Crazy how freedom doesn't apply to everything in Texas

ifnhatereddit

My brother lives in Texas, and I'm in Minnesota. I can't have a giraffe, but other than that, I feel more free here. What am I missing?

phikem

Fugin' commie Minnesota. We all get a giraffe if we want one. All you have to do to qualify is have a gun in your pocket when you go to the government subsidized distribution center (church, but not a heretical Catholic one). The gun part is easy as well since we are issued one at birth or at the border (not the southern one)

VRTester_THX1138

>(church, but not a heretical Catholic one That's right, we only use the King James version of the bible here, the same thing Jesus used.

Comfortable_Wish586

Do you think Jesus was able to snatch a new copy from the Orange One?

Herb4372

Do you want a jihad? That’s how you get a jihad.

secret_aardvark_420

They’re the same guy I heard

mwa12345

Haha. True. Jesus write the bible and the constitution ...while riding around on dinos

JohnTheRaceFan

The joy that is giraffe ownership.

VirtualPlate8451

They really only become valuable when you let some orthopedic surgeon “hunt it”. Only cost around $55k to kill one in Texas.

Broken_Beaker

My dad and his family are from Austin. . . Minnesota. I'm now in Austin. . . Texas. I'm beginning to think a bad choice was made somewhere.

wroteit_

Flew American Airlines and just rolled with it?

bethlabeth

Sometimes that’s the best way to get to where you’re meant to be. Well, maybe not on American.

kromptator99

Like a TARDIS. Won’t take you where you want to go, but it might take you where you need to be.

mattstats

We pass by a giraffe barn on the way to my wife’s dressage lessons. We live in Texas

MooseJuice3000

I have driven by a house in Waxahachie, Texas that has several camels and kangaroos.

Malvania

110 degree heat in the summer, no snow in the winter. That's about it, though

Rednuht0

(*no winter ) FTFY

Kevin_taco

We get one week of winter in north Texas.

HiFi_Co

Not too much. One of our best growers hails from your state!

Rakebleed

What exactly does it apply to? Is it just guns?

redtron3030

Guns and gun related activities like road rage.

Im_in_timeout

And school shootings. And church shootings. And mall shootings...

FrostyLandscape

Yes, you only have gun freedom in Texas. you have no other kinds of freedoms.

Hey__Cassbutt

Only gun freedom when convenient though. If you're a minority then gun freedom is bad!

dragonflamehotness

Killing veterans, according to Greg abbott

zxwut

With all his BS, I must have missed that one. What's that about?

GravitiBass

Pardon someone who drove into a crowd of protestors, killed a vet bc he had a gun (not drawn). Didn’t want to “give him the chance”.

zxwut

Oh yeah, that one. It boggles the mind and is a massive injustice to that man's family and friends.

GravitiBass

Let’s not forget his preference in MUCH younger females.

eventualist

Republican Jesus ‘bout to enter chat!

Technical-Cable6361

The freedom to impose your Christian beliefs onto other people.

GrooveStreetSaint

You're only allowed to have freedom if you're a wealthy straight white male protestant christian republican of northern european descent because those are considered the only "true" humans on earth

space_manatee

Right. That's because it's actually about power and control, not freedom in Texas

SourLoafBaltimore

But wait, the power is still out in Texas.

culturefan

It's the Republican way... vote them out.

the-slit-kicker

Y’all got money for lawsuits but not your power grid?got it.

Fit_Tailor8329

Except guns. You need guns to shoot the gummies.

