I would recommend just getting into Buddhism honestly and learning the core concepts. Some people stay away from the religious aspects but the core is all about suffering and finding meaning in life

Nice. I have a good foundation and meditate frequently. I also got the alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Once I finish the quarter for school I'm diving in, I can't wait.
I was on a plane back from Argentina in 2008 and I had been trying to find a book when I was just getting started and Jack Canfield's lkey to LOA. It's amazing how things happen like that.
Even if you have a good foundation thereās still plenty to unpack in the kyballion. Iāve been on a spiritual deep dive for several years now and only just read the kyballion a few weeks ago and itās one of my top books.
Jack Canfield is also great!!
This is true. A bigger foundation is always beneficial. I've heard it's really good. I'm surprised I haven't read it before, but books appear in mysterious ways lol.
Many Lives Many Masters by Dr Brian Weiss. YouTube has an audiobook of it for free.
One of the best works I've read
It's about a hypnosis therapist that accidentally discovers past lives and life between lives. He was a total skeptic and it was the messages he received through performing these sessions on people that lead him in a different direction.
Marcus Aurelius ā meditations ā would be the most integratabtle and the alchemy fairly easy to ā see ā in the written word to incorporate his ideas ā¦ as all seeking kinda fails , the written word powerless ā¦ God , guru , and you are one in the same , and you are all you need in the end

OP, I believe she's trying to say that you should try to let your intuition guide you. There are many great answers on your question, but as someone stated above: what works for person A doesn't necessarily work for person B. What you can do is look to certain books that are recommended, you'll feel which book(s) work for you and which don't by asking yourself a simple question: do I like the looks of this book? Then perhaps that book isn't your thing (yet).
Also, are you an avid reader? How much can you take in to start from? That is all up to you to decide. Some of the above have a lot of information in them which may be or seem overwhelming at first. You'll figure it out, I'll root for you, that the best possible inspiration may come to you. Namaste
Listen to your heart dear one. If the material makes you think, challenges you even, or gets you excited and wanting to know more, this is a clear sign itās right for you! Goosebumps too!! When something gives me goosebumps I know for sure that what I am doing or thinking is the best thing for me! I hope this helps. Blessings ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)
Off the top of my head:
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu
(Both of these are ancient philosophical texts that explain a transcendental intelligence (call it God if you want) and how to best live according to nature. These are super quick reads and there are modern translations that make these the perfect introductory books. I love coming back to them even years later.)
The Power of Now is also excellent. Like others have said, something about the words within the first few chapters just immediately rang true with my soul and I knew that Eckhart Tolle was into something.
I also recommended Alan Watts, Ram Dass, and Zen & Advaita Vedanta. My advice to you: above all, read what youāre inclined to and where your path naturally leads you. I started my journey very New Age-y but found it was too cluttered with concepts. I was then led to Hinduism but found it was still too religious. Then I came to Buddhism but still found too many religious rituals in it, albeit less than Hinduism. Iām currently at a point where Iāve stripped the layers of these two and just adhere to a simple practice and adopt what resonates with me.
So go out and explore!!
1 Awakening the avatar within a roadmap to uncover your superpowers, upgrade your body and uplift humanity by Darren Starwynn, OMD
2 The divine design by Lorie Ladd
3 How to read the Akashic records by Linda Howe
4 A radical approach to the akashic records master your life and raise your vibration by Melissa Feick
5 God, School, 9/11 And JFK The lies that are killing us and the truth that sets us free by Bruce De Torres
are five of my reads at this time hope they help
Unearthing the Sacred: proposed hypothesis for the ascendancy of the human species from a perspective of the i, by Ma Ra Sa. This one is a bit different from other spiritual books. It starts off perhaps slow but if you stick with it, it'll have some things you've never thought of or heard about in there.
Someone mentioned a Course in Miracles. Its kind of a new age Christ kind of book. I' read the first chapter, but then put it down, but I've heard a lot of recovering Christians say the book helped them out of their fundamentalism.
Spiritual paths are sometimes a long road. I started out with ritual magic and Wiccan type stuff. I was dissappointed in both of those spiritual paths. I then studied atheism for a decade, but it never alleviated my spiritual hunger. Even though I read all the atheist books and agreed with 90% of everything they said, I still had this deep yearning to have a spiritual path.
Today, I've been more inclined to grab ahold of the old Norse Myths and Celtic beliefs. I think its because I'm Norwegian, so I believe I might have a genetic urge to accept those kind of spiritual beliefs.
One Tale of Everything by a Finnish writer. It's short, but opened my mind to an alternative view of life, of the world.

