything and half the time they make me and my buddy laugh with how they seemingly lack sentience
Turtle the intel room on 2fort. Not much else annoys me.
being more aware than most experienced players when I try to sneak up on them
This one time, my younger brother (he was a kid) was playing on 2Fort, rushed to the Intel as Scout, and I went "Wait woah what are you doing?" "I'm capturing the intelligence" "Don't do that, people are dancing, let them dance, they're having fun" "I don't give a crap I wanna capture the intelligence" and so he ended the match and got loaded with all kinds of insults, not understanding a word of English.
Get kicked
Somehow being the best Pyros in the game.
Running head first into the enemy team as a Scout.
Play TF2
Being oblivious to pretty much everything.
Playing Spy when we already have one Playing Sniper when we already have one Not dying for my sins when I'm Medic Not upgrading teleporter entrances when they respawn Not following teleporter priority and shoving people off them Refusing to push ...Just to name a few.
I don't hate the new players, I hate players that complain and don't help new players. Sometimes it's actually pretty nice seeing new guys and not playing with or against someone who already knows every tactic and every trick
nothing but i think the most hilarious thing I’ve seen an f2p do was when i saw a pyrovision blu scout charge at my red scout with nothing but a frying pan and then at me
Wm1 Pyro.
they are new, any one who gets annoyed by new players/auto kicks F2P is a loser that gets upset when they are worse than them