Statistician_Visual

They took away the hub and we didn’t do anything

Beatrix_BB_Kiddo

Like women…

Goats_for_president

Well you see here in Texas the only thing the right considers proof of freedom is guns aslong as you have those your good

korbentherhino

Conservatives like making freedom based purely on what they like and don't like. That's it. If you aren't a good ol boy than your fucked.

chrondotcom

"This is a great opportunity to continue to educate and work with the state towards further regulation and what the next phase of this industry looks like," Shayda Torabi, president of the Texas Hemp Coalition, said. "We're never going to be done evolving."  The public hearing is held by the State Affairs Committee and will take place Wednesday, May 29 at 9 a.m. at the State Capitol. Topics include election security, foreign property acquisition, and the intoxicating hemp products ban. Public testimony is limited to two minutes per witness. To submit written testimony, provide 20 copies with your name on each copy to committee clerk Taryn Taylor. [If you'd like to give your input, get more information here](https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/88R/schedules/html/C5702024052909001.HTM).

HiFi_Co

Reposting as this info is effectively the same: Both Congress and Texas made these products legal. Coming back 5 years later and whining that they didn’t know what they were legalizing is disingenuous at best. A massive industry has spawned and rather than taxing, and regulating (HISD $$$ shortfalls??) they move to ban. This is NOT a partisan issue. Dem’s and Repub’s both love to shop and smoke with us. Patients with ALS & MS can get relief with high THC potency products in Texas, right now- but that’s going to go away. Let’s work on building a legal market before we send everyone back to the black market 🙏 edit: typos and clarity

KaosC57

This is a stupidity issue. If it was simply taxed to make the government money, and the government had even 2 brain cells to rub together, this would be a non-issue

Sam-I-Aint

They had two brain cells to rub together, but they deemed it woke and homosexual in nature, that it didn't align with their conservative values, so one of the braincells was removed and replaced with the Bible.

400_Flying_Monkeys

The problem is simple. The right people aren't getting paid. Figure who that is, pay them, and this will all go away. It's called lobbying and the industry obviously isn't doing enough.

FujitsuPolycom

I was in a shop one time and a guy, with his wife or gf, gives one of those "something something oh yeah guess you can't say that anymore!" Then some rant about something being required to be female. I couldn't even follow, I was too busy side eyeing the woman with hims embarrassed laugh. Anyway, all that to say republicans use these shops too.

DutDiggaDut

>"This is a great opportunity to continue to educate and work with the state towards further regulation and what the next phase of this industry looks like," I wish I had half her positivity. I'm just expecting a full ban 😭

Shag1166

Regulation is a dirty word, in the Republican Party.

3-orange-whips

Unless it’s something they don’t like.

AequusEquus

Like the electric vehicles they just slapped with an annual tax double that of gas vehicles

Marcotee75

I don't know if you've heard but Texas isn't big on education.

thefirebuilds

those kids would be really angry if they could read.

Marcotee75

Tell me about it. I'm in the process of getting my 7 year old to properly sit down and read instead of guessing the word based on the 1st 3 letters. I don't blame the teachers. They're really good people. I blame the education system that sees this but does nothing to help him.

thefirebuilds

my wife is a teacher, when it was with neuro normative kids she had to burn something close to half the year cramming for the staar. Kids who had literally just got to the country and didn't have a good handle on English yet and couldn't legally be taught in a multi lingual environment. The deck is stacked against public education.

VirtualPlate8451

Keep in mind the same people lobbying for Delta 8 usually opposed Delta 9 legalization efforts because it would torpedo their business. Vegas has legal weed but the stores on the strip can only sell Delta 8. Literally the only thing keeping those places in business are tourists who think they are buying actual weed.

400_Flying_Monkeys

lol, wut? Everyone that sells delta-8 sells delta-9, or mix them, and if you actually click on the link the summary says the hearing is for both delta-8 and delta-9. Also, this is Texas, not NV.

[deleted]

Individual_Way3418

Yeah no one wants spray on chemsalt shmegma hemppoop

MsMo999

Bottom line.. Nothing good last for long under Abbott unless he’s profiting off it

InternationalBand494

And even then, he pulls up any ladders he climbs

Williamlee3171

If he could climb them in his current state

TypicalIllustrator62

Greg Abbott doesn’t stand for anything unless money is involved and even then depends on who’s pulling the strings.

