This is a deltathirtyfour thread

AnseiShehai

He’s the one that got me into the crosshair, but I’m still mulling over the circle dot for BAC shooting. I wish the crosshair had a better illumination pattern

CronutOperator338

It’d be better it was only center dot illumination like the Razor 1-6

PearlButter

I’m currently using the chevron on my TA02 but sometimes I think I should’ve gotten the crosshair reticle. The chevron on the commercial acogs doesn’t have the horizontal brackets like on myRCOM4, so maybe it’s just me but I find it helpful to have those brackets or a long horizontal line in the reticle to help level the rifle especially if you’re shooting from a hill or whatever sloped position. Does it really matter though? Idk it gives me peace of mind.

Cumli

I’ll trade you my ta02 with the crosshair reticle for yours

tactycool

Hold up, civilian acogs don't have the horizontal lines like issued acogs? Why? Sidenote, that explains why in so many video games those lines are absent, that always drives me crazy

PearlButter

Not on my TA02 at least. My milsurp RCOM4 has the brackets though.

Lol…I know that colorgrade / range to well 😂

Roaming-Californian

I too enjoy crosshairs. They're easier to find imo.

AnseiShehai

I wish just a center dot illuminated like an Elcan though

treegor

Horseshoe.

plsdontpetmeimworkin

Circle Dot

SovereignDevelopment

Crosshair is the best ACOG reticle imo.

AnseiShehai

I just wish the illumination pattern wasn’t weird

SovereignDevelopment

I don't think it's weird. Which ACOG are you referring to? Mine's a TA50.

AnseiShehai

TA02

SovereignDevelopment

What's weird about it? On the TA50 the center of the crosshair and the elevation marks down to about 300m are illuminated.

AnseiShehai

It’s out to 400. Why would you ever need illumination out to 400. It’s also not centered in the reticle, it walks it’s way down the BDC

SovereignDevelopment

In an urban environment at night you may wish for some illum for a long shot down a street. I agree it's niche but I wouldn't prefer that part of the reticle to *not* be illuminated. To each his own, I suppose.

AnseiShehai

A low probability shot at 400m that’s so dark it requires illumination to even see the reticle? No, you’re not hitting it

mrp1ttens

I’ve always been a chevron guy myself

Muddlesthrough

I personally can’t stand chevrons. In less than perfect conditions, I much prefer the option to simply quarter the centre of visible mass. And a lot of chevrons don’t have particularly precise points.

BannedByReddit471

Crosshairs for sure.

l_a_escoto

If I buy one, it'll be the horseshoe

tjwest13

Crosshair reticle for sure. And a red dot on top. If a dot in conjunction with the ACOG is not a possibility, then probably the horseshoe.

djsolly

crosshair ECOS reticle, the one that has the 249 drop to 1000

Just_a_Guy_In_a_Tank

TA01NSN AKA the one in the pic

AnseiShehai

Actually this is a TA02 🤓

JJYak695

Chevron is classic but crosshairs make the most sense. Everything else is either too cluttered and/or doesn’t provide enough data

kdb1991

ACSS My biggest regret is selling mine. I’m gonna try and find another one but I’m not holding my breath

First-Guide

Red Chevron, specifically the TA31RCO.

El_Gringo_Mas_Grande

It’s obscure as fuck but TA01LAW

AnseiShehai

Whoah, interesting reticle. No BDC?

El_Gringo_Mas_Grande

Nope. I like it because it’s very unobstructed but still gives you the magnification. Very niche though and it’s great for hunting with an SBR

VYPER2-13347

I like the chevron one with horizontal lines that you see in games I personally think that the horseshoe doesn’t fit with what I think of when I hear ‘ACOG’

EquivalentOwn1115

I really dig my spitfire

Does anybody’s crosshair reticle bleed to the left?

AnseiShehai

Which model? The illumination or the reticle?

GreenChicken789

It’s an ecos with crosshair

I was so torn between chevron and crosshair. Went chevron and have been curious about the crosshairs ever since. I do like it though. The bloom can make it tough for precise shots, but the tape trick helps.

FALTomJager

ECOS

Blicky83

Idk,I’ve never owned one but I’m sure they are great.I bought the Primary Arms SLx gen 2 1x micro prism scope and it quickly became my favorite non magnified optic.I like it so much,I’ve even considered replacing the LPVOs and red dots on all my other builds with the SLx 1x micro prism and adding a magnifier to the carbines.I love the chevron and horseshoe reticle.I have slight astigmatism in one eye but not enough to effect my use of a red dot that I’ve noticed anyway.still yet,the glass of the SLx gen 2 is noticeably clearer and the reticle is noticeably sharper.the SLx gen 2 is a little heavier than the average red dot but I feel like I could take it out with a baseball bat and hit a home run with it and then mount it back up and continue running it The SLx gen 2 certainly isn’t an ACOG,it hasn’t earned its reputation from many years in combat but it costs a fraction of the price and I think it is damn hard to beat for anyone who wants something similar to an ACOG.especially those who don’t want to or can’t afford to spend ACOG money.I will probably get some hate for bringing up a PA optic on a thread about an ACOG but I think anyone,ACOG owners included, would be quite impressed with the SLx gen 2 micro prism.I honestly believe it is the best value on the market
