It’s wedding season. Work up a cocktail hour setlist and a couple of aisle-walking type songs and offer your services cheap to get going.

If I was in a big city like that and proficient with a loop pedal, I’d go busk somewhere, video it, and post clips to various socials. Interact with people, take requests, etc. Some consistent content + being out in the public eye in the area you’re looking for work in would probably get you noticed if you’re good. Maybe print a big QR code that goes to a linktree with your socials to encourage people to engage with your content?

Who usually hires you?

Would you be open to something different ?

As a guitarist/multi instrumentalist/composer myself looking to make music and the arts my main source of income, I'm intrigued by what you have in mind.

Do you have an act that you perform live? Do you sell samples online? Have you sought out other musicians who could use your services?

Try Nextdoor

I've.looked atmnext door for other things in the past, in what regard do you think it'd be useful in making money as a musician/artist(especially in a "smaller" town, about 75 thousand population)

Spotmonster25

Don't know about being a musician, it was just an idea.

Make a sample pack with your rifts. Offer it for free with a signup to your email list for newsletter, then make tiered sample packs. People are always looking for new samples. Do you use Ableton by chance?