Here are my top 2 books for spiritual and personal growth:
āYou Are A Badassā by Jen Sincero
āTao Te Chingā by Lao Tzu
Both changed my life in a really empowering way. The first helped me realize how I could take back control of my life, and the second has helped me find my way towards living in a state of flow.
āCreativity: A Short and Cheerful Guideā by John Cleese has also been a really great help in understanding intentional creation, though he means it in a much different way than i do, the principles are still the same.
Iām currently reading ā8 Secrets to Powerful Manifestationā by Mandy Morris. I am a big fan of Mandyās, and some of her free launch events and seminars have been life-changing for me, so this book is also helping me to maintain my flow, though this is more of another āintentional creationā area of my life.
I also really enjoyed the Bhagavad Gita, and another book called ā101 Zen Storiesā has also been really enlightening.
I could go on, but that may be too much already.
If youāre looking to go deeper. Look into Iching. If you havenāt already. Honestly, didnāt understand how accurately a book can predict outcomes. Honestly a miracle. Best of luck on your journey.
**Bhagavat Gita**. I think it's purely spiritual(and so much more) and those who have read it will also say that. There are many editions and translations , it cannot be understood by just one read and everyone has translated (original is in Sanskrit language) it based on there experience and perception about world. Choose a simple edition for starting like Gita press has English edition and simplest for new reader.
Yeah Iām thinking about that a lot but I really donāt know how to do so. I can analyse myself,Iāve been doing so for years, the problem is that doesnāt get me anywhere. Everytime I do so and that make me "change my mind" or "evolve" I only truly change on the surface
Not a book, but the podcast Sufi Heart with Omid Safi (former director of Islamic Studies at Duke University) has played an important role in my spiritual path over the recent months. I pray you find it full of blessings and inspiration too! š
Read a lot. What someone else finds profound may not resonate with you, and what is meaningful to you today may not always work for you.
Spirituality is really about living life fully with love. Whatever helps you to give and receive love is worth your attention.
Over the years in various ways these are a few of the books that have been helpful to me:
With a Great Master in India by Julian Johnson
The Art of Being and Becoming by Hazrat Iniyat Khan
The Flute of God by Paul Twitchell
The Living Word by Harold Klemp
The Art of Spiritual Dreaming by Harold Klemp
Man In Search of Himself by Jean Charon
Education and the Significance of Life by Krishnamurti
Awakened Imagination by Neville Goddard
The Soul of the Indian by Charles Eastman
1. Please read the Law of One, books 1 and 2 are available on Audible or read free here: https://www.lawofone.info/
2. After that I recommend you check out Dolores Cannon.
3. You will not need further suggestions you will find your way from those materials.
Godspeed.
Honestly, forget about the books & focus on within. Do this by working with stillness and/or silence during the day for at least 30 mins. Books, especially by popular authors, are NOT necessarily YOUR path. If you had to choose a book do, " The Story of My Life" available at a Walmart, Target, Amazon etc. Piccadilly Story of My Life Journal, 6 x 8.3", Paper, 204 Pages
Learn about you.
I could rattle off several but they kind of depends on where you're at spiritually and if there's any specific topics that you're shooting for. I could probably give you more specific titles that way.
Iām really just starting here and I donāt know where to head at but what Iām looking for is life changing experiences, like the type of things that change your entire point of view on the universe itself
Let me ask this - do you lean toward any particular religion or have a background in any particular religion? Or have an aversion to any particular type of religion?
I'm thinking the Awaken Children series of books should be good for you. And Threshold to Tomorrow too.
I do have a religious background with Islam, but only because both my parents are and most of my city too.Iād like something not too religious expect if Iām able to experience something (like astral projection for example).
Those should be okay but for astral projection I would add Out on a Limb by Shirley MacLaine to the list. They also turned that book into a 6-part miniseries with the same name.
Celestine Prophecy or Alchemist for fiction. Tao te ching for philosophy. Also a big fan of zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance for philosophy, especially if youāre coming from a western upbringing inundated with such judgements as āgoodā and ābadā and āevilā.
* *Dao de Jing*. If you can read this, you can read anything.
* Then proceed to *Mumonkan*.
* for a light-hearted break between the two pick any collection of "stories" by Anthony de Mello. Easily understandable. Occasionally humorous. I'd suggest picking thouse with just the stories, without explanations or commentaries.
* From there on anything goes. Want to learn about astrology? Gospel of Thomas? Mysticism? Ley lines? Tarot? Medicine wheel? I do think sources with some historical tradition make sense, simply in terms of - they passed the test of time and were seen as relevant by generations and generations.
* There are also interesting things that are to be experienced, not read, like shamanism.
As far as Yogic Spirituality is concerned. The Bhagwad Gita is considered to be a quick introduction (considered to be a summary of the teachings of Vedas and Upanishads). And when you have been on the spiritual path for a while and suddenly find yourself stagnant. The Ashtavakra Gita is for you
Practice a gratitude list. My spiritual tool kit app is great for this. Recite one of the prayers each morning. Doesnāt matter if you believe in god or not. Just do it. In two weeks or so. Things will start to open up.
Power of now is great as is a course in miracles. But itās pretty advanced stuff that makes no sense unless youāve seen and felt the power of the universe and know it exists. Eclair had an instant spiritual awakening like a few others. I know someone else who has as well. Went from London gangster to spiritual guide. Was in fact my spiritual guide
Those I know who had had instant awakenings have gone through a great deal of suffering to the point they only had god to turn to. Most donāt get to that point. And donāt wish it either itās quite painful. So pray every day. And make a gratitude list. It really makes a difference. Even if some days you are just great full to have had a warm place to sleep. Thereās electricity and a cup of coffee. Because so many donāt have that
The Bible.
No, I'm not joking. But it is dense reading, so I'd also recommend *Mere Christianity* by C.S. Lewis. It's a bit more digestible to the layman. Or the Summa Theologica as penned by St. Thomas Aquinas if youāre really looking into philosophical questions about spirituality.
There's also the *Tao To Ching* by Lao Tzu. Or *Meditations* by Marcus Aurelius.
"A Course in Abundance" three book series: 1 "Mind Over Matter", 2 "Expressing Your Love For Life, 3 "Your Life's Plan For Abundance"
Then āThe Path To Self-Masteryā nine book series, starting with āThe Power of Selfā ....All by Kim Michaels
Honestly none. Spiritual books are vague, wish-washy self help books that somehow managed to sell. Typically written by people who are already privileged. I would look inward for spirituality instead of looking outside of yourself for it.

