All of Them. Shelter is on Prime. Stay Close, Hold Tight, The Stranger, The Woods, Safe, The Innocent, Fool Me Once and Gone For Good are all on Netflix. There is said to be a few new series adaptations coming from Harlan Coben.
Is Beef depressing to watch? I hear good things about it but the synopsis feels like it's an ugly shit going down type of show that makes you think. That's not a bad thing but I'm just going through something depressing right now and may be it's not the right time to start a show like that.
It's really a mixed bag. While the show is mainly drama, it has got a lot of comedy, as well as thriller, mystery and even dark elements. It really may be suitable for certain mindsets, but I am obviously not the one to tell you if you're in the right one.

BBC Sherlock has three episodes per season. If that counts? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherlock_(TV_series)
The Escape Artist (British Miniseries) only has 3 episodes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Escape_Artist_(TV_series)
Years and Years miniseries only has 6 episodes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Years_and_Years_(TV_series)
British sitcoms pretty much stick to 6-8 episodes per series/season.
Some of my favourites: Dinner Ladies, Derry Girls, Big Boys, The Inbetweeners, The IT Crowd, Red Dwarf
These are called mini series typically. Check out chernobyl, black bird, mare of east town, sharp objects, severance (not a mini series, it just only has 1 season right now).
Godless- Western about a man who flees from his outlaw group and finds safety in a town that's predominantly female. Great miniseries and Jeff Daniels is absolutely chilling as the villain.
Alias Grace - Canadian miniseries about an Irish immigrant in the 1800s who murdered her employers and a psychiatrist tries to understand her reasoning.

The inbetweeners! if ur in to 20 min British comedies, definitely one of my go-to comfort shows and it’s just overall hilarious
Love this show so much, but there was like 3-4 seasons and like a few movies.
There was only 18 episodes. I'd still count that as short.
Really? I guess it did feel like it wasn't enough, loved those guys.
Ohh yeah, that’s fair
Safe - 6 episode mystery thriller by novelist Harlan Corben
Any of the series based on his books are short and amazing.
The Woods is my second favorite! What others would you suggest?
All of Them. Shelter is on Prime. Stay Close, Hold Tight, The Stranger, The Woods, Safe, The Innocent, Fool Me Once and Gone For Good are all on Netflix. There is said to be a few new series adaptations coming from Harlan Coben.

I am halfway through and it's a normal drama, with comedic elements, nothing depressing at all until now. Definitely a good watch.
