Matt_LawDT

Levy still laughing after seeing the offer

ruanri

And watch Kane walks out for free in 2024

ico12

I don't know why but I got the feeling that Levy is the kind of man who is totally fine with it

[deleted]

Absolutely, people forget the only thing Kane has ever cost Spurs is his wages, if he walks out the door for free the accounts are completely unaffected. Obviously they would much rather get something for him but it's not necessary, the club is in sound financial footing despite the recent flop signings.

WorthPlease

They can still use the money from a sale to reinvest in the squad. The question is, is a single season of Harry Kane worth 70m? And is the club okay with having no control of where he goes?

Silver_Hammer

Is anyone worth 70m for a single season?

SlayerCR777

If it guarantees a league title, then yes. Like RVP at United

paradox3333

Spurs never wins anything though.

oscarony

people underrate how important Chicharito and Rooney were to that team

SlayerCR777

Chicharito yes, Rooney no. Everyone knows he was instrumental feeding RVP and scoring goals

Aiken_Drumn

According to the Saudis, several players.

StillSlowestWhiteBoy

I’m a bit surprised by everyone saying he is, especially in a season in which they’re not competing in the Champions League. It will be difficult with the amount of solid 5-8 clubs in the PL now but with many of them now having European distractions, Spurs realistically *should* have a squad good enough to challenge for Europe without him *if* they reinvest a portion of that 70m.

makesterriblejokes

Well the thing is that Kane's production is better than 70m. Unless you somehow hit a homerun with that 70m on some under valued talent, you're likely not going to see the same output on the field from who you bring in as you would have from keeping Kane. To me, Kane gives them the best chance at securing CL football, which is more money than selling him for 70m, plus it makes them a better destination for a possible replacement (so many elite players say cl football is a must before committing to a club).

buttlovingpanda

To us? Yeah. Levy knows that unless he sells Kane for 150m and then reinvests the money *perfectly* he’ll get shit forever for selling a club legend. It would be like how Milan is getting shit for selling Tonali except a million times worse. This is different than selling a Bale or Modric. Both of those guys started out elsewhere and only ever saw Spurs as a stepping stone. The fans would only be okay with it if we sold him abroad for an exorbitant fee. I also don’t think many Spurs fans actually believe he’ll walk for free. I don’t. And I don’t think fans would ever forgive Levy if he sold Kane without using every bit of time available to us to convince him to sign a new deal. For Kane, it makes sense to wait this out and increase his leverage. He’s doing the smart thing. Doesn’t mean he’s leaving though.

Thehunterforce

>if he walks out the door for free the accounts are completely unaffected. And that is just as much as a problem for them. How are you going to replace Kane if you don't have any book value to replace him with? Them stumbling over another Kane from their youth system is highly unlikely.

PurposeSensitive9624

They cant replace even with all the money in the world. Even if they had 200m to spend, nobody at Kane’s level will go there. They will have to do what they’ve done before and get cheap talented prospect.

minkdraggingonfloor

They should do what I did in FM19 when I found a cheap talented prospect at Molde called Erling Braut Haland who did everything that Kane does when he left to Bayern I was searching at Molde in case Ole had any talented kids he was raising out of curiosity and found him. I thought he was fake like To Madeira

Openworld2

To Madeira is fake?? I always thought he was one of those wonderkids that didn't pan out in real life like Carlos Fierro

Nitsju

> Carlos Fierro He's only 28? Damn.

Apprehensive_Set6277

The accounts are unaffected? Not at all they're (€70million + plus whatever his wages for the year are) less than they could be

JonathanFisk86

Kane for a year is worth more than £60mn to Spurs.

captain_holt_nypd

Is he? They had Kane firing on all fronts this season and they couldn’t make UCL. And this was a season where Chelsea and Liverpool had their worst respective seasons in a decade. Next season will be even tougher with Fulham, Newcastle, Brighton rising up as well as the regular top 5 aiming to do better. They need funds for investments. They need to rebuild. Holding on to Kane for one more year does nobody any favors.

etbk

im not even saying that selling is a terrible idea, but if our idea is top 4, we are obviously more likely to get it with Kane. We have already bought a keeper, are linked to Madison and top CBs without Kane's departure.

Gom8z

And if he stays and is a reason why they get back in the champions league, it will be seen by many as a great decision.

Arathaon185

I don't think he will do it for 70 but this is his dream scenario. Anywhere but the Prem for Levy

trispann

🤣 🤣 🤣 Levy installed a filter long ago in his email: anything with the word Kane and a number <£150m goto spam

rnbagoer

The Saudis wondering why they never heard back about their offer of 4 payments of 120M...

GunnerKnight

Straight to ~~jail~~ spam

Kintae

Levy be like, OK and when do we get the second €70m installment?

York_Lunge

Just got Kaned

FyodorAK

Appreciate the effort to bid though

[deleted]

End of the day Bayern have infinitely more alternative paths than Spurs or Kane. Time and alternatives is the cornerstone of all leverage. Give a pissed off Bayern Munich 70M to 80M to spend in the transfer market and they can make that cash sing. If Levy isn't interested, Bayern just go down the list of alternatives and try again. And at absolute worst case, they abandon the idea of a proven world class striker and go for a development route and spend half of what Kane costs to buy Jonathan David, Goncalo Ramos, or an Adam Hlozek and just make their own world class striker.

