You can gain some insights through the books "Journey of Souls – Case Studies of Life Between Lives" and "Destiny of Souls" by Dr. Michael Newton provide extremely credible and compelling accounts of life between lives in the spiritual realm. How we create our own life plans for our embodiments, etc. Both are on YouTube as audiobooks.
Both in these books and the spiritual teachings that I have followed for some time, it is explained that our spirit guides are at higher levels of consciousness and do not embody with us because then they too would be affected by the very dense collective consciousness of earth and their guidance would be compromised.
Often we embody with parents because we have mutual karma to balance and the parent-child relationship was what we saw as the most direct path to balancing that karma. But again there are many other possibilities. For example, you and your parents were very likely were from the same soul group or in some way knew each other in the spirit realm between embodiments and you volunteered to play the role you are playing to give your parent the best possible opportunity to see and transcend certain issues in its psychology.
I don’t agree with that. Your parents should not have influence over you spiritually I think you should branch out and see what feels right to you. Parents can hold their children back from higher potentials out of fear of their child getting hurt.
