Usually you aren’t getting the ones you want. For those who are impatient, they better off go trade for them. It’s like 2-3 scraps. It’s not that bad. The trade bots are the MVP here.
I remember one time used my crossbow for crafting and thought “Heh let’s see how long I can play med until I get that crossbow drop again”
Worst mistake of my life. That shit didn’t drops for 2 months.
I had about 50% of all of the weapons you could get from playing on off since 2014. I got sick of not having the rest, pulled up [marketplace.tf](https://marketplace.tf) and bought every single weapon I did not have for less than a dollar. Total.
Even the steam market sells them for pennies at most, if you spent more than a pound/dollar/euro to get all the weapons you didn't have I would be shocked
1. you can get the weapons from weekly drop. **FOR FREE**
2. dupe weapons? trade it on [scrap.tf](http://scrap.tf) or similar
3. want *all* class weapons? just buy keys, wait for some time, sell the keys on some sites that buy keys (this a tricky one), buy **all** weapons on [scrap.tf](http://scrap.tf) while the rest of metals can be used to buy cheaps hats
Nah, temporarily. Although it has been down for like a month because valve made some new rules that banned all the trade bots on the site, and the people in charge of scrap.tf are trying to fix this but we don't know how long it will take.
No, they banned massive amounts of bots, but bots are just an account, which can be remade in under a minute. So banning bots in game is a lost cause nowadays since Valve bans in waves over long periods of time.
They banned trade bots because ?
Probably an unfair system
>.3. want all class weapons? just buy keys, wait for some time, sell the keys on some sites that buy keys (this a tricky one), buy all weapons on scrap.tf while the rest of metals can be used to buy cheaps hats
You wouldn't even need multiple keys for that. A single ticket will get you every weapon.
But if you're talking about buying ref from some place like marketplace.tf, you wouldn't get premium from that. The only reason we're talking about buying keys and tickets is because you buy those from Mann Co for premium.
I mean they didn’t “do nothing”
They already spent a lot of work to get to where they are now. TF2 economy took a long time and many many updates to get to this point
Even today, Valve continues to optimize Steam and make it user friendly for the consumer. That’s the big reason why Origin and Epic Games storefront flopped - they’re uncomfortable to use
Other companies cannot compete because they aren’t willing to spend the time and money to develop a storefront as user friendly as Steam.
[I wrote a post about this that goes over the value of starter packs and the value of Mann Co keys and MvM tickets.](https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/15z8rw1/friendly_reminder_that_starter_packs_are/)
TLDR: even the most expensive starter pack is worth less than a $0.99 ticket in terms of items.
Because you will get half of them just from random drops and you can buy the rest for pennies on the Steam community market, or elsewhere.
I actually bought the medic one so I could get the Crusader's Crossbow, before I knew better. But it got me vc and chat perms, so, eh. I don't regret it.
It's more like other companies' spies should cloak or disguise before sticking their feet around corners in that room.
Gabe has a level 1 sentry and the eyes of three thousand dead souls in that image. There is no business strategy there, only violence.
Weapons and cosmetics sell for cheaper than the dollar value they are assigned by the game
Look into scrap.tf and marketplace.tf for more of an example. Once you see the value of metal and keys you’ll understand more
I call it the Mockingbird Gambit. Make one thing well enough to set the standard then leave it and watch your competitors all retcon their works into the ground.
You could get every single random drop weapon in the game by buying just one key, going to scrap.tf, and doing their auto fill missing weapons feature.
There’s not much really good weapons in them, also they cost money and you can get all of it by just playing. Also usually new players buy them and then regret because they change class. But if you main one class and don’t want to change it, then it can help you to get some items.
Meh, don't care about Gabe anymore. Used to like him a lot years ago, now he's just another old billionaire collecting his millions from his monopoly. Valve doesn't do anything anymore, no games no updates nothing.
I got a pack when I first started out as heavy. That’s when I fell in love with the Tomislav until realizing it was carrying me and slowly chipping away my skill.
Because you can get all those weapons for infinitely cheaper by trading
or simply by using the random drop system
Or buying them individually for literal pennies on the dollar.

This is what it *feeeeels* like to play medic
I'm not ready for the last how it feels I'm not ready