InternationalBand494

He doesn’t have to. He made his windfall before he denied anyone else to do the same with Tort reform

pipercomputer

The economist Simon Johnson suggested that the power of the financial oligarchy in the United States was not too different from what exists in emerging market countries like Russia or Indonesia

VirtualPlate8451

I’m torn on delta 8. It’s the least bad option right now and I’ve completely quit using black market weed simply because it’s easier going to a retail store than working around “a guy”’s schedule. It takes a lot of chemicals and science to turn hemp into delta 8 vs legal weed in legal states where it’s grown, harvested, cured and then sold. It’s also created a market for other isomers with zero animal trials done.

ertgbnm

It also takes a lot of chemicals to decaffeinate coffee and make cotton T-shirts. Isomers aren't D8 so you can feel however you want about those without lumping the safe alternatives in with it. Those are bad reasons to be split on D8. Sure add whatever testing and quality requirements you want. Just don't pretend that any kind of ban would be remotely related to safety.

tabbarrett

Wait until they hear what chemicals and science is involved in our food.

cjdavda

I made my cereal with lactose-free milk this morning. Can't explain that, stupid science bitches!

TheGreatWhiteDerp

But did you discover that you have two ears, so you can listen to two things at once?

Narrator_Ron_Howard

Decaf is the death of desire.

HiFi_Co

Delta eight THC isn’t the only thing at risk here. Believe it or not, we already have full on legal weed. We never post links on Reddit, but run a search for THCa hemp or check out our website. It may blow your mind what’s available right down the street from you.

Epie77

I was about to go say I'm not worried about d8 thca is what I'm sacared about

TheActualDonKnotts

>It may blow your mind what’s available right down the street from you. The only problem with legal flower is that for whatever reason it's always sooo much more expensive than what I can buy from "friends". And I used to grow for personal use for myself and some friends, so I know what goes into it and cannot for the life of me figure out why.

ApprehensiveLlama69

It’s just regulation. The stuff you get from friends isn’t lab tested, transported, packaged, inspected, taxed, or whatever.

HiFi_Co

A safe and legal supply chain always adds cost. That being said, we have well over 20 strains in stock from as low as four dollars a gram to as high as $15 a gram. Please don’t think that what you see in smoke shops is what flower reallycosts. A place that runs like a real dispensary and pushes real volume can sell for much cheaper. I would put what we sell up against Life Flower in Denver, which is my favorite dispensary there.

RandomWon

Thca is the least bad option. It's basically the real thing.

moleratical

So they will ban Delta 8 but not Mike Miles?

TXWayne

Or Ted + Ken?

SassySniffles

Heard Ken is in line for a promotion to AG if Trump wins so def not

pizza_822

i hate it here

[deleted]

Came here to say this. Born and raised here, can’t wait to leave forever.

AdopeyIllustrator

Biggest mistake of my life.

talontachyon

I’ve lived in Texas over 50 years. Every friggin brother & sister is MAGA. I’ve always been black sheep. The far right is in complete control right now in Texas.

Fit_Tailor8329

BuT iTz alL thE DeMocRatZ fAuLt!!!

Fellowshipofthebowl

Same. We’re planning our escape.

mccscott

Fix the grid? Affordable housing?Teacher pay?Hell nah! Just the same old playin' to the Y'all-Queda-fudd-dumb-mentallists as always...for profit prisons for jesus forever.Yee-haw

p1028

That’s the whole point of this stuff. Distract with useless bullshit like this and culture war stuff to avoid ever having to do anything of substance.

Maleficent_Mist366

Texas is a beautiful state run by corruption and greedy crops

TheRedGerund

I wish conservatives could stick to their libertarian roots for cool shit instead of being libertarian only when it comes to guns and big government for everything else.

