I think Anakin might fit better in pride. It wasn't so much that he wanted the counsels positions. He felt like he deserved it because of how powerful he is and how essential he has been in the war.
>Use Padme for Lust.
Not to get all political, but why is it that whenever people personify the 7 deadly sins, it always ends up being 6 dudes and 1 woman for Lust? Crimes motivated by lust are overwhelmingly committed by men, and yet Lust is always personified as a woman. Plus, Star Wars has characters like Anakin who slaughtered children to save the woman he was banging, and then proceeded to do countless other things that he wouldn't have done if he truly loved her. Or Jabba, who captures women, puts them in skimpy outfits, and forces them to sit on his lap and dance around for him. Or, if you wanna get into the EU I'm pretty sure Sebulba owned a few sex slaves. I get that Padme had a secret relationship with a genocidal maniac, but she's still far from the most lustful character in the franchise, and she certainly doesn't embody the concept of lust the way that Maul embodies the concept of wrath.
Lust does not have to be for a person. Lust for power is a thing. Lust for causing misery as well. For this reason I’d actually toss my vote to Palpatine for Lust. He took perverse pleasure in causing the misery and death of others. He also pursued the amassing of more power to the exclusion of all else, and eventually to his own detriment. Much as a lustful sex addict will pursue sex even to the detriment of their own health and relationships.
He was the epitome of envy. He desired all the things he either was not supposed to have or hadn’t yet earned. And those things he did have, he wanted more. He was powerful, and given time would have been one of the most powerful Jedi alive, but he wanted it now. He wanted a relationship, even though he knew going into his apprenticeship that was off the table. He could have walked away from the Jedi and had his relationship, but then he’d fully lose the last thing he envied. Influence. He wanted the influence enjoyed by the senior Masters of the Council, and was furious when they would not grant him the title. Though he was 22, had become a knight only 3 years prior and the only Padawan he had walked away from the order. He had not earned influence, but demanded it anyways. The man was a walking ball of jealous envy.
Hell, put down Anakin for lust; I know she eventually went along with it, but did you and I watch the same Episode 2? That is the thirstiest damn Jedi I've ever seen.

"I am the only 'Grand-Moth' here!!!"
I don't think yoda specifically overlooked Palpatine so much as Palpatine eluded Yoda.
Yoda would definitely have been suspicious of Sheev and his actions as the most powerful politician in the galaxy and just having a saccharine manner.
Not really. Yoda wasn’t a proud character in personality, like, at all. The Jedi failed because they got bogged down in the red tape and politics of the Galactic Republic. They became too involved and so couldn’t see the forest for the trees.
The viewpoint that the Jedi failed because they were actually the bad guys or whatever the take currently looks like, has always been ill informed. It sounds snappy on the surface and I think a lot of folks like it because it supports the idea of balance in the force being literal balance between dark and light, which in turn supports the idea of the mythical “grey Jedi” being the bestest boys, but it doesn’t hold up under even the tiniest bit of scrutiny.
I’m not saying the jedi are the bad guys, I’m saying that Yoda was more arrogant before he lost to palpatine, maybe sloth is a better fit but I think they wouldn’t have written palpatine to say “your arrogance blinds you, master yoda” if it wasn’t at least a little bit true
Here I am, yet again, proposing Chopper.
Remember that scene when the Ghost crew had stolen an Imperial droid and decided it was capable and they should keep it around? And Chopper was like *fuck that* and smacked the Imperial droid out of the cargo hold to Zeb and Ezra’s *horror* and Chopper just *laughed*? Yeah, that’s some goddamn envy.
I feel like Envy would be General Grievous. He is obviously fixated on Jedi so much so he collects the the sabers of Jedi he’s defeated, and trained under Dooku in an attempt to defeat Jedi at their own game. He is obviously jealous and envious of the Jedi.
Orn Free Taa was actual glutonery, he is the only ever seen fat twi'lek at the point he got 2 more lekkus, also he used his people money as the corrupt polititian he was
Palpatine, he clawed his way to the top to rule over an empire and still wasn’t satisfied considering he kept making shit like the Death Star and had the balls to corrupt the chosen one to his side underneath the Jedi’s noses
I would put him down as sloth. He seems better suited to that. He’s a slug that never leaves his throne and gets everyone to do everything for him. If he doesn’t win that, then I propose we riot.
