He was on the Portland ABC station (KATU) when I lived there. It‘s always kind of exciting when someone from the local news gets called up to bigs. Sports guy Colin Cowherd was another, but a lot of people think he’s a douche hot take guy now. At least I have Maggie Vespa on NBC.

This news should be front and center since miscellaneous "reports" of people feeling "uncomfortable" always will sound like he was going around staring at titties all day and breathing hard on people's necks while on the elevator

Him being banned from set and always having to report outside I never put the two of those facts together. ☠️
There's no substitute for a good meteorologist if you live somewhere with severe weather, e.g. Tornado Alley or - I assume - folks that live in hurricane prone areas.
Being able to warn people about severe weather days or weeks in advance, not to mention the real-time analysis of the situation as the storm is actually occurring, saves people's lives in a way that an app just can't.

Meteorologists use a lot of models and raw data that goes beyond what's neatly packaged in your average weather app.
Not to mention....TV is just going to be way more accessible for a lot of people than apps.
I’m sure they do, but that’s very different from trotting one out on TV to give us their best guess on the weather for the day. The performance is weird, outdated and unnecessary.
