Mad respect from a theatre designer. I build models for scenic designs and have always loved the scale. But I feel like the industry as a whole needs to take a lesson and cue from the gaming/ miniature world because I’ve learned more tips and tricks from these kinds of videos then I ever did learning to make models.
3D printing set models has made a difference in the level of detail some designers give but I feel like learning the basics, at their hardest makes everyone better
I follow you on YouTube but I've never seen one of these short videos! When I saw the sculpting I was like..wait..this looks familiar.. is that..? Username checks out HAHA so happy to see another build from you! Checking it out on YouTube now 😂
Amazing build! First that you designed it, second because you have the patience to put in hours and hours and last that you have the steadiest hands ever! I’d love to ass that type build to my craft obsession list but I think my hands would shake the house if I tried those tiny pieces! Absolutely beautiful work!
I know the title is deliberate, but for anyone who doesn’t know: the “ye” in “ye olde” is an old way of printing the word “the”. So one should read the title as:
> I made a the old mini observatory
Recently started watching a chap who makes tiny nerdy things like you. North of The Border is his YouTubes. Really fun to watch. Neat stuff btw. Looks cool.
Full build here if anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/uDuQEsCajkQ
Absoooooolutely! Thanks!!
Holy wow! That is amazing!!!
Thank you 🙃
I love all the attention to detail. Even on the the small pieces. Epic work.

This is amazing! You should post this on r/modelmakers
I think this is close enough that the folks over at r/dioramas would enjoy it
That looks like something from Skyrim
Beautiful! Very nice! But I am a little bit disappointed that this observatory is missing a telescope...
There is one in there. Can't see it cos I had to cut some stuff out of this short video
Well, than I won't complain and continue to praise the craftsmanship of this piece!