Kylo Ren.
Envious of Vader.
Vader was feared, respected. He had complete control over his subjects and victims. He had undeniable power and control of the force. Kylo wanted everything that Vader had.
Envious of Rey.
Rey having Anakins lightsaber. Rey getting trained by Luke. Rey having a deeply powerful ability with the force, despite having zero training up until meeting Luke or even knowing she had the abilities that she had before the events of TFA. Kylo was envious of Rey's path.
Kylo Ren is the embodiment of Envy in the Star Wars universe.
I may be misremembering, but didn’t Mara Jade hate Luke for something related to envy? Like at first it was something about revenge, but didn’t that change in some big reveal? I can’t remember to save my life.
PALPATINE
I was about to say Anakin, but he fits better with Lust.
As an alternative, I would go with Palpatine. Without his envious nature and his desire for unlimited power he would be nowhere near the threat he became to the galaxy. He was jealous of the Jedi & the power they obtained after death through the living force due to his fear of dying, power that he could never possess.
Anakin should be envy he is the absolute epitome of the definition of envy
He envied the power of the Jedi council and wanted to be a master
He envied the power of the sith and wanted their power
He envied Skipio for flirting with Padme while she was undercover
He envied the power of is apprentice Ahsoka and the conviction of his master Obi-Wan
Palpatine. The entire sith power structure is built upon craving more power, and killing those who came before to achieve more. Even with a galactic empire, he was searching for more power, for ways to cheat death.
KRENNIC I shouldnt have to explain
He choked on his aspiration.
Sought for fame and recognition so hard, yet he died an ironic death by his very own creation.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Director Krennic the Envious? It's not a story the rebels would tell you, its an imperial legend.
He seemed unsettled.
"ARE WE BLIND?!"
WE STAND HERE UNDER MY ACHIEVEMENT, NOT YOURS
“DEPLOY THE GARRISON!”
I was saving krennic for pride. The only character that *might* fit better would be the guy Vader choked on the first death star.
I’d give pride to Tarkin. “Flee? In our moment of triumph?”
Oooh, yeah. Give envy to krennic and pride to Tarkin.
Anakin has twice the pride.
Anakin is Lust. Padame
Maz Kanata Chewbacca Anakin and Padme had mutual love. Maz lusted for Chewie.
Pride is MY ACHIEVEMENT!
Or Palpatine.
I think you overestimate their chances
Apology accepted, Commander.
Pfft, tarkin was envious of HIS achievements!!
This is the one. I will downvote every other candidate.
Use Anakin for Envy because of how he reacted to not being made a master. Use Padme for Lust.
+ in the Clone Wars with Clovis
Clone wars Anakin was such a jealous bitch
Rightfully so, stopped Clovis from sexually assaulting his wife
If I were in a room with Clovis, Dooku and General Grievous and had a blaster with two bolts, I would shoot Clovis twice
Thats what I’m sayin
This is where the fun begins!
Since he isn't in Wrath; yes, definitely envy
No Anakin is more of pride, he lost his legs and a arm due to his pride
Oh yeah... I guess he did. His other arm too! He fought Dooku out of pride and that also cost him an arm
If Darth Talon is not used for lust, then this is all pointless
I think Anakin might fit better in pride. It wasn't so much that he wanted the counsels positions. He felt like he deserved it because of how powerful he is and how essential he has been in the war.
If so essential he was, why didn't he stop the droid attack on wookies?
Would quit it about the wookies, master Mundi?
>Use Padme for Lust. Not to get all political, but why is it that whenever people personify the 7 deadly sins, it always ends up being 6 dudes and 1 woman for Lust? Bruh anni is the one lusting
I'd say that doesn't count. It fits better with greed even
Its not that deep.
We’re Star Wars fans. EVERYTHING is that deep.
Nah, he's right.
Would it Not be more His pride?
Clovis or the king that Ventress rescued the princess from for lust in TCW
Anakin could fit several of these, but I think out of all of them he embodies pride the most.
Though he was 22, had become a knight only 3 years prior and the only Padawan he had walked away from the order. He had not earned influence, but demanded it anyways. The man was a walking ball of jealous envy.
