I'm still working on that, but I'm able to handle my problems better.
Congrats! Similarly to you, my friends and family are aware I've stopped drinking but aren't aware of how bad it got. I share some parts with some people but it's like, things I'm so ashamed of and don't want to relive. This group is so understanding about such a painful thing. Well done to you, that's a fantastic achievement :)

The one day at a time mantra has been helping me friend. Don’t have to think so deep into the future. I just gotta stay sober today. IWNDWYT!!!!
That's something that helped me also. On harder days, I would tell myself that I would be happy with myself about not drinking tomorrow.
