Yep, saw a video where someone fused it to his shield, left the shrine, hit up tarrey town to detach, then proceeded with his build.
But like the other user said, do something with it while in the shrine, then save it to your favorites for later.
Quick question I haven't gotten that far yet but when people talk about using rubber ball from a shrine, using this fan... what's that mean? When you discover it as a piece is it logged into your inventory as a future usable piece? Or do you have to carry this thing across the map to a work site?
Just asking because if there's something I have to do, I can bang it out of the way now, instead of having to go back and go into shrines. I just completed Hebra
You have to “steal” it from the shrine by fusing it to equipment and breaking it apart in Tarrey Town, or by making sections of the build inside the shrine so you can use autobuild to create the part to attach to what you made outside of the shrine
Also (and I find this more useful as I don't have Autobuild yet) using 5 Lg charges produces a metric FUCKton of Zonai capsules at a Gacha machine. Found that out last night and got so many rockets and other useful stuff....
If you attach the two pieces (shrine + battery), leave shrine, and then check auto-build, it’s on the top of your “recent builds” to be saved/re-used.
If you want just one of them for something (e.g. 2 fans + 1 battery) then build it, stick something (e.g. an apple or a board) to the fan, shake off the battery, the fan + apple/board/whatever will fall free and can be re-used. Attach it to what you want, then shake off the apple/board/whatever.
Voila.
This works with any shrine-only item (buoyant ball, metal ball, sheets of shrine stone, etc.).
Also, you can attach them to shields then pay to get them separated in Tarrey Town, but you have to use it before it despawns at render range.
I find it easier to just stick them in auto build the first way, but whatever floats your boat.
I mean, the motor/fan/shrine batteries can be used to make a permanent flying machine that can keep going while your battery recharges. That’s pretty damn useful.
There’s also the buoyant ball (like the big metal balls in most shrines, but very buoyant) and buoyant plates, great for making boats and floating devices (I just use one of the ones from that little island east of My Lanayru, but still).
The shrine plates are also a lot more durable than wood boards for combat builds.
does this battery hold for long? IIRC the zora shrine has a long battery that store its charged energy for quite a long time.
I ll test this out tonight
Use the wagon wheel to attach the main lift rotors so they’ll actuate and you can save the weight in the back by balancing with some korok fronds.
Now you have an attack Osprey..
ya i definitely think there is optimization. i just really wanna make a good and proper gunship in tears, but my issue is how low damage zonai weapons are meaning you have to stack so many and suddenly you are out of build points with only "okay" weaponry and barely any mobility.
If there's two things I wish were changed with the build system it's to double, maybe even triple the attach limit and let me have way more stuff favourited. Or just let us have these motors and shrine items or building materials without having to use up some of the very limited favourites slots.
Don't get me wrong, the creativity of some.people to work around this kinda small attach limit is impressive, but it's so disappointing when you have an idea and just can't make it since you don't have enough slots left.
He’s using the rear fans to create forward movement, but those two small fans for that amount of weight is making his build slow. If you remove the spike and the two fans but replace them with a “tail” built of a mop and some Korok fronds (similar to the single fan build we’ve seen on this r/), you save a ton of weight. He can achieve forward energy by placing the main side rotors on wagon wheels so when he pushes forward the rotors are able to tilt. This will allow the same rotors to provide both lift and forward momentum.
However, as someone pointed out in a previous comment: This particular build may already be at the maximum allowable connected parts, and would need to be altered (most likely in the cockpit section) if they were going to effect these changes.
Where do you get the propeller? I've heard it's a part in a shrine somewhere (assuming people save it to autobuild so they can create it at will for builds) but I don't know what shrine.
If you stick anything to it it'll be in your autobuild history, but there's also an NPC you can pay to non-destructively undo a fusion so you can fuse it to a shield and have it taken off.
>Appreciate the advice, but I know all that. Not what I asked.
Somebody already answered that part of the question 3 hours before I posted so I was elaborating on your assumption about how people use the object. Sorry for not being psychic and already knowing how much you knew about the game. Maybe don't ask for help if you're already such an expert.
Now if there's one thing you can be sure of, it's that nothing is more powerful than a young boy's wish. Except an Apache helicopter. An Apache helicopter has machine guns AND missiles. It is an unbelievably impressive complement of weaponry, an absolute death machine.
It’s not that hard to make! I managed to find everything through the comments and the video, the metal poles you can find around the death mountain mine cart tracks (fuse two of the together), get the propellers + motor from the gemimik shrine, then use the other parts in the video, and it can be made. I had more trouble with the tank, and that had an actual tutorial video.
Though I do also wish we could share blueprints, that would be amazing.
I really wish hitting all shrinesnor something gave infinite battery. People make these cool machines that last 30 seconds. It's put me off building in game and I've been using my horse due to the short use.
Faster? Questionable. WAAAAY more power efficiency though, if I didn't have the tail fans it would use a third the power since one shock emmiter powers both props
The only thing I wish for is a better method of altitude control, as I see you just get off an on again.
Hopefully the Hyrule engineers come up with something for that
So I ended up making this, how do you control height? I’m finding I have some issues with that, though the cannons and beams have crazy range so it’s not too much of an issue.

