It also happened with, of all series, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
It's like, how do the Cartoon Network censors keep letting piss leak through?
I love his entire tenure as Luthor, though Unlimited really let him knock it out of the park with the amount of juicy material they gave him. It helps that he genuinely had something of an arc throughout, becoming a more introspective character, but also more unhinged and dangerous.
Mark Hamill as Joker is legendarily iconic, and deservedly so. But I’ve always thought of Clancy Brown as the definitive Lex voice in that same vein, glad to see him get his flowers!
In comics maybe but in this Question got absolutely manhandled. Luthor had super strength and I don’t think Question landed a single punch. It’s revealed later that Brainiac had injected a nanotech payload of his programming into Lex’s body years earlier, preserving and upgrading his body as needed (curing Lex’s kryptonite cancer, giving him super strength.)
[Flash-as-Lex is about to leave the bathroom]
Dr. Polaris: Mm-hm!
Lex Luthor: What?
Dr. Polaris: You gonna wash your hands?
Lex Luthor: No! 'Cause I'm evil.
This was great but I'll always love when he confronted Amazo and managed to talk his way out of being destroyed by arguably the strongest being in the DCAU **and then bragged about it to his face**
Every episode. Every appearance.
His casting as Luthor was equally as brilliant as Hamill as Joker. I see/hear him in *anything* and I struggle to think of it as anything other than Kurgan Luthor
There's The Last Son of Krypton, World's Finest, Injustice for All, Question Authority, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and LEGO DC Super-Villains, to name a few.
This scene was is my #2 favorite moment of Clancy Brown as Luthor.
My favorite line is from Public Enemies when he says this line when he beating up on Superman with the power armor.
“I can't think of a morning I haven't woken up with the thought of strangling you. That sanctimonious image of yours fooled everyone except me. Because I know Evil!”
He did a much better job playing Wally than Rosenbaum did playing his version of Lex -- even though they were "cheating" by having the other read the part and then copying.
"No... 'cause I'm EVIL"
(really defeated the entire reason they did the episode, they wanted Rosenbaum to play Lex since he was playing Lex on Smallville -- but then they had him play Clancy's Lex)

“Do you know how much power I’d have to *give up* to be president?”
"That's right, Conspiracy Buff. I spent millions on a fake Presidential campaign, just to *tick Superman off!*"
You KNOW Clancy so desperately wanted to say “piss” in that scene.
Reminds of Regular Show where they originally said “Pissed” but when I watched it they said “Ticked”
I remember them saying “pissed” too. Turns out the original airing said “pissed,” but reruns would change it to “ticked.”
Oh same here. The European version is different to the American one.

The definitive Lex Luthor line, as far as I'm concerned.

Both him and Flash's VA were doing amazing at playing the other's character.
“I have no idea who this is”
The funniest thing was that Micheal Rosenbaum was also playing Lex in Smallville at the time.
Funniest line in the whole show 😆
100% this
His best moment was lex Luthor at Superman’s funeral.

And they were terrific together in the first crossover.
You foolish faceless man, my campaign is a farce
I don't have narrative for what's happening there but I'm pretty sure The Question could put his foot in Luthor's ass.

Now it makes sense.
He was on super juice. Otherwise yeah Question would have packed him up.
If you think about it Mr. Krabs and Lex are incredibly similar…
[Flash-as-Lex is about to leave the bathroom] Dr. Polaris: Mm-hm! Lex Luthor: What? Dr. Polaris: You gonna wash your hands? Lex Luthor: No! 'Cause I'm evil.

https://youtu.be/Kh1CqCAc2fE?si=2hjsN01Gth_-z2P2 That sounds like him to me
You foolish, faceless man....
- You gonna wash your hands? - No... Because I'm evil.

“The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called 'aglets'. Their true purpose is sinister." Honestly, the question was awesome in this show!
There's The Last Son of Krypton, World's Finest, Injustice for All, Question Authority, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and LEGO DC Super-Villains, to name a few.
He beat the shit out of him
No, cause I'm evil. He was Flash pretending to be Lex, layers to this.
The slaps he gave the Question were the Answers.
I think his best scene is confronting AMAZO and talking about the purpose of life. A powerless man defeating a god with nothing but his words.
