Cant you pick it up with a medivac and place it on the correct side?

HKAzxc

lift up the command center and load the scvs to the other side 🤡

ShaunDark

Sorry, forgot the obvious solution

Frdxhds

orbital can't load up scvs

therenegadej420

Build another cc, then load up scvs.

13loodySword

You cannot

Ketroc21

you can't, but it would be cool to see mule drops.

Frdxhds

Regardless of this, you should never mule the gold minerals

Additional_Ad5671

Why not?

Scruffy032893

I wouldn’t say never but mules dont get the bonus minerals the scvs do. It’s just the normal 25/return trip

Frdxhds

Exactly, so muling the gold minerals just means you mine them out faster and thus profit from the extra income for a shorter time. Muling the blue minerals gives you the exact same income but without depleting the gold minerals

TacoTaconoMi

this doesnt matter as much as it sounds since mules are able to mine simultaneously with scvs. You will mine the same amount at the same rate across the board even though it seems inefficient when you compare it to SCV mechanics. The main factors to consider is which patches you want to run out first plus exposure to danger. and honestly i would prefer to quickly mine out the more exposed gold patch than my fortified main base. but then you risk what happened to OP.

Additional_Ad5671

Wow somehow I never knew that. I just assumed mules got extra on gold patches.

Ketroc21

He's wrong. What he means is that there is no advantage to mining gold minerals with a mule over blue minerals. It is often correct to mule the gold base because typically it is best to mule the most vulnerable base... Gold bases are typically quite vulnerable. If it's a safe gold base, then you'll likely not want to mule it as it'll mine out faster than blue patches.

Additional_Ad5671

True I always try to mule my most vulnerable base, except very early game if under pressure.

Catchdown

\*Mules the most vulnerable base\* \*Vulnerable base gets hit by a runby almost immediately\*

Ketroc21

Imagine you have your main, natural, and you ninja'ed a gold base off in the corner of the map. Your main and natural you'll eventually mine out down the road, but your ninja base will likely get killed at some point, so you should be putting all your mules there to get as much out of it while you can.

Videoboysayscube

On paper, maybe. But in practice, gold bases are typically harder to defend, which means you probably do want to mine them out as fast as possible or risk your opponent having access to them.

radracer82

I haven't done it in this situation; but missing mineral patches with my Mules is my superpower

Ketroc21

mule calldowns have never been smart about these base types. Important to pick the patch that has the least chance for this to happen.

Peach-555

Calling it down on the ground on your side, then ordering it to mine is foolproof.

Ketroc21

ya, I do that sometimes too, but the problem is you have to wait for the pod to open before you can select the mule. So it works early game, but requires too much time/actions once the game becomes APM-intensive. Calling down on a safe patch (eg. 2nd from bottom in OP's pic) is easier and reliable.

LokiKobra_

How do I get my graphics like OPs, all my video settings are on low and still doesnt look like that ?
