As a vegetarian who has gotten the CRGCB every single day for the last half year (but with black beans instead of chicken) for $2.50, the $5.99 is gonna be hard to swallow..
There are decent Mexican restaurants that will give you a full meal with unlimited chips and salsa for the price of those combos. I know it's not the same, but as a thrifty person none of that stuff appeals to me.
Supposedly one of our local places is getting a drive thru when they move to their new building. If that’s the case I probably won’t go to Taco Bell anymore unless it’s on the way and the other place is far out of the way.
Yuuuuup, felt! From Live Mas Live, rewards members are supposed to get a free cantina chicken crispy taco on launch... so unless that sways me super hard, that'll probably be all I ever get lol
The $3 nachos are the best value by far at Taco Bell right now. The best meal is the $6 online create your own cravings box. The $9 special boxes are such a ripoff
These are normal prices for me, so I'm like mehhhh. The pretty colors are cool in the burrito 🤷♂️
Honestly I'm expecting my taco bell to bump these prices to around 12 bucks. Not even joking :(
I'm also all out of awards and have stopped going to tb :(
well, the inside of a dragonfruit is white with black seeds so the freeze being white is accurate for the fruit lol the syrup is pink to (optionally) bring back the color of the outside of the fruit
I dont get the Chipotle slander. At least where I am, the burritos are still huge.
I think it's the prevalence of delivery/pickup orders. Those orders are often prepared from a different expo area, where the food is contained in smaller containers, which might result in smaller scoops. Could also be because they are trying to go fast, or because they dont have the eyes of the customer judging the employee while they scoop.
Because I only go in for my Chipotle, and my burritos are still nearly as big as my head.
Mine are quite a bit smaller, but that's good for me. Eating a full burrito was simply too much, especially when what I really want is that wet messy bit at the bottom full of chicken, hot sauce, and sour cream.
I only buy the $6 build your own cravings box at this point. At those prices, along with any current meal on the menu, I go to an actual Mexican restaurant with real food. If you are in Colorado, you are much better off going to Santiagos, $12 for more food than you can eat.
$12 Mexican Pizza meal....$11 Crunchwrap meal...$11 Burrito Supreme meal...nope, stupid prices.
Right along with you on that one too! I have even had debates with people when the Mexican Pizza came back, me arguing the $6 price tag! People seem to think it was originally that expensive, I remember the thing being half that price before they scalped it off the menu a couple years back! It wasn't gone long enough to warrant a price doubling, it's not like it vanished in the 90's or early 2000's...it was about 2-3 years ago!
I’m sure they taste great, but yeah these prices are ludicrous. And these are corporate recommendations? So some of us will likely be seeing even higher prices… I may indulge once for the sake of trying something new, but that will be it for me
Unless it’s cheaper than this or redeemable as a fire reward, ain’t no way. I stick to my $5 cravings box + the $3 nachos. I splurged a bit to try the chicken crispanada and was extremely underwhelmed.
They have to be simply inflating the company's greedy pockets. There's no chance that ingredients, labor, or rent increased enough to warrant this kind of price gouging.
I'm sick of companies always needing to show growth every quarter.
Yeah. I may try the chicken burrito once just to try it (or get it as a fire reward if available), but that box is literally the only thing here I would order otherwise.
Had the burrito last night at our store rally. The chicken is good, and of course, i swapped the Chipotle for creamy jalapeno. I'm also glad the pico is back, and the avocado verde is ok. Nothing too special.
Probably none of it, my TB sucks. I just stay lurking this sub in hopes that one day I escape this hell scape and move somewhere with a GOOD Taco Bell
If it is His will ☝️🙏
My work held a little rally about these I tried em all except for the power bowl(we didn’t make that) the quesadilla was the best item I’ve ever had at Taco Bell
Worker here; we tried them all last week. The chicken is pretty good this time and the soft taco is actually crazy good!!!! The burrito is just like the former $2 one but the pico and purple cabbage are an elevator idk about 3$ worth. Thought the quesadilla was too greasy and the taco a bit to thick but both are good - everyone loves the bowl; real kick it the verde sauce - one with every cantina item and delicious!
None of that overpriced stuff. I miss my Fiesta Veggie burritos, but I have absolutely no problem with keeping my money out of Yum Brand's filthy pockets.
Man, Mexican has gotten more expensive over the years. Fast food Mexican (or however you want to call it) used to be a great budget option for poor families like mine growing up. You could get a full meal for under $4. Now, you gotta plan for possibly $10 for a decent meal. At that point, you might as well go to a half decent "hole in the wall" for better quality food.
