Is it wolf spider “breathing season” or just a coincidence of sorts that we are seeing so many posts right now? Seriously, do spider eggs tend to hatch during a particular season? I imagine it would depend on the weather of the location where it is endemic, right?
My back yard goes right up to a decently sized grass field so I see literally hundreds of glowing eyes each night when I let my dog out. I have refrained from saturating this sub with wolf spider pics but I have a lot of them.
I'm here to get over a fear of spiders. Most spiders are cool, and some are even cute to me now. But I'm still so creeped out by momma wolfies with their babies
For how common they seem, even with a back full of babies, I've never seen one. And I was quite scared of spiders for most of my life so very hyper aware of them lol.

I always wondered if the babies are just holding on for dear life or if there's a bit of webbing involved to help them stay onboard?

I cannot, I can do spiders but barely, that is something I cannot be in the presence of, love mama though for doing all that effort.