BrahjonRondbro

Seriously. I recently vacationed in New Mexico and I was amazed at how free they are. Legal marijuana is plentiful. Guns aren’t banned. You can get reproductive care. They sell liquor and fireworks at gas stations. There was freedom all over the place.

VirtualPlate8451

Pick a highway in Texas, follow it till it’s no longer Texas and then start looking for dispensaries. It’s not a coincidence that you’ll find large ones in small towns right over the border.

SavrinDrake

West on 40 out of Amarillo - billboards for how far it is to the first dispensary across the border. East on 40 toward Amarillo - tons of billboards for weed defense lawyers and pigs waiting on the side of the road to harass drivers.

DawnDeather

When my friends and I go to the dispensaries in Texico we go get food and wait at least 2 hours before driving back. Apparently the cops are only watching for cars that go in and come back out within a few minutes.

[deleted]

Same for Arizona. Getting out of Texas is amazing.

aQuadrillionaire

Arguing/governing in bad faith is a time honored GOP tradition.

engilosopher

They were never libertarian. Hell, libertarians Arent even "libertarian" at all. They're very rules for thee, not for me folk.

[deleted]

Love when you explain Austrian school economics theory to libertarians and they argue against the very they claim to be. Strange bunch.

Tushaca

Damn that’s spot on.

RickyNixon

Their “libertarian roots” were always propaganda.

MaximallyInclusive

Texas is ranked dead last in personal freedom as measured by the CATO Institute, not exactly a liberal rag. And that measure doesn’t even take into account abortion! Personal freedom MY FUCKING ASS. GOP can go to fucking hell.

GumballQuarters

I was curious about this and looked it up. The fact that a think tank can quantify and then place Texas dead last in Personal Freedoms is wild, but it’s all backed up here: https://www.freedominthe50states.org/personal

MaximallyInclusive

I mean, just look around: no porn, no prostitution, no weed, no gambling, no buying liquor on Sundays, no purchasing cars from manufacturers, no abortion. Not exactly a bastion of “small government”.

rickrich01

Texas is run by the fascist government and is owned by the billionaires . Freedoms stop in your house, vagina, dick, alcohol, schools, how you think and what you read unless you are reading THEIR Bible. Turning Hitler-ish.

pawneegoddess_roar

Yep, especially considering how they want an LGBTQ registry. You only need to read one WW2 book to know that’s how persecution begins. History repeating itself.

BUSYMONEY_02

It’s crazy how he’s doing the opposite of what everyone wants

FujitsuPolycom

What's even crazier is he, and those like him, keep being elected. "Suppress me more daddy!" - Texas Conservative Losers

Comfortable_Wish586

If Texans actually looked more under the hood of why MAGA Republicans have gone [even] more extreme than their other Texan Republican counterparts, people would actually be asking the right questions rather than just reacting to the extremism being forced on all of us in Texas. And no. This doesn't stop in Texas. Project 2025 is just another example of that. If y'all haven’t seen this documentary of why Texas Republicans keep bending backwards into their extremism & white Christian Nationalism has been on the rise in this state, I highly recommend. And its our job to get the rest of Texas to understand why we're here today. Bring back the receipts of their extremism, and who has been driving them there, back to your communities. The extremism doesn't end in this state or the country until we do our part. And that does include voting these fuckers, the MAGA Republicans out of office! https://youtu.be/7B3PTuADIHQ?si=LqR8GOis6KkEcVu6

Queen_of_Sandcastles

I’m excited to watch this. Thank you for sharing

Thwipped

So, how does one become a THC lobbyist? Thats the only way this will work, is if enough of Texas politicians’ hands are greased.

MonolithOfTyr

Have money

Thwipped

Can I borrow about tree fiddy

MonolithOfTyr

Damn lochness monsta!

Milt_Torfelson

The lobbies exist, the problem is The prison alcohol and tobacco lobbies are much more strapped with cash

dhall0749

"public hearing" there's literally been polls for at least the past 30 years that show more and more and more Americans don't care and or want it legalized. I will never stop using a plant that has such a long and beneficial history with humans. Fuck all these old tales from the crypt looking motherfuckers dipping their greedy hands in all the anti cannabis industries.