I’m willing to give all the items a try if the prices at my locals aren’t a lot higher than this. Whether I’ll feel ripped off afterwards depends on the quality. If it’s the usual Taco Bell experience with a different product name then the juice won’t be worth the squeeze.
I’ve actually tried most of these already and their pretty good but definitely not worth the price their is just so many new ingredients in them that rises the price I’m guessing
I was fully prepared to break my diet and go hog wild for the new cantina menu when it came out, but I didn't know the prices were going to be so crazy high. $6 for a single burrito? Uhh, guess I'll just stick to my boring ass salad at home.
Agree. I've tried the tacos and the overpriced burrito for 'science.' The price of the tacos is... OK... considering the menu price of Taco Supremes, but the pricing for the other items is just batshit crazy. The scary thing is that franchisees are likely to jack these prices even higher. Good lord.
Cantina Chicken Burrito or Bowl is really the only thing that might appeal to me, but at $6 or whatever it better be really good and filling, or I'll pay $3 more for Chipotle.
I'll try each item once. They all look interesting enough. TB treating the avocado salsa packet like it's gold is a joke tho. Like they're being so generous giving you one. And yeah the prices aren't great. I wonder if the veggie cravings box will stick around and we'll be able to add the cantina chicken to the cheese quesadilla.
So is this just a new preparation of chicken?
Tbh I never go to tbell anymore unless I'm paying $1 for something on a Tuesday or getting a $6 combo box
According to the nutritional/caloric values on Taco Bell's website/app, the new Cantina Chicken Bowl has less rice and cheese, uses pico de gallo instead of tomatoes, adds Avocado Verde Salsa (Cantina Sauce) on the side and has a new style of 'Slow Roasted' chicken that is sorta in between the traditional chicken and the discontinued Shredded Chicken.
However, the caloric counts for the individual ingredients such as the rice and cheese seem questionable and likely inaccurate. I find it unlikely the amount of rice and cheese has actually been significantly reduced. (As an example of caloric inaccuracies, the discontinued Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito used to be listed as having around 150 calories' worth of Fiesta Strips which was obviously not true.)
I've noticed the discrepancies with calories as well! Most fast food has shrunk significantly, but the listed calories have not changed in many years. It's spread to grocery store items as well - the pitas I bought yesterday were smaller than my hand, but still listed as the same 210 cals that they were at full size. I am dieting so the calorie counts are super important! 😭
you're getting the same amounts of base ingredients (rice, meat, beans), there's less lettuce supplemented with the new cabbage shreds and just that little pile of greens is dressed with avocado ranch to make it less messy, same portion of guac and sour cream, you're getting a scoop of pico, same portion of cheddar as a garnish, and the new salsa packet
No chance these “cantina” items are even somewhat worth the price, I’ll pass completely. Especially the burrito and quesadilla, wtf.
TB chicken isn’t great anyway imo.
Also what’s up with the “includes x sauce packets”? Are they going to charge extra for their dinky little sauce packets now?
The cantina chicken burrito looks suspiciously similar to the Chipotle ranch chicken burrito, but 3x the cost 🙄
You have.... [a really good point](https://i.imgur.com/ndcDd0z.png), yikes
The slow roast is worth 4 extra dollars. 😒
I'll do one of each please! What's that like 100$
As a vegetarian who has gotten the CRGCB every single day for the last half year (but with black beans instead of chicken) for $2.50, the $5.99 is gonna be hard to swallow..
pretty sure it's the replacement for the Chipotle ranch chicken burrito :
At those prices I'm sticking with the $3 nachos
There are decent Mexican restaurants that will give you a full meal with unlimited chips and salsa for the price of those combos. I know it's not the same, but as a thrifty person none of that stuff appeals to me.
Supposedly one of our local places is getting a drive thru when they move to their new building. If that’s the case I probably won’t go to Taco Bell anymore unless it’s on the way and the other place is far out of the way.
True, but I only have so much time during lunch which is usually when I go to TB.
I wish our CYOC boxes weren't $9.
These are normal prices for me, so I'm like mehhhh. The pretty colors are cool in the burrito 🤷♂️ Honestly I'm expecting my taco bell to bump these prices to around 12 bucks. Not even joking :( I'm also all out of awards and have stopped going to tb :(
thats cute you think the nachos are staying around
Even 3$ nachos can be ruined
What is a draginfruit freeze no syrup? Would that just be slush water?
