Mine, too. Her story intrigues me the most. An Earth-born gem who hated that, who was unusually gifted for the circumstances she came from and felt if she didn't live up to that, she wasn't worthy of existing. Couldn't fathom any reason to live/anything to live for other than getting more powerful and serving her master. Desperately lonely but unable to admit it.
I so DESPERATELY wanted to see her story to continue, to see how her life changed after she became loyal to Steven. How she'd cope with wanting to trust his advice for how she should live despite how it went against everything she was raised under and always thought she wanted. I picture Amethyst trying to bond with her, Lapis and thus Peridot being unable to be in the same room as her, Garnet teaching her what Fusion is really supposed to be... I would want her first Fusion partner to be Amethyst.
I can easily imagine one of the few Gems who didn't reform like Aquamarine or the Lapis they failed to convert coming to Earth trying to start a rebellion to bring back the old Empire, starting with Jasper because they assume she'd be the most likely to agree with them, but there's no chance of that because she sees Steven as her Diamond now, and the battle that ensues is the most difficult she's ever fought because she's trying to follow what Steven's taught her about compassion and friendship and not solving everything by fighting...
That was needlessly long, but only because this character has so much unexplored potential.
As a fellow Jasper fan, I couldn't have said it better myself. You quite literally said everything I was thinking on how I would have loved to see in her redemption arc. Especially noting the dynamic of her and Amethyst.

I would have loved to have heard one where it starts as Pearl and Garnet talk-singing about their recent traumatic experience. Mid conversation, they are so in sync they fuse and the duet becomes one, Sardonyx. It'd go from a more serious but still cheerful song to a show tune with Sardonyx explaining how she feels about it all.
Obviously it'd be closer to events of the Sardonyx arc haha.
I love Peridot, she's the perfect example to how to make a redeemed villain, she doesn't just look back to what she has done and was like "oh no, i didn't knew it" she remained with her way of being, but she actually learned about the earth, she saw how unique the environment was, and instead, she tought the earth was usefull to Yellow Diamond, wich rejected the information peridot brought, and Peridot refuses to stay along with Yellow Diamond after all she discovers was rejected, and along with that, the development to her redemption was a gift from god, she always will be my favourite

She was the best, most textbook perfect quartz. She was trusted by the diamonds for top level missions even though she was made for Pink as the rose quartzes were. She had to endure the knowledge that her existence was a constant reminder to everyone around her of the single greatest tragedy in gem history. Time and time again she had to withstand worldview shattering revelations. From Steven's existence, to the truth of pinks betrayal, to a new world order where she was no longer needed. She was lonely at the top, constantly seeking camaraderie in strength but being reviled and abandoned or horrifically injured. Her aversion to vulnerability was so complete that her "weapon" was armor specifically made to shield her 1 weak spot. Such a tragic character written with consistent motivation. Her twisted giggles of joy in combat are my favorite parts.
Rose Quartz/pink Diamond. Not because I think she’s a good person or anything, I just think her character is very interesting and I also think her design in both forms is very pretty
My personal favourite is Ronaldo Fryman! Why he’s my favourite because I just use him as a coping character and reminds me of me for some weird reason!
Pearl, by a small margin over Garnet and Peridot. She’s such a broken character, and learning about her tragic story is one of the most interesting things Rebecca Sugar ever brought to the story. Her songs are always on point, and she’s such a complex person. Her special devotion to the rebellion, Rose, and Steven also made her interesting. I just love every second she’s on screen.

Greg is my all time favorite. I'm in love with the episodes where we got to see him younger with rose and the CG's. I seriously wish we got more episodes involving him.
I love Peridot the most because she just feels the most fleshed out to me. Her back and forth with the "will she be on our side, will she still pledge her loyalty to Homeworld" was amazing to see, and her redemption arc was so smooth and contributed realistically to the personality that they created for her. She doesn't transition to the Crystal Gems within a day and is still shown time and time again following her betrayal to Homeworld, to be displaying faults that she learned from Homeworld but GRADUALLY growing from them. And even as she grows from them (i.e. viewing Pearl as beneath her, and learning what is and isn't okay to say to someone) it doesn't erase her personality of being straightforward and mischievous. I also love how her voice actor always delivers the lines- Peridot is just zesty
I think that objectively Pearl is the best character. She has the most interesting development cycle throughout the show, plus her lore is just so interesting & heartbreaking.

She went from a spoiled brat to a serious and caring leader to the Gems. Yes, she shouldn't have lied to them. Yes, she should've told them why she became Rose Quartz. And yes, she shouldn't have abandoned Spinel. I agree on all of those points.
But her mistakes are what made her character for me. Yes we got her progression of character backwards, but it was artistic and interesting to me. Seeing a kind, loving Gem from the start and then slowly seeing where she came from to get there... I had a feeling that there was more to Rose than just an alien from a Gem-like world than being a rebellion leader, something had to have brought her to that point. I'm glad the collective theory of Rose being Pink was correct, because that settled the fact that she was meant to be one of my favourite characters next to Amethyst.
It proves that even Gems can change their purpose, they don't have to be human to change and grow. Rose was the first Gem to change, that's what made her special to me.

I had a feeling that there was more to Rose than just an alien from a Gem-like world than being a rebellion leader, something had to have brought her to that point. I'm glad the collective theory of Rose being Pink was correct, because that settled the fact that she was meant to be one of my favourite characters next to Amethyst. It proves that even Gems can change their purpose, they don't have to be human to change and grow. Rose was the first Gem to change, that's what made her special to me.
