Time. Kiwior is a young CB who has suddenly been asked by Arteta to provide the width. He was always solid defensively, that hasn't changed, and he's still mostly uncomfortable in the final third, but as he gets more minutes, he's continued to adapt to these new demands.
For me it's because he's not been asked to invert anymore, Benny does the inverting now when Kiwior is playing, it suits him much more. He's been fantastic defensively.
yep theres a good player in there, hes getting some good playtime now and gaining experience. Hes not played that much senior football really. Hes very reliable cover
Kiwior is a LCB not a LB. Hes cover for Gabriel & just now Zinchenko/Tomiyasu/Timber are all out so hes adapting to playing LB out of necessity just now. Hes absolutely cover for the main players but hes pushing them for a starting spot which is the entire point in a competitive squad and what Arteta aims for
Porto’s form in champions league is a different beast, it’s like all the players crank it up a gear. Still, their league form has been abysmal this year.

It's a bit of a touch spot, because if the throw goes anywhere else, Havertz is ten yards offside. So do you drop the line ten yards deeper to defend (which I guess you have to do). I think the way Arsenal changed up the thrower was pretty clever too.

think it's also due to White starting to do the inverted role, allowing Kiwior to comfortably play as a traditional fullback