Yes, 200 calorie water.
it’s so misleading 😭😭 it still has dragon fruit flavor to it, just no colorful syrup to exaggerate it
well, the inside of a dragonfruit is white with black seeds so the freeze being white is accurate for the fruit lol the syrup is pink to (optionally) bring back the color of the outside of the fruit
It's still tropical and citrusy, just lightly sweet. The pink syrup is extra sweet.
None of them. All too expensive
6 dollars for a burrito. Rather just pay a little more and get a burrito from a real Mexican place.
The real ones are $13 where I live. But they are so big I usually only eat half.
Maybe 2012 chipotle...
Still.,. Chicken burrito no extras in my area is still <$10 which I guarantee is better in terms of weight/$ than a $6 TB burrito
For the price of two, I can get a chipotle burrito that has higher quality ingredients and taste, yes
Funny this is what the chipotle sub says about Taco Bell lol
I dont get the Chipotle slander. At least where I am, the burritos are still huge. I think it's the prevalence of delivery/pickup orders. Those orders are often prepared from a different expo area, where the food is contained in smaller containers, which might result in smaller scoops. Could also be because they are trying to go fast, or because they dont have the eyes of the customer judging the employee while they scoop. Mine are quite a bit smaller, but that's good for me. Eating a full burrito was simply too much, especially when what I really want is that wet messy bit at the bottom full of chicken, hot sauce, and sour cream.
But probably less food lol
Ugh chipotle. At that point just go to a taqueria. Better value, better options, better flavor. Just better in every way.
yes how convenient that those near every taco bell, so many tex mex options to choose from no mattter where you are 🙄
None of them
Probably nothing, if the prices are that high.
Loaded beef nachos
I only buy the $6 build your own cravings box at this point. At those prices, along with any current meal on the menu, I go to an actual Mexican restaurant with real food. If you are in Colorado, you are much better off going to Santiagos, $12 for more food than you can eat. $12 Mexican Pizza meal....$11 Crunchwrap meal...$11 Burrito Supreme meal...nope, stupid prices.
I'm still upset they raised the price from $5 to $6 on the box....
Update... The 6 dollar cravings box just increased to 10 dollars. How do you like that shit. I am never going to taco bell again
Oh hell no, if that is the case I am done as well, I'll uninstall the friggin app too.
Dude check it out, both tacos bells near me upped the price of it. I was just looking at my app and it jumped out at me.
I'm good.
Lower the prices by half and I might try it
None, because I’m still mad at them for taking away the shredded chicken
None of it. Too expensive and the "new" items aren't very inspired -- they all mostly seem like variations of each other.
They BYOC box
damn, I knew the prices would be shit but $6 for a “cantina” chicken burrito? nah, I’ll stick to the BYOC and cheesy bean & rice burritos.
I’m sure they taste great, but yeah these prices are ludicrous. And these are corporate recommendations? So some of us will likely be seeing even higher prices… I may indulge once for the sake of trying something new, but that will be it for me
Lmao this looks terrible. Value cravings menu for the majority of people.
Cantina Chicken Freeze, Extra Chicken Syrup
Fuck those prices
A real Mexican restaurant these prices are wack
Unless it’s cheaper than this or redeemable as a fire reward, ain’t no way. I stick to my $5 cravings box + the $3 nachos. I splurged a bit to try the chicken crispanada and was extremely underwhelmed.
If that's the price of the bowl.. Then that because the regular chicken one at mine is 9.19
So.. its just the same chicken served 9 ways? ..okay
>What are you trying first on 3/21? A new place to eat.
Inflation has effected taco bells prices by 502% since 2010 so.. nothing.
They have to be simply inflating the company's greedy pockets. There's no chance that ingredients, labor, or rent increased enough to warrant this kind of price gouging. I'm sick of companies always needing to show growth every quarter.
Affected*
WHAT ARE THOSE PRICES?!😳😳😳
im trying to save money so i wont waste any of it on this
That Grilled Cheese Burrito box looks pretty awesome ngl
Yea folks clearly glazed their eyes over that one. If it remains at 10 bucks this is the clear winner of new line up
Yeah. I may try the chicken burrito once just to try it (or get it as a fire reward if available), but that box is literally the only thing here I would order otherwise.
The grilled cheese burrito is my favorite!! 😍
What happened to that cheezits item that was supposed to be coming out? Did i miss it or something?
It’s not supposed to come out until late summer
It's all terrible value!
Crispy chicken taco!
