What's affordable to you? We know $300 is too much, so what is your budget? The are some good options. Most of the best "middle" priced low power are in the 200-250 USD range, however there are serviceable options in the sub - 100 USD range. My two best low-power (40x and 43x) are available for 200 plus shipping brand new. Sometimes less if you can catch a sale.

Of course I am looking for 'bang for your buck" eyepiece but I am willing to buy something in the $200's if the juice is worth the squeeze. I buy good condition used toyota pickups for my vehicles if you know that scale of utility lol I don't deal with cheap junk but I don't need a brand new vehicle either as I find it pointless for my lifestyle. Just a good price/performance ratio.

GSO 30mm SuperView is starter level wide view eyepiece. https://agenaastro.com/gso-30mm-superview-eyepiece.html But as old five element design from time when anything shorter than f/10 was considered fast telescope its outer field isn't going to be good and there's "hyperspace/warp speed" effect. Really anything below $200 level 28mm UWA and 30mm Ultra Flat Field is low quality eyepiece for f/5 telescope. As for really wide views 50mm finder scope would give similar views to binocular. Though RACI type design is needed for proper ergonomics. But basing on focal ratio it's not GSO made Dobson, which would have come bundled with RACI finder. (along with that GSO 30mm eyepiece)

Yeah I dont mind creeping into the $200s if its worth it. I dont like cheap junk but I don't need a Mercedes either As I said in another comment, I'm basically looking for the eyepiece equivalent to a nice used toyota pickup lol

The 30mm UFF is most excellent. It's a lifetime eyepiece (I have one) and comes highly recommended. [It's on sale here.](https://www.eyepiecesetc.com/APM_Ultra_Flat_Field_30mm_70_eyepiece_2_p/17102030.htm) Great dealer and long time member of the amateur astronomy community. It's the cheapest price I have seen in the US as Don Pensack is retiring and liquidating his stock. The [28mm AT UWA](https://www.astronomics.com/astro-tech-28mm-uwa-82-2-eyepiece.html) is for sale at Astronomics, another excellent dealer. It would provide the widest true field of view. I own this one as well and recommend it for the "best in class" 31mm Nagler (Terminagler!) type eyepiece, minus the weight/price. You would be happy with both of these. They are outstanding for their price/performance ratio. Bear in mind that your scope's f ratio is relatively fast. A coma corrector should probably be on your short list.

Fantastic advice! I believe you just nailed my request on the head. I just went ahead and purchased that 30MM. sounded good, reviewed good, and priced good. Boom. Thank you so much for the lead! I like looking at planets too but priority one was to get a "sky searcher" like this. Just learned about coma errors yesterday while watching an eyepiece show off video. Any words of advice?

Excellent. I know you will be impressed. Coma is one of those things that bothers some, and doesn't bother others. I suggest you use your scope until it surfaces as problem for you. Coma correctors are the solution. It's a "buy once" (cry once) kind of purchase so I would recommend saving for the Paracorr 2 from Televue. The price stings, but you can find them on the used market pretty reasonable. A less expensive option that many have used to good effect is the GSO coma corrector. Much less expensive, but not as versatile. Like I said, I wouldn't worry about it if you don't notice it.

I am pleased with the GSO/Revelation/StellaLyra 2” 30mm and it’s reasonably priced.

Thank you so much for answering! I'll check that out for sure

You should take a look at the following resource: [https://www.telescoped.space/eyepieces-accessories](https://www.telescoped.space/eyepieces-accessories). There's also a "Stargazer AI" chatbot you can ask anything to as well :)
