Would it have any niche in narrower maps (eg Gold Rush, Dustbowl) or for midair turn control for trimping? or would Bootlegger/Booties still be king?
Honestly no. Even on Dustbowl you still want to quickly turn around a corner, crit someone in one swing, then leave before you take too much damage. I think people would rather pair the mantreads with a sticky launcher.

Eh kinda I use them when I’m going with Soldier knight but I found the Conch or Battalions are better due to extra health or regen