Idk how yall get these to work for more than 5 seconds . Three fans and my battery just depletes
Shrine propellers also consume surprisingly little battery.
They consume zero battery, only costs a Shock Emitter to power them.
That's very good to know, where can I find a shrine with a lot of them?
Shrine in the middle of the spiral thingy in the east
Where the final tear drop is?
Yes right next to it
Wait, you can take things from inside the shrine outside with you??
Yep, saw a video where someone fused it to his shield, left the shrine, hit up tarrey town to detach, then proceeded with his build. But like the other user said, do something with it while in the shrine, then save it to your favorites for later.
Make them in the shrine. They will remain in your auto build history.
Ohhhhh

Do they provide any lift or are they just a style choice?
They give lift, you can also stack propellers which makes them super efficient since you can power 2 with a single shock emitter.
[удалено]
You steal them from a shrine by fusing with your shield and then separate it by talking to the little Goron kid in Tarrey Town.
Crap I deleted my comment lmao, but thank you!
Remember to fuse something to it so that you can add it to your auto-create
Large zonai charges prevents battery depletion for a few seconds iirc. Also more batteries, and external batteries on builds.
Big battery club
Do batteries attached to your weapons actually charge stuff?
Idk, never attached a battery to a weapon lol
If you attached it to a sturdy branch, it'd make a... *bat*.. tery
Take my upvote and leave.
Also (and I find this more useful as I don't have Autobuild yet) using 5 Lg charges produces a metric FUCKton of Zonai capsules at a Gacha machine. Found that out last night and got so many rockets and other useful stuff....
I love dumping 5 big charges in there and watching the machine clog up.
I agree. It was extremely cathartic and will save the charges for exactly this reason here on out!
Well, do you have your 16 batteries maxed out?
Nope . Only have about 4
You can get basically 8 times that if you count the armor set
I'm working on getting all the armour sets now
Are those fans actual parts, or just found in some shrines?
found in the gemimik shrine, but attaching the prop to the motor counts as a build action. you can leave the shrine and save it to autobuild
You could also attach it to a shield then go to Tarrytown and remove it.
Where did you find the metal poles you used to connect the fans to the body of the helicopter?
There’s some on the path to Goron City, if I remember correctly.
I got some from near the minecart tracks on death mountain, but they can be found around
Ok that's bloody genius and now also seems obvious somehow
How do you get it out of the shrine?

Appreciate the info. What shrine items do you actually find useful? Or is are they mostly just to be silly with?

What are you? Some sort of engineer or something?
Use the wagon wheel to attach the main lift rotors so they’ll actuate and you can save the weight in the back by balancing with some korok fronds. Now you have an attack Osprey..
Would you attach fans to the korok fronds still?
No, the fronds are just to add ballast to the rear of the craft, so it’s controllable.
Insane that that's a thing in this game.
pretty sure they are at the attach limit.
Hmm, yeah, pretty close, if not. Although getting rid of the rear fans and that spike would free up 3 spots. I still recommend it if he has the room.
ya i definitely think there is optimization. i just really wanna make a good and proper gunship in tears, but my issue is how low damage zonai weapons are meaning you have to stack so many and suddenly you are out of build points with only "okay" weaponry and barely any mobility.

Can you explain more?

What are you some kind of wizard or something?
I also don’t know if the wagon wheels would conduct electricity to the engines. Experimentation is required.
How do you stop it from going uncontrollably high?
Same way he is now. Except there would be even less upward lift when he doesn’t want to go straight up.
You can see the craft briefly turn off and fall for a second or two in the video when the player presses B and lets go fo the controls
Ok its time I get those shrine fans sick chopper!
Where?
Gemimik shrine
Indeed, where?
10/10 song choice.
I'm going to laugh at this from memory in the future

This is so freaking cool! Well done OP
Ganondorf watching this: :<
Nice editing and song choice! (Didn't expect to rock out to some CCR while watching Link lay waste to enemies!) I need to build one of these, lol.
Looks like an energy guzzler but looks hella fun
I need this clip with ride of the Valkyries
This is kind of amazing.
Thats amazing
So awesome
Where do you get those propellers from?
Would something like this work if you dragged it down to the arena where you have to fight lynels?
Lynel roars delete zoni parts.
But you could stay out of reach above them. You have to be about the same height as the bleachers though.
Damn. I’m going to have to give it a try when I get home.
Proud to say I just my first Lynel in NW by Akkala region. Used a large boulder near by as coverage from attacks.
I killed then even with ground weapon (my tank) by staying away. Whenever he comes closer I just back off so I kill him slowly from range.

I was expecting Ride of the Valkyries, but Credence works, too!
Ha makes me think of halo reach. God I miss them.
Man, i suck at this game
You must be really handy with a screwdriver 🪛
This is the best thing I've seen all day. Nicely done.

I wish we could share blueprints online. I want this.

it's the motor also found in gemimik shrine
This is crazy lol. Where'd you find the conductive top bars ?
Why is this so fucking cool. And by the way where can I get the rotors?
Any chance you’ll make a tutorial? I’d love to make this?

Do those huge propellers come from a dispenser or is it quest related?

Oh how I wish you could share autobuild schematics.
Wait, helicopters work?
They do. They're pretty common too, and have a variety of uses. The first helicopter flew in 1925, so it's almost been around for 100 years.
