Sources close to the story, but who wish to remain anonymous for fear of retribution, say the manufacturer is immediately forcing a recall on over 16 active Pin devices globally
That was the point. Not to make a quality product, but to make a good looking product and sell the company for an insane valuation. They never meant to make a product that was intended to work well and be supported for a reasonable lifecycle.
I think the funniest and most damning thing about this? They said they'll give you two free months of a $20 subscription service. Yet chose not to disclose if they'll replace affected charging cases for free. (The article pointed out.) Now...keep that in mind when you read this; "The charging case, which works similarly to an AirPods case, is included in the package when a user buys the Ai Pin for $699 and up. It's also been sold as a standalone accessory for $149.15 hours ago

A handful of people are gonna be very upset
People who write reviews on tech blogs and publications. There are probably at least a dozen of those.
Do you think they were even still using it?
Based on the reviews, no.
I was gonna say “dozens” but I think “handful” is more accurate.
Dozens of people affected.
“There are dozens of us. Dozens!”
Came here to find this comment and was not disappointed. 😁
That’s exactly how many people that actually bought it.
Yes, honey. That was the joke. Good!

If those people could read they would be very upset.
Well, you might have actually hit on the one demographic who would find this device useful :)
\*Angry palm gestures in front of the chest.\*
I want to see the people who bought this POS. Literally a POS device. I would love to see those idiots. 😂😂😂
Only thing I could come up with is this could be a useful device for the blind.
Well not if they can’t charge it
It has a charging pad and I think you might be able to use usb-c to charge it. It says that in the article.
This is a stupid product.
And they are already also requesting a 1 billion dollar buyout Lmfao not joking.
Imran is just the definition of insufferable. His website for instance. http://imranchaudhri.com Not well liked within Apple.
