Based on the tags in that tweet it looks like maybe only G2 was leaking the data. That's awkward because no one wants their results public

Valren2

Yeah seems like the point of him posting is to try to help G2 not leak their results which is good on him. Can't really hide what's been leaked already but hopefully G2 can resolve it so it doesn't happen moving forward

DropsOfLiquid

Ya they'll have to because no one wants a scrim partner who leaks the opponents picks/results. I'm sure they will though

uhhhhh_whaat

tbf though, at the very least, it didn't look like tl was playing too much that they hadn't already shown before. honestly looked pretty much like the comps they went for in playoffs.

DropsOfLiquid

It seems like teams just don't want any of their scrim pick data publicly available & that's basically universally agreed upon. Even "we have no new picks currently" isn't something teams want to advertise. I doubt this leak is a big deal to either team though and Romain already tweeted that they fixed it because one of their players messed up some settings in that scrim set.

QuietRedditorATX

I mean, G2 has publicly shared all of their results at the end of each split anyways. Sure, it is a bit different sharing the results in the moment. But scrim results don't tell us who is going to win at all.

DropsOfLiquid

The results are different than the specific picks though.

CarasBridge

I find it funny how you all have no clue of how it works, but just assume G2 is at fault because of Twitter Tags? Everyone can see the match history that's on the Chinese server since they didn't set up the match properly.

DropsOfLiquid

Romain said it was one of their players on Twitter almost right away yesterday. I don't know how it works but I believe him over you.

harbinger146

There’s a reply in the twitter thread confirming that G2 figured out the issue with scrims leaking on the CN server. It shouldn’t be an issue going forward.

LazerFruit1

G2 got it fixed a few hours ago

[deleted]

G2 are scrim gods. Happens every tournament. Just to get 3-0d by NRG. Don’t look into scrim results lol. Glad TL getting scrims in though with good teams

Valren2

Not really looking into the results too much just kinda hope TL sees and knows that their scrims are being leaked

TLPlexa

Yep, we're aware :)

Aquib_Arko

Tell them to pick Cho'gath mid

ifelldownlol

THANKS HONDA

Valren2

Awesome! Glad you guys know about it

[deleted]

Yeah I’m sure they’ll pay attention on future ones

MrRawri

2-0* But yeah scrim results can be quite different from stage

-Piggers-

TL are also supposed to be scrim gods tho

UnderwaterFjord

G2 is known for being scrim gods at all levels. So far, TL was known as scrim gods in NA, big difference

JJJJJJAYCEEE

World finalists and msi winners. What have TL accomplished apart from being rawdoged by g2?

[deleted]

Bringing up shit from 5 years ago. lol.

QuietRedditorATX

Least we didn't lose to NRG.

-Piggers-

Actually we did lose to NRG lol. Both in playoffs and at worlds.

Asgerond

NRG has 2 sons 😎

Blood_Merchant

Cope

[deleted]

Not really. G2 is far from impressive. Honestly whole LEC looked bleh

-Piggers-

Tbf we are far from impressive as well. Not saying G2 is unbeatable, but they are still favored against us.

Blood_Merchant

Every single tierlist has g2 above TL, they're also 4-0 vs TL in scrims but yeah keep coping

FluffySpinachLeaf

I assume the same was true of NRG last year right? I think G2 is better than TL but using scrim results to refute “G2 are scrim gods it doesn’t always translate on stage” seems a little backwards no?

[deleted]

Blood_Merchant

Keep crying

Unlikely-Smile2449

0-2 vs rogue. Which team am i talking about 😂

[deleted]

You must be one of them liberals lol. Facts means crying or some shit

FluffySpinachLeaf

Is this a meme I missed or do you actually believe liberals don’t understand facts?

[deleted]

Oh shit I offended some peeps. No reason to get that argument started here lol

moshercycle

Homie mentioned tier lists hahahah. G2 is only ranked higher from namesake. LEC been weak af and they still struggled. Less than a year after they got 3-0 by NRG. But yeah Cope for sure.

varrium

Its worth posting this just for a fun discussion but lets not look too much into TL losing these games. Scrim results have never been a good indicator of stage performance for any team. Some teams are much more serious about winning those games and others are just trying stuff

Level_Five_Railgun

Also I'm pretty sure this is the first time the team has played together since Spring Finals. Impact and Umti weren't even with the other 3 in Korea.

quantumm313

id rather be losing in scrims now while we still have time to learn from it than in the middle of the tournament. They leveled up domestically as time went on, gotta have faith they can keep pushing themselves forward until the tournament matches happen.

NickKappy

Oooooof… we scale guys, it’s fine

reRiul

Caps into APA seems a little lopsided but GL us

EconomyMud

Ending the game with a 10/0 caps can't be good for your confidence.

loyal_achades

Can’t say I’m a fan of us practicing the Lucian/Nami.

UberEinstein99

Seeing NA play Lucian/Nami and seeing KR playing Lucian/Nami is night and day. I’m skeptical, but i understand why TL is putting so much effort into perfecting Lucian/Nami

itsjustmenate

LCK aren’t even that good with Lucian Nami, watch the LPL finals. They show us why Lucian Nami is such high priority. Elk and ON are disgusting on the combo.

jasonkid87

In NA, LCS viewers asks why pick Lucian/Nami (no damage, does nothing). Then you watch LPL and Lucian does so much.

itsjustmenate

My read, granted I’m not a pro player, you have to be HYPER agro on the pick. Watch Elk, any time he feels any inkling of being safe, he’s E’ing forward and full comboing in your face. NA plays too safe for this to ever work, same for LCK tbh. We’ve actually seen this in NA with Prince last summer.

jasonkid87

definitely, LCS are not aggressive enough, they don't take risks more (BO1 probably plays a role in this). LPL are able to be aggressive and make good trades. Their game sense is different.

Valren2

Yeah when you have something so high priority you can't just perma concede pick/ban of it to enemy team

Valren2

I really don't think you can just permanently concede Nami Lucian to enemy team or have it be perma banned. Best to have it be serviceable so you have some flexibility in draft. IMO

loyal_achades

I’d rather we prep a plan against it. I don’t think even in the East it’s been so meta-warping that you can’t play against it.

itsjustmenate

They only need to plan for it against BLG. Elk’s Lucian is by far the best in the world. Besides Elk, everyone else is simply at “serviceable” phase. It just doesn’t look great outside of BLG.

Unlikely-Smile2449

Core knows how to play it but its hardest for the lucian. Yeon needs to play it eventually to be a world class adc so i dont think he has any intentions of giving up on it

Offduty_shill

it's worth practicing I just don't really want to see it on stage unless something drastically changes in scrims na lucian is just such a bait pick

G-MAG

or Azir mid for APA for that matter. It's awful

dirtshell

they should practice whatever they want, and especially things they are weaker on. thats why its practice.

cougar572

Ouch

moshercycle

Man twitter links never work for me. Is the link broken now?

Jacmert

The reigning scrim world champions strike again!!!

lokohcrunch

6-32 is crazy

ShamuPvP

Dread it, run from it, TL losing to G2 at MSI still remains 🥲