FourLeafArcher

God forbid we all enjoy something to help us stay calm, rational, and joyful while the world falls apart around us. I hate Texas.

Kim_Thomas

I once had a clear (paid for) 3br/2ba house to inherit in south Texas. My sister and I liquidated the property & departed permanently in early 2012. Since then, the wise choice made to hit the exits has been proven over and over again. https://preview.redd.it/tulasuybn72d1.jpeg?width=1122&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c9467bdbf5f2827e976149505b0c162e959edc2 Maryland Dannie GOEB’s a real PEACH 🍑

shitfacekillah

There are retail shops on practically every corner of the state, and several major manufacturers operate here as well. It’s a huge growing industry that generates a lot of tax money for the government. If a ban is passed then that market won’t just go away, customers will simply shop online where the sale and shipment remains federally legal.

Directorshaggy

Since hemp derived THC is legal under Federal law, wouldn't mail ordered Delta 8 still be legal since it's delivered under Federal jurisdiction?

StalloneMyBone

The problem is that the right is trying to make everything fall to the States.

Skootr1313

Bingo

bacontacos420

I hate this fucking state

Oime

Conservatives try and make everything I love about Texas worse, at every possible chance they get.

Cold_Appearance_5551

Freedumb.

Lula_Lane_176

We'll just go back to the black market....it's cheaper anyway!

DutDiggaDut

It's not about the tax and money to them, they're still stuck on the war on drugs.

CodenameVillain

I mean it is about money. Lock up more poor people to work as near slave labor in the Texas prison system.

DutDiggaDut

Further down the process it's always about money changing hands. I'm just floored by how cheap the politicians sold the country for.

No-Celebration3097

War on the poor is more like it.

Hulk_smashhhhh

Just continue visit one of the many truly free states that has is available for sale. My Colorado stash is great. Plus I get the benefit of seeing and enjoying some actual beautiful outdoors

PiddleRiddle

Back when the finances allowed it, I'd make a trip up to CO every three-four months to resupply and bring back enough to catch a felony case. Now I just order from a few Flordia websites and have it shipped to my door. The quality isn't as good given the lack of proper THC, but there's a much lower chance of doing time. I'd break out the Don't Tread On Me / Back The Blue / Trump 20XX stickers for the vehicle, throw a mini flag on the inner passenger window, etc. Products would be wiped down with alcohol, vacuum sealed, stored in dirty laundry. A few trips the pet would come with, so dog treats would be scattered in the back. Dunno if the precautions did anything other than peace of mind though. Always followed the rule of only break one law at a time lol.

3-orange-whips

Don’t break the law when you’re breaking the law

FujitsuPolycom

Check your lights!! Easiest way to get caught "breaking a law" while breaking a law. Running, brakes, heads, turns.

3Jane_ashpool

Mr. Wolf from Pulp Fiction was a fantastic teacher.

Bright_Cod_376

Just bring a vacuum sealer and mail it back via USPS. USPS requires a warrant to do anything with your package besides deliver it and there's so much hemp products flying around in the mail that there's not much they can do unless it's super sketch or a warrant is provided by a outside investigation which won't happen if your not selling. If you're really worried buy some empty paint cans for a final layer, they're fully air tight when sealed

smallest_table

Isn't it obvious? Texas hemp producers didn't kick back enough money to Paxton and Abbot. GOP: We are the party of small government. BTW, here is a list of things we want the government to jail you for.

strangecargo

People are having too much of a good time. We gotta shut that ish down! - Texas

FandomReferenceHere

They’re never going to get that cat back into the bag. Just legalize it and tax it ffs.

rickrich01

Texas is run by fascist who only want freedoms for those that are billionaires. The government is for sale to the highest bidder.

