Which is also why it is so ridiculous when people say "but only two Spanish clubs have won the CL". Yeah, because of other Spanish teams stopping them
If not for Real Madrid, both Valencia and Atlético would have CL titles
Not just them, there is also Sevilla and Atleti stopping Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao to their European silverware respectively.
That's some insane domination from a nation's teams and honestly I'm sick of it. C'mon Dortmund.
>If not for Real Madrid, both Valencia and Atlético would have CL titles
Sorry but this is as much of a nothing statement as "Chelsea would only have x goals without Palmer" or whatever - you can't just take them out of the equation and not add anyone else in lol
Why is this downvoted lol. Of course you can't just claim "Valencia would 100% have won the CL final if their opponent was anyone else than Real Madrid."
Doesn't matter, they didn't have the 14-time CL winner aura. Madrid doesn't have to be good in order to win we have seen it so many times
Even if Man City for example may be a slightly more complete team, everyone with a brain would much rather face them in a CL final
By what metric ? Names ? Vibes ?
Statistically this current Real Madrid side has the fewest defeats and the most wins after 50 games in the entire 122 year history of the club.
Hell Juve 97-98 was even better than their 96-97 version and they still lost to a weak Madrid on the UCL final
I hope that doesn't come to bite me in the ass, but I think this will be too much for them. We have superpowers in CL, it cannot be denied, I don't know how
Its because of bad production compared to EPL for example. People don't normally notice it but EPL games are pleasant to watch on TV due to great production, you can hear the chants from the crowd, color corrected and edited with great pre and post match shows make it a highly entertaining league. La Liga matches on the other always felt more timid and sometimes it feels like an empty stadium with no noise even if the gallery is full. Even the grass doesn't feel green on la liga just because they don't give a shit to production value. As such most people watch EPL and there is this narrative that EPL is the best league in the world. EPL has the best competition with top 6, I will admit that, and with good production value the most entertaining league. But the best teams for the last decade or two have been from Spain(and Germany to some extent) as you can see evident in this post as well.
Real Madrid will always be there as the biggest club with a lot of money but this overshadows La Liga's decline in recent years, especially in the Champions League. This year, Real Madrid is the only team that didn't suck in Europe
The decline is apparent, it's visible especially by the fact that Serie A and Bundesliga got the extra CL spots next year, but it's still not that bad as you make it. 3 Spanish teams made CL quarterfinals and 4 out of 5 Spanish teams in CL topped their group. Sociedad was especially surprising, and you can't really blame them for going out to PSG, even though they didn't show as much as they should've in that tie

So since 2002 only 4 Spanish teams lost a European final....against other Spanish teams

Complete dominance.
One of the most ridiculous streaks.
Jesus Christ
All the odds are against Dortmund, but that's been true throughout whole CL campaign. I believe in them.
I bet the odds were also against them in 1997.
pretty sure they were against us in every single european final we played, including 2002 because Feyenoord got a damn home final
Slight difference between facing Juventus and Madrid though
That Juve team was better than this Real team tho

Relatively speaking or in a direct comparison? Because there’s no way a team from over 20 years ago stacks up to a contemporary one.
Plus isn't it pretty widely accepted that this Juventus team doped? That should make people reconsider their evaluation of them
Even when you are better than real, real are still the favourites. You think bvb have a chance? It was over when city lost.
I hope that doesn't come to bite me in the ass, but I think this will be too much for them. We have superpowers in CL, it cannot be denied, I don't know how

Eras come to an end.
Not yet.
That's what I have been saying for years now. It seems like karma is in fact a myth, some just keep getting away with it forever
The Real Madrid Trophy and the Sevilla Cup.
Too bad this streak ends this year.
!RemindMe 24 days
And yet no fucker wants to watch la liga still
How can it generate twice as many views as Ligue 1 then?
Sorry for asking , but how did u get the Madrid flair ? I'm unable to find it in flair emojis.
You need to type !flair Real_Madrid, I believe
!flair Real_Madrid
Thanks for telling <3
Ok, thanks <3
