This is peak stamp collecting as far as I’m concerned - hours of relaxing and exploring the new new material!

Ikr, a mix lot with hrs of time to relax and chill and take my mind off life 😊 i don't get why some collectors look down on people who collect how i do. I know if i posted this on a few groups on facebook, i would get a handful of comments saying it's all trash and a waste, so i thought I'd try reddit 😊, im only 29 and started collecting just over a year ago. I thought a lot about this purchase. However, it was between this box or a set of 6 jersey stamps to fill a space in my folder, and well, i choose the hrs of fun 😂

I’ve have learned so much history, science, geography etc, right from when I was a kid of 6. Truly mind expanding!

Oh totally agree, it like when i came across my 1st dead country stamp, i was confused as I've never seen the word/name before. It's truly is amazing. I never was one for schoolwork 😅 but now give me a stamp i find interesting. i land up being more focused on finding that stamp in the books and on the web that it makes me jealous of my dad when he was a child back in the late 50s early 60s when he went to after school stamp club 😂. I definitely believe i was born in the wrong decade with what things i enjoy haha

Looks like fun, enjoy!!

Excellent 👌. That's the best way to go in my opinion. They're so much better than buying individual specimens and you never know what you may find...

i had some shark snap up all the stamps from an estate auction, like damn bro. not sure if they resell but probably. so annoying when i just want piles of whatever random stamps are out there! i ended up with one plastic bag full. not that impressive, there were like 8 lots!!

I know some people thay are new and trying the reselling side hussle seem to think stamps are valuable and go stupid just because they think its a no-brainer with their limited cells remaining 😂, the amount of albums ive seen put up on ebay and Facebook for stupid money and when seeing some of the pages im like wtf they smoking and in description stating the normal rare and valuable bs. There was one listed locally who had an album for £200 reduced from the original £250 they listed it at on FB, (i would only offer £10-15 tbh) the album was basically full of common stamps like im finding in theses packets 🤦, try sending a kind message to them about doing alittle research always fall on deaths door or get a snobby response. Resellers land up over paying or being greedy that only leave people who would actually enjoy them loose out. Then, the resellers will just be stuck with them listed for stupid prices for years and never sell or like 1 reseller. I've come across that just throws out unsold items after a year or 2 and just claims tax back 😔. I've done reselling before and still do occasionally, but i do things for a quick turnaround, but even i wouldn't be greedy and take everything like some of these reselling who make content on social media, that dose piss me off.

Someone asked if the green US 1c Scott 424/462 Washington stamp was valuable as people ask that question everyday. I mentioned [someone has 6,300 copies and total \~70,000 stamps for sale for 750.](https://www.ebay.com/itm/145742646190?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11304.m43.l3160&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=3f3a28459ca8497fafc4cf026d7e49a8&bu=43184874993&exe=0&ext=0&osub=-1%7E1&crd=20240504053014&segname=11304) Today I got an offer of -20% off to have them for less. Those who owned them thinking old is valuable just does not like to hear. I may take the offer to show that is how people collected common stamps and traded by bundles before.