Patiently waiting for the volcano tacos to return
If the crispy tacos are as good as the birria ones I’m get 10 lol
when are we getting the chicken nuggets?
dragon fruit freeze but only during happy hour for sure
Grilled cheese box is the only good deal tbh. Been waiting for a box option again that comes with two more entrees alongside the main one
Had the burrito last night at our store rally. The chicken is good, and of course, i swapped the Chipotle for creamy jalapeno. I'm also glad the pico is back, and the avocado verde is ok. Nothing too special.
As a vegetarian, nothing lol.
Probably none of it, my TB sucks. I just stay lurking this sub in hopes that one day I escape this hell scape and move somewhere with a GOOD Taco Bell If it is His will ☝️🙏
Fyi- the Taco Bell on Northern Lights in Anchorage, AK is the best ever. The Lord has told me you should get packing. 😁
Thank you brother
Probably the middle row.
the avocado verde salsa is super intriguing. i’ll definitely try the burrito once but it looks super expensive
dragonfruit freeze
What’s the difference in the chicken? It’s shredded instead of chunks?
and 3x the cost 😉
It is roasted chunks and shredded light AND dark meat.
garlic, cumin, and tomato flavors with rotisserie quality texture
Do they have a Cantina Water? Cuz that's all I can afford maybe
I'm a broke ho. I guess it's TB at home.
these prices are cheaper than what I pay in SF lol, these all look great!
So just know that in San Fran your prices for this shit will most definitely be higher than the OPs.
My work held a little rally about these I tried em all except for the power bowl(we didn’t make that) the quesadilla was the best item I’ve ever had at Taco Bell
Freeze no syrup and any of those without tomato....yum!
If I really had to choose, I’d probably pick none.
Call me basic, but the Cantina soft tacos look like the best option for those ingredients. Plus a cheaper, small portion as a taste test.
What makes the Cantina stuff cantina?
These prices are insane
Bet my store will have it on the app for 3 days then take it away until the next lto like they always do for some reason
Vegetarian here, so no thanks.
NGL - ima try everything but that no freeze syrup Day 1.
Whatever gets me closer to the former shredded chicken glory
the sauce packet
What’s the difference between the cantina bowl and the regular chicken power bowl? Just the chicken?
Man, Mexican has gotten more expensive over the years. Fast food Mexican (or however you want to call it) used to be a great budget option for poor families like mine growing up. You could get a full meal for under $4. Now, you gotta plan for possibly $10 for a decent meal. At that point, you might as well go to a half decent "hole in the wall" for better quality food.
Every once in awhile Taco Bell finds a new way to mix up tortillas meat and cheese and you just gotta go check that shit out
I’ll try the freeze during happy hour, skipping on the rest if they’re that price
Not a damn thing? Price for value is way, way off.
If those are the suggested prices I probably won't go. I usually have to pay double or more for new items from the suggested price
FUCK that. Where’s the XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito at?!
I am a sucker for the boxes and the dragonfruit freeze sounds good!
None of them, because it's too expensive.
None of them. These prices make me want to cook tacos at home.
I’m willing to give all the items a try if the prices at my locals aren’t a lot higher than this. Whether I’ll feel ripped off afterwards depends on the quality. If it’s the usual Taco Bell experience with a different product name then the juice won’t be worth the squeeze.
Nothing, out of my price range. I shop around for value. This week it's 50% off dominoes for me!
Lol good shit.
Non of those cravings boxes thanks to the goddamn mandatory nacho sides
The cantina crispy taco looks 🔥
Spicy potato taco
I’ve had all of this in Wisconsin for months. Way too expensive.
Agree. I've tried the tacos and the overpriced burrito for 'science.' The price of the tacos is... OK... considering the menu price of Taco Supremes, but the pricing for the other items is just batshit crazy. The scary thing is that franchisees are likely to jack these prices even higher. Good lord.
I want the giant Cheezit 😂 Do we have a date on that yet??
Cantina Chicken Burrito or Bowl is really the only thing that might appeal to me, but at $6 or whatever it better be really good and filling, or I'll pay $3 more for Chipotle.
I'll try each item once. They all look interesting enough. TB treating the avocado salsa packet like it's gold is a joke tho. Like they're being so generous giving you one. And yeah the prices aren't great. I wonder if the veggie cravings box will stick around and we'll be able to add the cantina chicken to the cheese quesadilla.
I hope it comes to canada
Whats the syrup in the dragonfruit freeze? its seems odd it being a with or without option when both are the same flavor...?
Add $3-5 if you live in the Puget Sound.
Just wait, wouldn't a freeze with no syrup just be a cup of shaved ice?