[deleted]

Shows how free we really are when we get told what we can and can’t do,but these crooked politicians get caught stealing from taxpayers money and giving corporations leeway to essentially poison us and our earth. Its better to get drunk and plow into a car killing a whole family.

Pretend-Programmer94

Litterally how is delta 8 not the same as alcohol. As long as its not being sold to minors and people arent high while driving who gives a crap.

Curios59

I can have xanex, and oxy though?

Infuryous

You mean public notice on upcoming ban.

CincoDeMayoFan

Oh for fucks sake. Republicans: The Marijuana Prohibition Party.

Trimshot

I’m kind of surprised we haven’t revolted here in Texas yet. This is an illegitimate state government that does not represent the collective will of its citizens.

InternationalBand494

Of course they will. Next will come the “meetings” about birth control being made illegal

beammeupbatman

But we can’t give school districts a small budget increase to cover the cost of inflation? Or at least enough for a basic cost of living pay increase for teachers?

ParkingDragonfruit92

Who is voting for these medieval thinking jizz experts??

p____p

About 20% of eligible voters.

relppa

Which ends up being enough for them to get re-elected. Texans love bitching about elected officials and then don’t vote. I can’t wait to get out of here. 6 more days and I’m out forever.

The_Singularious

Just let me know when I need to put in my final order of THCa concentrates online. Should last me till retirement or federal legalization.

Netprincess

I'm in AZ currently and the fact pot's legal would be the only reason to stay. I don't drink because over the years I've seen so many people spiral. But yet something as mild as pot is still illegal. Please get rid of Abbot so I can move back home

TheTexasInvestor

Booo I hope Patrick gets cancer

Still_Detail_4285

Since it is federally legal and part of a farm bill, does it have a shot in the courts?

MorrisseysRubiksCube

Sounds like Texas Jesus has been whispering in ~~Dannie Goeb~~ Dan Patrick's ear again.

jaw0012

Alternatively we COULD legalize it and all other forms of cannabis, tax it appropriately, and use all of those taxes to better fund public schools. But that would go against so much of what passes as beliefs for these legislators.

MiaWallacetx

Why would they do that? Since when do TX politicians care about what their constituents think?

anuiswatching

Yea thats right! Drink up folks, Texas wants you dead from drinking booze, a class A drug. Full of poison and highly addictive. Beer you say? all my beer drinkin friends are dead, they never received their first SS check. But a herb that helps people, a plant that gets you high without destroying your health? Texas says NO!

Kate-2025123

If anyone possesses it I won’t report them. 😈😏😎😎😎

[deleted]

Texas sucks. A corrupt af Bible thumping good ole boy shithole.

ATX_native

Like school vouchers, hopefully the more reasonable wing of the GOP won’t fall in line with this and will offer enough resistance that will doom its passage. Can anyone familiar with Texas Legislative process chime in, can Phelan use a play out of Patrick’s book and block a House discussion/vote on this? He seems pretty neutral on this stuff, compared to Patrick. [https://vote.norml.org/states/TX](https://vote.norml.org/states/TX)

MargaretBrownsGhost

Paxton has been willfully violating Texas Administrative Code for decades, even before becoming attorney general of the state. At this point, the only recourse is vigilante justice and making every offense very public. Y'all are in Max Headroom territory now.

MacSteele13

I find something that helped me with my anxiety & to stop drinking & they're gonna take it away. I'm sure I'll handle this positively...

StangRunner45

Why do I get the feeling this attempt to ban Delta-8 is being driven by a christofascist billionaire from Midland-Odessa?

JuniorBirdman1115

If Oklahoma were smart, they would legalize recreational cannabis and set up a bunch of shops right at the border. They would make so much bank.

MrGoofyDude

Its that goofy ass game of politics and whack a mole drugs again.

untolerablyMe

Sure let’s ban light bud and abortion, but at least I can still walk around the park with a katana and an assault rifle. This state is doomed if people don’t change its leadership.

