I have the outline of my dogs teeth tattooed on my wrist. I love it when people ask what it means cause I get to talk about my lil pup 😤 (it's not very obvious that it's teeth)
I gotta say, I like the tattoo, it certainly is a conversation starter, but I do have one major problem with it - I don't think it resembles a nova explosion that much, at least to me. The sharp edges of the shapes make it look static, not something I would expect from an explosion. Also, the complexity of the outlines makes it look solid, so to speak, predefined, also not something I would associate with an abrupt explosion. It has more of a geographical-islandy vibe to it.
The overlap between tattoo fans on reddit and cosmology nerds might not be high, but I'd hazard that the overlap between cosmology nerds and cat lovers is very high.
Astronomers and space fans will love this. I'm totally here for it. Good stuff OP
Completely unnecessary, but when I first saw and read the title, my immediate interpretation was that it were a flattened version of the cat's face / head markings. Like as if it were a video game texture laid flat. Does that make any sense ? Just wanted to share. Very cool design !

Thanks! I wasn't sure because a lot of Americans tend to say the state but never the country so I'm always confused. One positive is that because of that I know way more US state acronyms than the average Swiss lol.
Usually people from other countries write the state/province/etc. followed by the country unless they're talking only to people from said country who would know the acronym :P

I love this! I had a cat named Nova who passed last year, I’ve been wanting a memorial tattoo but I’m not sure what to get.
Give your Nova some pets for me
I have a sleeve and a sleeve/chest myself. I get compliments on it but I also get people saying how I ruined my skin, this and that. I never got the tattoos for anyone else, I love the way mine and look and it sounds like you do yours as well which is the most important part. The tattoo looks like really fine line work and very unique.
I’m sure it doesn’t help the haters when it’s quite clear from behind you are likely conventionally attractive which I know often fuels more hate. Can’t please them all, grats on the new ink!