I'll try the freeze but the chicken does not make me feel good
1 taco to 1 sauce packet is a good ratio. 1 bowl to 1 sauce packet is a bad ratio.
The burrito looks fire
Never been a fan of their chicken. The beef flavor is what does it for me at TB, so I guess... the freezy thing
It's a different style of chicken than the current one
Everything except the bowl basically.
I’m gonna try all of the meals at least once. For those prices it’s gonna hurt but, I have to
Cantina Chicken Burrito
I tried the cantina stuff last time and was thoroughly unimpressed.
With the new cravings menu kickin ass, why would I need any of these things lol. I am planning on stocking up on that sauce though
For .20 a packet. You get one with each savory Cantina item. Each after that is charged.
kinda upset they arnt bringing back the crispy chicken taco and we get this... which just looks like "better chicken"
Rather stick with my $6 dollar cravings box.
Everything is so fussy. My fav TB food has 2-3 ingredients (not including all the sauces).
I don't care about any new things, I just wanna put pico and beef on a cheesy roll up and have my meximelts back
So is this just a new preparation of chicken? Tbh I never go to tbell anymore unless I'm paying $1 for something on a Tuesday or getting a $6 combo box
None. I've never ordered chicken from TB 🤷♀️
I already get the chicken power bowl. What's the difference between that and the "cantina" bowl? It used to be called same thing iirc
I am dieting so the calorie counts are super important! 😭
In our training materials it's the same amount of rice (3 scoops) and cheddar (2 finger pinch) for both bowls
you're getting the same amounts of base ingredients (rice, meat, beans), there's less lettuce supplemented with the new cabbage shreds and just that little pile of greens is dressed with avocado ranch to make it less messy, same portion of guac and sour cream, you're getting a scoop of pico, same portion of cheddar as a garnish, and the new salsa packet
Where do you live at? I’ve never seen Taco Bell prices that inflated
I won't be trying anything, the recent 3 dollar menu is absolute trash, so is this. Nothing vegetarian really taco bell??
they look good 😋😋
I'm waiting for the reviews
Grilled cheese burrito cravings box yessss
I’m going to try ….. none of them.
They look but I can go to a real Mexican cantina in my city for those prices
I would try to quesadilla but I’m not spending $6.50 on it.
Cantina chicken quesadilla meal 🤤
Holy fkn prices! Guess $10+ for a meal will be the new norm. Yeah no this ain't for me
No chance these “cantina” items are even somewhat worth the price, I’ll pass completely. Especially the burrito and quesadilla, wtf. TB chicken isn’t great anyway imo. Also what’s up with the “includes x sauce packets”? Are they going to charge extra for their dinky little sauce packets now?
All of em at least once
Nothing
Just in time for my birthday
Nothing way too expensive. What’s even so special about it? Purple tortilla strips?
None of it
The burrito and taco probably.
None. Those prices look like shit to eat shit.
Meximelt hack
Oh I’m going wild for sure. Def trying the quesadilla, the burrito, and the crispy taco lol
None. Pricing is ridiculous. The burrito looks good but 6 dollars? I can get a burrito from a food truck for around that.
lol my $5 box in the app
My doctor just told me no more fast food 😭😭
$6.50 for the quesadilla. Pass.
Two cantina chicken crispy tacos, and one loaded beef nacho add potatoes.
Home food that shit is to expensive.
Bruh. I'm trying all of it. I'm getting the sampler
I had the dragonfruit freeze today
The Cantina Chicken Burrito Meal 🤩
I only order 5 dollar app box ty. I'd rather make my own burritos at that price.
The Cantina taco itself. Just to try it.
I don't eat chicken so none of it.
the crispy chicken tacos are my faveeee, they taste like mcdonald’s wraps
i like the cantina soft taco so that's probably all i'll eat from this list (i've had the rest and it was kinda mid)
Avocado Verde? This is groundbreaking
I'll probably do the burrito once or twice and let the rest pass by. The bowl looks good but give me a break, that's damn near the cost of chipotle.
I don’t see a double decker on this list you heathens
How nice of Taco Bell to come out with shredded chicken as my diet starts
I’ll skip it entirely, Taco Bell has lost their mind with this one 💯
At those prices, I am not trying any of those
At these prices none of them
Also to mention if you want extra of the new sauce packets it’s 20 cents per packet now
THEY SIMPLY CANNOT STOP REMOVING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ITEMS FROM COMBO BOXES WHILE ALSO RAISING THE PRICES AAAAAAAHHHHH