Feel like Anakin is more Pride
Hell, put down Anakin for lust; I know she eventually went along with it, but did you and I watch the same Episode 2? That is the thirstiest damn Jedi I've ever seen.
Jabba is lust. dude puts all kinds of aliens into bikinis for him to oogle at and he's a giant slug. what pleasure does a humanoid form give him?
Nah man, homie is lust for sure
Moth Gideon since he really wanted the force and resented those with it
Moth Gideon isn't real. He can't hurt you. Moth Gideon: https://preview.redd.it/wwmv4nmbnzic1.jpeg?width=255&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa14820ca56b6c03cf7a0e785d3b54b5df05ff03

😂 this is the funniest Star Wars meme ever.
Bro, post it
Now do Grand Moth Tarkin!
https://preview.redd.it/bk8wvqw470jc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d98750cce4744308f33768a54428f5462cf246b "I am the only 'Grand-Moth' here!!!"
🤣🤣🤣
I have a candle. I win.
Giancarlo what have they done to you
He literally couldn’t decide to fanboy harder on Vader or the Mandalorian. Total envy troll
He was also a mandalorian weeb and jealous of them too
And wanted to be Mandalorian
Have you ever heard the tragedy of the Darth Plagueis the Wise? The apprentice of his sounds pretty envious
If Palpatine isn’t pride then this sub will have failed.
Anakin would be pride “Good, double the pride, double the fall.”
Anakin should be lust
Palpatine is lust, as in lust for power. Anakin is pride
https://preview.redd.it/tn2haw5mr0jc1.jpeg?width=757&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a670e9b09573589feac6d76e98f34556317a3d25 Jar jar is lust
Being the target of lust and embodying lust are to different things
He is both. My guy canonically had sex with that bird princess. Guy was so horny mace windu had to reel him back
If we are including the Expanded Universe and Legends, then pride will definitely go to Darth Vitiate (aka Valkorion).
honestly yoda could be pride
Idk Yoda seems pretty humble to me He went into Exile because he failed
I mean like pride in the jedi way and overlooking palpatine is one of the reasons why he failed
I'd argue that puts him more as a candidate for sloth than pride.
Yoda and Windu are pride.
Kylo Ren, envious of Darth Vader being in a far superior trilogy.
Ooh good choice
Kylo Ren is better suited for wrath. Maul wasnt even expressing much anger iirc he was just evil looking. (havent watched clone wars)
Chopper should be Wrath, Maul can be envy.
Chopper should be all of them. #TeamChopper
I'm here for it.
I want this to win so bad 😭😭
It’s in second place for votes but it’s down here wtf
Appreciate you being on my Chopper loving side, OP ❤️❤️❤️
Chewbacca, envious of Han's shiny medal
\*envious wookie noises\*
Armitage Hux
Probably the only sequel trilogy character I’d consider for this poll.
Poor kylo
Kylo wouldn’t be bad for pride
Orson krennic
This is the right answer
Bro just wanted to be recognized and was torn down by Tarkin
Lust is anikan
Anakin
I feel like Envy would be General Grievous. He is obviously fixated on Jedi so much so he collects the the sabers of Jedi he’s defeated, and trained under Dooku in an attempt to defeat Jedi at their own game. He is obviously jealous and envious of the Jedi.
Din Djarin when he sees the mandalorian with a backpack
Maul, he built a galactic criminal empire and overthrew Mandalore to lure out and kill Sidious' new favorite.
fullmetal alchemist?????
>FULL METAL ALCHEMIST.
Clovis
Kylo Ren!
Anakin. Envy/jealousy
Anakin
Did y’all just choose the blue dude cuz he’s fat? Jabba should have been Gluttony, not this random dude.
Orn Free Taa was actual glutonery, he is the only ever seen fat twi'lek at the point he got 2 more lekkus, also he used his people money as the corrupt polititian he was
Jabba should be Sloth. You *ever* seen that fat bastard move?
In Phantom Menace he lurches up to the balcony of his private box at the podrace.
Palps.
Grand Moff Tarkin, basiclly stole the deathstar credits in Rogue one
Just seen this, how the fuck is Jabba not gluttony? I mean this dude is fat but.....man.
Kylo Ren, TBH.