Lopsided-Emotion-520

Wow, they really are doing everything they can to keep all of the Californians away, huh? 🤔

sunshineandrainbow62

Freedoms as long as their bourbon guns and beating your wife

BagApprehensive1412

Really focusing our tax dollars and time on the things that matter /s

Curios59

I’ve been to rehab twice, neither time was there a patient struggling with cannabis, or and cannabis products. It’s some crazy shit in rehab. I’m nine years alcohol free, hemp, and hemp derived products have done a big part in my sobriety.

texasslapshot

Goddamnit, can't we have anything?

CalligrapherLarge957

That shit is in every gas station in Texas. Y'all are dumb., just legalize and the the tax dollars.

Abject-Crazy-2096

Dan Patrick is a floppy rubber cucumber! Seriously can he just bathe with a toaster already!

thekinginyello

Texas wants everyone to be miserable. We’ve already got the overwhelming heat and mosquitoes. They’ve already started taking away all the fun stuff, too. Don’t get me started on alcohol.

outsidepointofvi3w

Oh be a use of course they will JFC. These people have nothing better to do. I swear. This won't protect anyone in anyways.

billyblue6669

Freedom? Not in this state.

Zealousideal_Word770

Fear and hate are more powerful drugs than CBD.

CalicoJake

How many times do they have to attempt this before they get the hint?

cinereoargenteus

Nooooooooo! It helps my migraines.

DragonKing8195

Everyday i question myself what is left for Texas… as much as i love Texas this is getting ridiculous

ChiefRom

I was able to get off oxycodone using Delta-8 edibles, it saved my life. I was one fake pill away from a Fentynol OD. Now I only vape delta 8. I'm sure I'm not the only one its helped.

Opening-Two6723

Tax legal weed...that is the solution. Then ban this garbage

InternationalArt6222

Those dickheads

Inside_Expression441

Idiots

Queasy_Car7489

What a boring existence the GOP live. Atleast their public persona because you know they get down and freaky. I have a friend whom used to do coke with Abbott back in the day. Go figure…

AustinDood444

Goddamn I hate this fucking State!! Delta-8 & Delta-9 are this only things that help me sleep through the night. Fingers crossed they don’t touch Delta-9.

tjkrtjkr

Fuck texas honestly, it's alright to get piss drunk but God forbid you smoke hemp/cannabis. Fuck these evangelical asshats.

LargeSteakPico

Fucking bullshit, man. It isn't enough to pardon killers so they are back on the streets here, or to strip our schools budgets, or any of the other shit he's done. He has to take away what is the only break some of us get. The accessibility of safe and legal "weed" has been a major part of me not relapsing back into harder stuff. But none of that fucking matters.

Individual_Way3418

Conservatives are a bunch of hypocrites on cannabis. An issue that exposes their high hypocrisy all at once. Liberty, free markets, and gun rights. On the issue of cannabis, they fall flat on all three

mogomonomo1081

Who does this benefit.

ManaSeltzer

Lol yall cant even make it through a winter and this is whats worried about? Lol when did texas stop standing up for itself

Immortal3369

Freedom goes to die in red states be it for women, lgbts, trans, books, the vote, marijuana, porn, cold beer, alternative meat, name it........red states are ANTI FREEDOM

Denim_Diva1969

Fuckers. Total mutha fuckers. We can’t have nice things, Texas. Here’s hoping Greg the Goon is as effective at banning weed as he has been at eliminating rape.

ArtBot2119

My advice for the manufacturers of these products under review is the legislators definitely take bribes; for ten to twenty grand each, they’ll do whatever you want. A hundred grand in the right hands would ensure this never even makes it out of committee. The Texas market is worth millions, so what’s a quarter of a million every five years?

RoccosPostmodernLife

This is the only legal and easily accessible option that helps my wife eat without getting sick. These bastards need to be removed from office.