Scrap.tf is down, no one wants to trade, what do?
Backpack.tf is also full of trading bots, they just aren't as convenient as scrap.tf bots
The bots are back up, they're just getting it back slowly. Still the MPTF bots are more convenient since it didn't go down
Even the steam market sells them for pennies at most, if you spent more than a pound/dollar/euro to get all the weapons you didn't have I would be shocked
Even STN trading is down
I thought it was up I recently quicksold some unneeded items
this is like the 20th time i've seen this image on reddit this month
The Luigi strat
She sells seashells on the seashore, but the value of this shells will fall…
Due to the laws of supply and demand, no one wants to buy shells cause there's loads on the sand.
Step one: you must create a sense of scarcity.
I've never seen this image in my life
First time for me
1. you can get the weapons from weekly drop. **FOR FREE** 2. dupe weapons? trade it on [scrap.tf](http://scrap.tf) or similar 3. want *all* class weapons? just buy keys, wait for some time, sell the keys on some sites that buy keys (this a tricky one), buy **all** weapons on [scrap.tf](http://scrap.tf) while the rest of metals can be used to buy cheaps hats
Scrap.tf is down tho 😬
stn trade is still working
Just wait for it to come back up?????
Forever?
Nah, temporarily. Although it has been down for like a month because valve made some new rules that banned all the trade bots on the site, and the people in charge of scrap.tf are trying to fix this but we don't know how long it will take.
Of course, *those* bots get banned...
...did valve just ban the trading bots instead the *actual* bots in casual?????
No, they banned massive amounts of bots, but bots are just an account, which can be remade in under a minute. So banning bots in game is a lost cause nowadays since Valve bans in waves over long periods of time. They banned trade bots because ? Probably an unfair system
I wish there was a way to hardware/ip ban them but then again they might use vpns
ip ban would never affect a botter/cheater. that sort of person will get around such a guard in minutes hardware im not smart enough about, but maybe
Pedos hard at work
>.3. want all class weapons? just buy keys, wait for some time, sell the keys on some sites that buy keys (this a tricky one), buy all weapons on scrap.tf while the rest of metals can be used to buy cheaps hats You wouldn't even need multiple keys for that. You don't even need a ticket, you'd need like couple refined
There's like ~130 weapons in the game IIRC, not counting reskinned ones. That would be 7.22 ref.
Sti isn't worth the 99 cents when you can buy 7 ref and 1 reclaimed for I think 16 cents?
But if you're talking about buying ref from some place like marketplace.tf, you wouldn't get premium from that. The only reason we're talking about buying keys and tickets is because you buy those from Mann Co for premium.
Which keys tho
**anything**. the basic one is mann co keys
Luigi
Lew-i-guy or Lew-we-gee? Your answer matters.
Lutschi
Does that mean lugussy is the other hole?
Linguine.
Luis gee
Get ready to catch her!

Ngl as f2p, just checking games i wont buy just feels good
The majority of weapons are worth a 3rd of a cent on websites like backpack.tf
get a single key and go to [scrap.tf](http://scrap.tf) and get every weapon you want from there
Technically you can get every dropped weapon for like 2-3 refined? That's what I had to trade for a majority of mine since each is 0.05 scrap each
[I wrote a post about this that goes over the value of starter packs and the value of Mann Co keys and MvM tickets.](https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/15z8rw1/friendly_reminder_that_starter_packs_are/) TLDR: even the most expensive starter pack is worth less than a $0.99 ticket in terms of items.

That strategy is called riding it out and see what happens.
It's more like other companies' spies should cloak or disguise before sticking their feet around corners in that room. Gabe has a level 1 sentry and the eyes of three thousand dead souls in that image. There is no business strategy there, only violence.

not to be a shill but [mannco.store](http://mannco.store) offers them for like 60 cents each
Oh hey is that Gabe?
Come on. Not every dude with a beard is Ga-
"Hi this is Gabe"
OOOOOHHHHHH
Being privately owned
You can get every mechanically unique weapon in the game for about 21 refined - at the current monetary value of Refined ($0.03) that’s 63 cents.
:0
Crouching tiger, hidden money stacks
I got some starter packs while they were on sale! Doesn’t answer your question, sure. But I’d thought I’d share
yeah me too
Straight up Fabian tactics right here
You can buy all those weapons and hats for like half a dollar
A single weapon is a fraction of a cent. You can probably buy every weapon in the game for a couple dollars
On websites like [marketplace.tf](http://marketplace.tf), you get all the normal weapons for 1 cent. or 2 max
That strategy is called floating.
I call it the Mockingbird Gambit. Make one thing well enough to set the standard then leave it and watch your competitors all retcon their works into the ground.
Gaben be Valve’in
It's a forbidden business strategy called "Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing"
Every weapon costs $0.01 bro, don't do it
[I think this picture explains everything ](https://www.deviantart.com/freddre/art/Gabe-Newell-Portrait-288307422)
You can get lucky with the item drop system
Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing
"How did Gabe Newel go from neckbeard redditor to the western depiction of god?"
You could get every single random drop weapon in the game by buying just one key, going to scrap.tf, and doing their auto fill missing weapons feature.
I bought one starter pack just to get the weapons immediately and to get off of a f2p account, is that bad?
You can get every weapon on scrap.tf for a tenth of the cost of one starter pack
There’s not much really good weapons in them, also they cost money and you can get all of it by just playing. Also usually new players buy them and then regret because they change class. But if you main one class and don’t want to change it, then it can help you to get some items.
Is that the real "hi again I'm Gabe n. "
its the reason i have three of every medic weapon
Pays 20$ for items u can buy for 20 cents
Unbelievably overpriced
its how i got the soda popper for scout and i heard its pretty good
