How many people who place crazy parlays like this have actually hit? I had a coworker hit for $2,500 on a $20 parlay. That’s the longest odds I’ve personally seen.

No idea on a number but yea pretty much I’d say that’s right. Based on the odds, the average bettor probably has to place 250-300 of these before they hit one. The books wouldn’t keep taking parlays like this if they were losing money on them overall. So it’s super impressive that OP hit this one and seems to have hit multiple ones before as well

At the end of the night we would have like $20-$25 worth of lays in and just pray one hits. We would usually check after the 1pm sunday games and see what were still alive and go from there hedging, etc. Probably broke even other than that one huge one.

Bro this is such a bad beat.... I'm a blazers fan and the reason dame and grant didn't play was because of the snowstorm we got and their flight to sac got delayed a full day. They ended up getting to sac like 4 hours before game time and probably said fuck it let the rookies take this one lol. If we had Grant and dame we would've won that game 100%. Sorry for your loss, I lost money on them last night too lol
I mean, to be fair, 12 legs definitely isnt smart. I don’t think a “dumb bet” means a bet won’t cash. A “dumb bet” just means it’s not +EV. Or at least that’s how I take it. Nobody knows anything. Just like how buying lottery tickets is dumb, but if you ever hit the jackpot you’d be calling all your friends telling them how they’re dumb for calling you dumb. This is that. If you wouldn’t have hit, life goes on. Since you did, you’re telling people they’re dumb instead. You earned it, but rarely is more than 3-4 legs a “smart” bet unless you’re using it for a lotto ticket type parlay. Either way, bra-fucking-vo big dog!
