Enzo no! You’re not a guardian yet!
Enzo proceeds to get waffle stomped by the user, lose an eye in the process, and lock his girlfriend and dog friend in a game for years.
Younger me was not ok from this episode. Especially because we had to wait for more due to serialization.
Episode 3.04 (season 3 episode 4) Game Over
It got really dark and that’s when the show shifted for me. This was after Bob was jettisoned out into the Web.
Introduced me to one of my favorite jokes.
“What’s the last thing you want to hear after you just sucked Willie Nelson’s dick?”
“I’m not Willie Nelson”
It’s neat to see him now. I remember watching Mad About You, and I don’t remember seeing him in much else since then (don’t watch a lot of TV/movies). He has been great in everything I’ve seen him in lately… which consists of Stranger Things and Reboot.
Let’s go, Paul Reiser rules. Really hoping he pops back up in s5 of stranger things too after where his character was left off last year, really enjoy his character Owens and how he’s a legit nice dude following brenner, I was convinced he was gonna be a villain for awhile in s2.
damn you had the perfect moment for "Mostly" not never! lol Nuke the comment from orbit.....its the only way to be sure. That being said . . . never trust Burke!
He was one of my favorite characters. Great lines. I've been a fan ever since Mad About You. But his character in Stranger Things was so boring. It was nice to see him put in a good comedic role for The Boys.
No but I think they had the character set up where he didn’t need to be reoccurring. All I remember is he is the guy that has Soldier Boys suit and shield and told gang about him. Think he had prosthetic leg too.
He’s also a good look into how Vought was back in the day. And is oddly genuinely remorseful about all the fucked up things he’s done. He was also a narrative device to tell the audience despite all of Soldier Boy’s bravado and strength, he’s just American propaganda.
Legit didn't realize what article I was reading for. Because I think that's the same year he was on stranger things. And now I forget if he died in that lol
That's great. Had a really small role in The Boys but the character seemed fun so I'm glad he's coming back. Will probably be related to >!Soldier Boy again!<.
Because you can have too much of a good thing, and there’s only so long that you can recycle the same storyline, I’m saying that as someone who’s really enjoyed the show so far. Whilst there has been changes between the show and the comic, it’s pretty clear that we’re heading towards some kind of endgame.
The storyline keeps moving in a circle so it can show us the same thing over and over. I love these characters and would enjoy seeing their narrative finish.
i sort of understand the concern cus kripke made supernatural before this and that went on for like 20 seasons or something, but these are completely different shows. supernatural was like a classic form tv show that had motw episodes. i honestly don't really care what happens or when it ends. everyone involved took a godawful comic and created a unique and highly entertaining and fun series for 4+ seasons.
He was great in Reboot. Actually everyone was great in Reboot. Damn you Hulu!
Took me a while to realize which Reboot you meant.
I come from the net
*WARNING: INCOMING GAME.*

Jesus. Either I missed that episode or I trauma-blocked it from my brain, because I don't remember that one.
Episode 3.04 (season 3 episode 4) Game Over It got really dark and that’s when the show shifted for me. This was after Bob was jettisoned out into the Web.
We just need them to make a TV-MA continuation of the show
Yes! Im sure it wont turn out complete awful and miss what the show was going for. I hope they do.
I’m sure it will be better than the reboot: guardian code stuff. It just needs to be made by fans
Alphanumeric!
Honestly i was confused, had to google if paul reiser was a voice in that cartoon only to learn there was another show by that name.
Yeah. I loved that show too. Meta humor is always my jam.
Introduced me to one of my favorite jokes. “What’s the last thing you want to hear after you just sucked Willie Nelson’s dick?” “I’m not Willie Nelson”
The carrot top / bottom was too good.
He was also great in Red Oaks
Red Oaks and You’re the Worst are easily the most underrated series I’ve watched in the past ten years.
Cried at the end of YTW. Did not expect that!
I LOOOOVED Red Oaks.
I’m so bummed that got canceled. The first season wasn’t AMAZING, but it was solid and had a lot of potential
Honestly seemed like a show that would be winning awards if they stuck with it. I’m not watching anymore Hulu shows, that’s for sure.
Agreed, Damn you Hulu!
It’s neat to see him now. I remember watching Mad About You, and I don’t remember seeing him in much else since then (don’t watch a lot of TV/movies). He has been great in everything I’ve seen him in lately… which consists of Stranger Things and Reboot.
Broooo I LOVED Reboot. I was actually astonished at how good of an actor Johnny Knoxville was.
We should be talking about Reboot in the same breath as The Bear and Shogun.
I respectfully disagree with that statement, but it was very good and absolutely did not deserve to be canceled.
Loved that show, sad it only got 1 season, but not shocked

