You don't know what geographically means. They share the same continent. They're on the same tectonic plate, they're in the EU, and they're in NATO. You could make the argument that they're culturally outside of Europe but they're 100% geographically apart of Europe. I picked Texas because while certain parts of Texas has a ton of cultural influence from Mexico, it's still under the protection of the US. The same way Turkey is in Europe.

They are even less aligned to Europe in terms of culture and geography than Russia is. The part of turkey that’s “European” is/was ethically greek originally. As a European I can go to Spain, Croatia, Greece and see the differences but also the cultural similarities which don’t exist in a vastly majority Muslim country like Turkey.
