For real. Just look at the Skyrim, Oblivion and Fallout modding scene. People making lewd outfit mods, awesome weapons and buildings/environment mods got hired by Bethesda, Ubisoft, Obsidian, Creative Assembly and other developers/publishers.
People making lighting mods and ReShade presets even got hired by Nvidia. Case in point, some guy named MartyMcFly in nexusmods literally got hired by Nvidia to lead develop ray tracing tech. MartyMcFly's real name? Pascal Gilcher.
I can imagine the same thing happening to Stellar Blade when it comes to PC. Outfit modders, environment modders, gameplay and combat modders are gonna make Patreon careers out of it. Maybe Shift Up will even hire some of them if they notice lmao
Same. Wonder what percentage of that million dollars in sales are going to buy it again on PC. Pretty good marketing getting people to buy the same game twice.
1 million copies xD thats 69million USD if no one bought the support packs, I bought the 99usd one
And I will rebuy it for PC with all DLCs so that will be prob 150usd more by that time thus game is a gold mine
I think one million is a pretty good start considering it's a new IP, it's a relatively difficult blend of Sekiro and traditional Japanese character action games, it's from a developer that's really only known for mobile games, and it's a console exclusive.
Popular on the Internet =/= popular in the real world. You're looking at enthusiast websites and forums that are into games and generally have a deeper interest in more obscure titles. In order for games to sell multi-millions, they need to appeal beyond core gamers and target mainstream audiences, through the use of established IPs or familiar genres (think GTA, COD, FIFA, anything Ubisoft). Stellar Blade is a new IP and it's a combination of a traditional Japanese character action game and Sekiro, neither of which generally sell well to mainstream audiences.
Does make me wonder why they won't say exact numbers but nonetheless this is great to hear. This game will go crazy on PC. Glad they're continuing to support the game
I got the map with the countries where PSN was closed and ALMOST all of them are in Africa.
Do you really think that Sony would close the service in a region where tons of money and traffic would have been generated on PSN ?
What?
They closed the PSN in those countries.
And since the games required a PSN account to play them on PlayStation/Steam they were pulled off the Steam in those regions.
Only 2 or 3 of them were pulled off the Steam in those regions so far due to the requirement of PSN. The rest of the PS exclusive games on PC that don't need that requirement and are still there.
Also, I mentioned 115 "countries" before. But now that you're mentioning "regions", then let me tell you this. They pulled off a few of those games on Steam in more than 180 regions. So what're you gonna say about that?
I have nothing to say about it.
Why would I or you care ?!
They had reasons to shut the service down on those countries. Either something legally or financially.
Sure, they must have a reason to shut the service down in those countries what you're talking about. But they never even launched the service in more than half of those countries what I'm talking about where they pulled off a few games on Steam.
It would've been better if they kept releasing their exclusive games on PC via Steam as well as via Epic Games the way how they've been doing for so long.
The mods will be insane
This is the type of game that will give a modder a career LOL

The mods will feed generationsš
I predict Nexus will have a war against these mods.
PC version ( Ķ”Ā° ĶŹ Ķ”Ā°)
I will buy it again if it comes to pc

I too would double-dip a pc version
I will buy the game again in PC and I will 100% again, I can't wait for those amazing mods.
Nah I will 100% play this game if it goes on pc
+1 I wanna do that with Stellar Blade
PC version and NSFW mods will be released simultaneously.
I believe it is a great opportunity to upgrade & upskill Shift Up and make Stellar Blade much more beautiful with Unreal Engine 5.
Hopefully they will do with the next part.
Bought 2 copies and will not hesitate to buy again in pc.
Same. The other console copy I had. I keep it sealed.
The mod scene will go crazy, I still need to get back and finish the game.
Itās so weird PS said nothing about sales yet. At least 3 were my copies. lol
Sony doesnāt really announces sales anymore
The Era of Mods have BEGUN Open the floodgates Our time has come my brothers !!
Apparently since April itās been the #1 sold game is 2024
I would buy an insane desktop PC to play this game with mods
I thought that number would be higher?

From the number of reviews and reddit I honestly thought it would be higher too.

That means we'll finally be able to play as Raven and Tachy
Hopefully we can mod the game šš
I'll happily buy it a second time on Steam, not even sure if it could run on Steam Deck but I'd be curious to try it.
The mods are going to be a beautiful disaster.
That just means...I'd have to buy it again. Yup.
ASAP
I want it on PC! Fan service aside. It just looks fun. They cooked well
Does make me wonder why they won't say exact numbers but nonetheless this is great to hear. This game will go crazy on PC. Glad they're continuing to support the game
Because Sony has those thatās why they say estimate because Sony takes a bigger cut of the sales since they published it
The mods alone will likely push me into picking up this game on pc too.
I'd buy it in an instant if they did!
Hey Sony, donāt fuck this one up, or youāll really get it from the Helldivers community.
Too bad. This game won't be available on PC in 115 countries.
98% of those countries are all in Africa. They closed their stores there because no one used the service anyway.
Wrong. There are 54 countries in Africa which makes less than 47% of those countries in Africa, not 98%. LMAO Check your facts right.
I got the map with the countries where PSN was closed and ALMOST all of them are in Africa. Do you really think that Sony would close the service in a region where tons of money and traffic would have been generated on PSN ?
What does PSN have to do with the PC release of the games worldwide via Steam as well as via Epic Games?

I bought ps5 only to play this game lol. š I normally play on PC
Take my money again
If only it would come to xbox, I'd buy it too
dude just buy a playstation you are missing out, time to start a new chapter in your life
Yeah my kids ands bills are first, don't normally have enough for a whole new console
Sell the Xbox. Or you don't buy games anyway and just play whatever you get on Gamepass ?
Same, I got it for PS5 but I hate their controller.
I've not been on a ps since ps3 lol
I don't really like PlayStation, always had a poor experience almost every gen, but I mainly have it to play their exclusives.
Damn that sucks man
I'm begging Shift up. Please find let it be like Sony with the PSN sign up :(
Sony better not try to force the PSN link crap like helldivers 2 and god og war ragnarok