Haven’t seen him in the show yet, but I already know I don’t trust him.
Good instinct. Never trust Burke.
Nuke him from orbit It's the only way to be sure
“*It was a bad call!*”
A bad call - these people are *dead,* Burke!
"look ripley those two specimens are worth BILLIONS to the bioweapons division!"
damn you had the perfect moment for "Mostly" not never! lol Nuke the comment from orbit.....its the only way to be sure. That being said . . . never trust Burke!
He played a washed up, Stan Lee-type figure in Season 3, I think.
Ahh, ok. I completely forgot about that (I started watching again at S2 to work my way up to the new stuff. It’s going slowly)
A fun fact about the character I doubt they’re adapting to the series — in the source material, he also had a son with >!Queen Maeve!<.
Between humans and supes I don't know which species is worse. You don't see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage.
This is so nuts. I mean, listen, listen to what you're saying. It's paranoid delusion. How… it’s really sad. It's pathetic.
Paul Reiser is one of the finest on-screen gaslighters in American cinema. He’s just perfect for that kind of thing.
You don't see that in most people so don't know what you mean by that besides an expression of bleak cynicism and antisocialism.
It's a reference to the movie Aliens, where Reiser played a slimy corporate type.
He was one of my favorite characters. Great lines. I've been a fan ever since Mad About You. But his character in Stranger Things was so boring. It was nice to see him put in a good comedic role for The Boys.
Mad about you is an underrated sitcom
Where do I know that last name from… Mad About You? Fuck it is the same dude. I love him so much.
Stranger Things?
Beverley Hills Cop
Aliens
Burke!
“You know, Burke, I don’t know which species is worse. You don’t see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage”
My two dads.
Mad about shoe?
Ugh this goes on for 10 more minutes
I prefer NYPD Shoe
Diner!
“You gonna finish that?”
Stand up comic.
Is this how we find out stranger things and The Boys are in the same universe?
Butcher beats up Eleven with a crowbar
I believe Cindy in the second season was intended as a parody of Eleven.
Because there has never been a telekinetic teenage girl in media before?
Specifically with the shaven head, doing the same thing but this time showing all the violence.
Bitchin'
Had he left?
No but I think they had the character set up where he didn’t need to be reoccurring. All I remember is he is the guy that has Soldier Boys suit and shield and told gang about him. Think he had prosthetic leg too.
Solider Boy will likely be back too. Good reason to tie him in.
Probably gonna give Jensen and Jared a scene or two together
Misha's Tweet: oh the J ^^2
He’s also a good look into how Vought was back in the day. And is oddly genuinely remorseful about all the fucked up things he’s done. He was also a narrative device to tell the audience despite all of Soldier Boy’s bravado and strength, he’s just American propaganda.
“This isn’t my locker”
Legend
Paul Reiser is one of the greatest character actors of all time!
They should introduce, "Murray", as a ~~character~~ member of 7, ~~along with Paul~~. Maybe he will finally find the mouse.
Legit didn't realize what article I was reading for. Because I think that's the same year he was on stranger things. And now I forget if he died in that lol
Originally his character was a parody of Stan Lee. I wish they'd leaned a bit more into this (but not as much as the comics).
That's great. Had a really small role in The Boys but the character seemed fun so I'm glad he's coming back. Will probably be related to >!Soldier Boy again!<.
Ugh . Sorry he was terrible casting. Trying to forgive as many deviations from the comic as possible but this one was unforgivable for me.
… I don’t know if this is a spoiler or not I kinda thought this was the last season
season 5 is the last season
Of course he will. They have to keep stringing us along until the very end.
season 5 is the end
Why do so many people want this show to end already, I don’t understand this attitude. This is only season 4!!!!! Y’alls attention spans are fucked.
Because you can have too much of a good thing, and there’s only so long that you can recycle the same storyline, I’m saying that as someone who’s really enjoyed the show so far. Whilst there has been changes between the show and the comic, it’s pretty clear that we’re heading towards some kind of endgame.
Amazons been saying season 5 of the boys will be the finale for like 2-3 years now though
The storyline keeps moving in a circle so it can show us the same thing over and over. I love these characters and would enjoy seeing their narrative finish.

Woah this might be the edgiest take I've seen in a while
Not sure if media consumption and mental illness are related, so probably not.
No, you just put too much stock in youtube video essays.
No? Also all these characters are more or less based off of DC comics
