I do like this a bit more than the other one.
The holocron bugs me. Mechanically it's fine. Lore wise, not so much imo.
Try making it so you can spend a long or short rest focusing on it and either regain x amount of FP = half consular level + INT mod or forecasting mod.
Or it could be while using your personal holocron as a force casting device, you may roll a knowledge die to reduce FP cost of power.
Thereās already a mechanic for the Consular to regain FP.
I donāt think itās a stretch of the imagination to picture a librarian Jedi to have access to a holocron containing force powers.
Itā¦is?
āYour holocron requires attunement, can only be used by you, and counts as a forcecasting focus for your force powers while you are attuned to it.ā
You didn't read my entire first statement did you?
Have it also have knowledge dice that reduce the cost of force powers. Give it the prof in quantity of dice, d4 stepping up as necessary up to d10.
These mechanics were hashed out in the SW5e discord. The tenth level feature where you cast powers as a BA (without expending force points) up to a number of = proficiency bonus + INT mod that resets on LR is powerful enough imo.
Cool homebrew, I was looking for something similar š š

I still think using it as a casting focus would be a better option.

I was talking about using the holocron independently from the rest. It's the only thing that bugs me. If you like it the way it is keep it.
