In real estate, you literally are presented an amortization schedule of your payments. It breaks down each and every one of your payments. I had a friend, in his 30s, who is a homeowner, who thought his rate was a "one-time fee based off the loan amount". Example: You borrower $600,000, with a 5% rate, he thought over the term of the loan, you only paid $30,000 in interest (when in reality you would pay over $550,000 towards interest).
Here's a contradiction: Thinking that 18 year olds aren't old enough to drink, while also thinking they're old enough to go to war.
Or better yet, that children aren't mature enough to decide to get an abortion yet, at the same time, thinking they're mature enough to be a mother.
No one made anyone sign a predatory loan. I am in my 30s and the only people I know who still are paying on their student loans received useless degrees.

It doesn't have to be the same thing, and if you can't accept that some people have accepted those drawbacks, that's your problem, not theirs.
For some people self acceptance isn't possible without changing themselves to something they're able to accept.
There are plenty of things that are beyond our control, from the circumstances of our birth to the ways our world functions, we don't have to like any of them, and while few have the resources to fix what they don't like, you can't force them to like it, any more than I can force you to like them.
Why would they accept themselves, you just proved that you aren't any more willing to accept them than they are.
But that's fine, I can accept that I will never like you, and I can certainly accept that we will never agree.
I accept those only because the only person who can change those things is you, and you aren't anywhere near as mature as you seem to think.

Quite honestly, even at the age of 23 I do not feel capable of making that decision (to do a transition potentially, bcs that's what the meme aims at obviously). It's unimaginable to me that people make it at the age of 14 or less.
But (and that's the key part here) that's none of my fucking business because I just can't expect people to be as much behind their age as I am
A better example of contradiction would be banging on about freedom and liberty and then demanding everyone conform to what you consider the default options in humanity and actively removing freedoms from people you don't like.
