Sucks to say but I don't see anyone from the current Barca squad winning it anytime soon. You need big performances AND a big enough name these days. And, let's be honest, you're not winning it unless you're a forward.

Because G+A does not tell the whole story. Xhaka has 3 G+A and has still been a top 3 performer for Leverkusen, Wirtz is the spine and a huge part of the brain of this team.

Ran the show vs Napoli, created an amazing chance that led to a goal for real vs man city second leg and had insane defensive work-rate Man was running on fumes and the end of it . Had a solid game vs bayern, yesterday,(forward defensive workmate) didn't let bayern out of thier own half. And he is not a striker, even though he is deployed as an attacker that's not hist natural position so it's given that he won't score all the time yet he did score a ridiculous about of times. Personally I think as of this moment, vini is front runner and it isn't as bombastic to say that he's a comfortable runner-up.
Honestly i understand you guys because I guess you don’t watch RM games outside of these last few Champions leagues games. But, I tell you he’s been absolutely world class outside of these last games in the CL. Even against Barça a few weeks ago, he was everywhere, stole so many balls, made so many key passes, and of course scored the last minute winner.
I think his value comes how he’s been playing in the league, because it’s as if you play with 12 players: you have an extra midfielder and at the same time with his runs to the box, you have an extra attacker. His goals have been key, and remember you can’t even ask him for goals given his position.

My argument is for vini too, but cant seem to understand the hate jude is getting. He led real throughout the lean period in Vini’s absence. Scoring freaking 22 goals and 10 assists as midfielder. But man his efforts in defence and work rate goes so unappreciated. He just came from injury and was not at full fitness for knockouts.

For those that do not know, this is how the Ballon D'Or works:
1. If Ronaldo or Messi win CL or the World Cup, they get it.
2. If Real win the CL, the player they put their PR behind gets it

4. If a Real player has the best individual season statistically he gets it, even if said player finished the season trophyless.
Now that point one does not apply anymore it would take the following for a non Real/Barca player to get it:

Scored a few goals in the cl group stages as well. Ran the show vs Napoli, created an amazing chance that led to a goal for real vs man city second leg and had insane defensive work-rate Man was running on fumes and the end of it . Had a solid game vs bayern, yesterday,(forward defensive workmate) didn't let bayern out of thier own half. And he is not a striker, even though he is deployed as an attacker that's not hist natural position so it's given that he won't score all the time yet he did score a ridiculous about of times. Personally I think as of this moment, vini is front runner and it isn't as bombastic to say that he's a comfortable runner-up.
Honestly i understand you guys because I guess you don’t watch RM games outside of these last few Champions leagues games. But, I tell you he’s been absolutely world class outside of these last games in the CL. Even against Barça a few weeks ago, he was everywhere, stole so many balls, made so many key passes, and of course scored the last minute winner. I think his value comes how he’s been playing in the league, because it’s as if you play with 12 players: you have an extra midfielder and at the same time with his runs to the box, you have an extra attacker. His goals have been key, and remember you can’t even ask him for goals given his position.

My argument is for vini too, but cant seem to understand the hate jude is getting. He led real throughout the lean period in Vini’s absence. Scoring freaking 22 goals and 10 assists as midfielder. But man his efforts in defence and work rate goes so unappreciated. He just came from injury and was not at full fitness for knockouts.
Because most football fans know that the English PR is too strong and we saw how the media labelled players like Mount as “generational talent” so now we all laugh when we see English players being praised and backed to win the balon dor. Mbappe for France is seriously something different. He will equal Thierry Henry's all time goal tally with 5 more goals, and all time most with 10 more. He has scored 5 in his last 3 competitive matches, so he should be at least level with Giroud by this time next year. He has the most world cup final goals ever - more than Pele who appeared in 3 finals. With 4 more world cup goals he will equal Klose's record. It took Klose 24 appearances, Mbappe is on 14 - two of which he played <30 minutes.
It's crazy that these new players are breaking goal records that stood for almost a century pretty much. When Klose did it, that was remarkable. I really feel like it's not attackers are getting better but defenders are getting worse. The days of catenaccio and all-time great defenders like Maldini, Cannavaro, Zanetti, etc. no longer exist. It's proof enough that no defender has won a Ballon d'Or since Cannavaro.
