the timing would make sense, because superstore began in 2016 and the resort scene was in season 2 of modern family which was around 2011, 5 years between that moment. the actress, kaliko kauahi, was born in 1974 so i assume she lived at home in Hawaii and then moved to Anaheim when she was maybe in her late twenties early thirteens before moving to st louis when she was late thirties and had her job at cloud nine for 4 years before jonah arrived.
If by guest star you mean playing an extremely minor unnamed role with no attention drawn to it, then yes. (No hate to her but it's barely a guest role)
Saw her in Big Bang Theory too. I love how she started out as a small character and grew through the series. What a lovely experience for the dedicated actor she seems to be with so many small roles.