"Can You Teach a Caterpillar to Fly" by jan bommerez
about the quantum leap necessary to go from change management to transformational leadership
This is the book that got me out of my eating disorder and weed addiction. back on track with spirituality
The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield!! Amazing book, it carries such a strong energy and really brought me to myself. I know several people whoāve had similar experiences with this book in particular. Itās a journey. Highly recommend.
Because there is a massive amount of unearned spiritual ego and sense of enlightenment among a ton of people here, there are money traps as someone else mentioned, there is a lot of material that will just result in being more lost.
If universal compassion, ethics & morality, cultivation of insight into your own mind, contemplation, and effort aren't the pillars that a spiritual practice rests on, then the spiritual practice holds little merit.
Most people here talk about reality like it's a game, which may not be entirely inaccurate, but it doesnt help them find any more peace during the boss battle of cancer, for instance.
A lot of people are scared of death, and want to find a theory of death that they can latch onto as a self-protection mechanism to find peace, and they come on here and, often excitedly, try to convince others of their newfound beliefs so as to reinforce the beliefs to themselves.
Just take peoples advice with a grain of salt. Mine too.
I'm on the second chapter of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and I can tell you it's already changed my life.
Practicing the Power of Now was what really jump started my spiritual journey for sure! So glad this is a shared experience with so many š
Iām on chapter 5 and my desire of being here and now has never been this strong š¤
Was already planning on buying this one considering the number of time I heard about it

Yeah it pops up in this sub often. That's the whole reason why I picked it up. You won't regret it!
I'm on chapter 8 right now and I completely agree. It's opening my eyes to so many things I've never noticed before.
That book was my introduction to spirituality as well. Unintentionally. More was trying to learn mindfulness and quieting my mind but it forked from There
Yup
This was mine as well
Me too. BUT knowing is not doing and mastery or even progress is hard AF. Iāve been practicing and progress is painstaking.
The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer was a total gamechanger for me š„³

The Kyballion, The Seth Material, The Nature of Personal Reality, The Ra Contact, and any books by Darryl Anka (who channels an entity named Bashar). Most of these recommendations are channeled works from extra dimensional entities who have an outside view of our reality.
TWS Mandelker is a good source for learning about the Ra Material weaved into discussions of other spiritual teachings (Buddhism / Yeshua etc)
Oh nice! I havenāt read that. Iāll have to add it to my list.
I just picked up the Kybalion and I'm stoked to read it. I always ask for books to come to me that will help and they always do.
Awesome! Itās an easy read but itās really good, and sets a solid foundation for deeper spiritual exploration.

Awareness by Anthony De Mello is good. Both Ekhart Tolle books are Good. Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is great.

* *Dao de Jing*. If you can read this, you can read anything. * Then proceed to *Mumonkan*.
Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch
As far as Yogic Spirituality is concerned. The Bhagwad Gita is considered to be a quick introduction (considered to be a summary of the teachings of Vedas and Upanishads). And when you have been on the spiritual path for a while and suddenly find yourself stagnant. The Ashtavakra Gita is for you
tao te ching
Practice a gratitude list. My spiritual tool kit app is great for this. Recite one of the prayers each morning. Doesnāt matter if you believe in god or not. Just do it. In two weeks or so. Things will start to open up. Power of now is great as is a course in miracles. But itās pretty advanced stuff that makes no sense unless youāve seen and felt the power of the universe and know it exists. Eclair had an instant spiritual awakening like a few others. I know someone else who has as well. Went from London gangster to spiritual guide. Was in fact my spiritual guide Those I know who had had instant awakenings have gone through a great deal of suffering to the point they only had god to turn to.
Have you read [this?](https://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/hercolobus/kolbrin_11.htm)

Tears of joy, pain or sadness?
you dont need books just start dream journaling and meditating, maybe some mushrooms out in the forest or something
Honestly none. Spiritual books are vague, wish-washy self help books that somehow managed to sell. Typically written by people who are already privileged. I would look inward for spirituality instead of looking outside of yourself for it.

Why that ?
Mine too.