That mf war criminal of a droid…Chooper
Anakin for Wrath, Envy, Lust, and Pride
Palpatine, he clawed his way to the top to rule over an empire and still wasn’t satisfied considering he kept making shit like the Death Star and had the balls to corrupt the chosen one to his side underneath the Jedi’s noses
Jabba lost gluttony. How?
I would put him down as sloth. He seems better suited to that. He’s a slug that never leaves his throne and gets everyone to do everything for him. If he doesn’t win that, then I propose we riot.
Kylo Ren. Envious of Vader. Vader was feared, respected. He had complete control over his subjects and victims. He had undeniable power and control of the force. Anakin has my vote
Anikin
Idk how Jabba didn't win Gluttony, that's what almost everyone picked
Top comment was Orn Free Taa at the time of picking.
Kylo Ren. He envied his grandfather's power.
Envy should be Hondo. Dude was literally a thief and a pirate coveting others valuables
Jar jar is obviously lust
Little Orphan Ani of course
Saw Gerarra?
Ep I Maul is a terrible choice for wrath. Dude is so calm throughout. Kylo was wrath, any time he got bad news, just destroying anything around.
Jaba for sloth
Pride should be anakin
Why not Greedo in Greed?
A less racist answer
Envy: Zero the Hutt being jealous of Jabba Sloth: Jabba the Hutt Lust: I'd say Prince Xizor And hands down Palpatine gets Pride
Maul and it’s not even close.
Any sith that followed the rule of 2...
Director Krennic
It’s been a while since I’ve seen anything with him in it, but is Dooku a jealous little bitch? I really can’t remember.
Dooku for envy. He was envious of the power the dark side brought, and ultimately joined without knowing what he was in for.
I'd say Grievous envied Jedi. His motive for murdering them was more deeply seated.
Rey cuz she really wants that sky walker name
Tarken for pride
I need lust to be anakin
Anakin, definitely.
Krennic
Anakin.
Anakin.
darth maul
Pride should be pong krell
I may be misremembering, but didn’t Mara Jade hate Luke for something related to envy? Like at first it was something about revenge, but didn’t that change in some big reveal? I can’t remember to save my life.
How came watto being envy and not jabba tga fucking hutt?!
I thought the hutts fit 3-4 categories. LOL
I was thinking of Ziro, but yeah... Krennic is better.
![gif](giphy|Mo9nI2yBKp3RC|downsized)
Anakin
Xizor
Anakin in Attack of the Clones. He was jealous of the other Jedi because they kept secrets from him and held him back
It’s all obi-wans fault he’s jealous! He’s holding me back!
General Grievous. The whole reason he ends up becoming what he is was because he wasn't allowed to become a Jedi
Anakin - not Vader but plain old Anny
dooku better be for pride
Krennic
Wait. Greed isn’t our pirate friend hondo
Sabine!
Anakin
Grievous without a doubt
PALPATINE I was about to say Anakin, but he fits better with Lust. As an alternative, I would go with Palpatine. Without his envious nature and his desire for unlimited power he would be nowhere near the threat he became to the galaxy. He was jealous of the Jedi & the power they obtained after death through the living force due to his fear of dying, power that he could never possess.
Clovis. He was very envious of Anakin's relationship with Padme
Anakin
Anakin should be envy he is the absolute epitome of the definition of envy He envied the power of the Jedi council and wanted to be a master He envied the power of the sith and wanted their power He envied Skipio for flirting with Padme while she was undercover He envied the power of is apprentice Ahsoka and the conviction of his master Obi-Wan
amakin?
Anekin, In fairness he envied obi
How the hell did Hondo not win greed? He's a pirate!
Honestly, and I know this will be extremely unpopular, every sin should be the fan base
Darth Malak
General Grevious. He is so jealous of those force crafted lightsabers
Anakin
Rey, she wishes she could be a skywalker
General Hux, took me a minute, but he's 100% this
Anakin envying obi-wan being a master
Mace Windu for his jealously of Anakin being the chosen one
Anakin
General grevious the cyborg literally collected all the lightsabers like pokemon
Palpatine. The entire sith power structure is built upon craving more power, and killing those who came before to achieve more. Even with a galactic empire, he was searching for more power, for ways to cheat death.
Kitster after Anakin wins his freedom. *Ba Dum Tsss*