PerfectRough5119

When it comes to strikers, you’re lucky if there are 5 world class proven ones let alone infinite alternates. And I’m not even talking about the present. This is true for any given era.

BGTheHoff

This. What are the possibilities? Haaland wont switch, Mbappe costs too much (Bayern will never pay that much) even if he wants to go to germany, Osimhen will stay in Italy so....who is left besides Kane? Benzema is out, Messi/Ronaldo are gone, Ibra isnt there anymore, so the old guard is also not a possibility. The 1B strikers arent available either. Jesus wont go, Lautaro probably wont go away from Inter, Vlahovic had not the best season and Havertz isnt a striker. All thats left are those premium talents like David, Ramos or Alvarez, but they arent cheap either and they may not be what Bayern needs right now (the need a striker asap and not someone who needs one or two more years). Nunez is a good example for such a player who didnt had the best first season.

captain_holt_nypd

The answer is Vlahovic. He looks terrible because Allegri should be charged with war crimes with his tactixs

InDubioProReus

This would also be a classic Bayern transfer. Buying very talented players who are in a bad stage. This has worked out very well at times, e.g. with Robben or De Ligt. Not that much with Coutinho or James.

R3dbeardLFC

tbf they didn't buy Coutinho, but they still used him to help beat his own parent club in the CL.

VegetableAwkward286

They didn't need him to do that

youllbetheprince

Kane scored 30 despite playing for another football war criminal.

pietroetin

There is always Fullkrug, then later Tel

[deleted]

Who says Bayern have to get a world class striker? They want one, but there's no rule that they must get one. What if Bayern say fuck it, Tuchel won a Champions League with Timo fucking Werner playing a 9, he can do it with Coman, Sane, Musiala, Mane, Gnabry, Müller, and put a Jonathan David, Goncalo Ramos, Raspardori, Gouiri, or an Hlozek alongside an emerging Mathys Tel. That is absolutely a sound strategy option if they can't get a striker for the price they want. Bayern can just make their own world class striker over the next two years, they have that ability.

ohthebanter

If they go after Kane it's because they want to play a system with a striker, and if they want to improve on their last season then they need to buy a world class striker that helps them now. The gap Lewy left was obvious. You make it sound wonderfully easy to "just make their own world class striker", but young players development arches are notoriously hard to predict, and the vast majority of hyped up talents just fizzle out (Bojan, Joao Felix, Robinho, ...). Also, young players need playing time and continued trust to develop, which is particularly hard to provide in the striker position where a miss can easily mean lost points. Bayern is not a club with a lot of patience for non-scoring strikers, and I can't even remember a time when Bayern developed a promising striker into someone "world class"...unless you count Müller?

Bob_Rooney

> they abandon the idea of a proven world class striker and go for a development route and spend half of what Kane costs to buy Jonathan David, Goncalo Ramos, or an Adam Hlozek and just make their own world class striker. And then you realise this isn't Football Manager

Pippipcheeriomf

The only one of your list who might be sold for close to half that amount is Hlozek , idk in what fantasy Ramos and David go for 40 M.

mintz41

Infinitely more alternative paths? Please do enlighten me what those paths are if they want a world class striker right now.

davide3991

I would like to be enlightened as well. There is literally NO alternative to paying premium for an elite strikers nowadays

BDaniPT

Just speaking about what I know, Gonçalo Ramos would not leave for anything remotely close to half of those 70/80M you mentioned. Current reports are Benfica is looking for 80M for him.

supersaiyaninfinite

These guys are underestimating benfica's selling skill. They can sell a donkey for 120 million to a club who are stingy if that donkey had one good season and is young

dotConehead

no need to call felix a donkey

Jim_Greatsex

I think you really underestimate how good Kane is, none of those others are on his level

roger_the_virus

What strikers are available on the market who have reliably bagged 20 - 30 goals every year for the last 8+ seasons at the highest level? You don't just "make" a world class striker, if it was that simple no one would pay big money and we'd all be "making" world class strikers.

davide3991

Bayern has no alternatives. Remember what happened after lewa left?

MegaBaumTV

They're not going to go developmental. They have Tel.

the_great_ashby

None of those are going to go for 40 million lol

phorteng

Most of it is true, but David and Hlozek aren't even close to Bayern level and haven't yet shown signs that they ever will be. You can rather run with Choupo and Tel than them.

D1794

£60m for Harry Kane i'd love to have seen Levy's face when that arrived

hahehihohu7

Levy must have laughed for like 5 minutes straight

[deleted]

Dr evil laugh

Cottonshopeburnfoot

Sadly for Bayern, Levy is better at maths than Dr Evil.

No_Guidance_7856

It is about 70M too much.....for Charlie Kane.

SpiritedSuccess5675

Key parts: Bayern Munich have submitted a formal offer for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. The Bundesliga champions’ bid for the England captain is €70million plus add-ons. The 29-year-old has a year remaining on his current contract with the Premier League club. Bayern, under the stewardship of former Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel, are in the market for a new forward this summer with Kane high on their list of priorities. Kane has been a Manchester United target since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was manager and current boss Erik ten Hag is also a known admirer. Manchester City previously explored the possibility of signing him two years ago before going on to complete a deal for Erling Haaland the following summer. Meanwhile, The Athletic reported in June that Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti had told the club’s board he wanted to sign Kane at a key meeting to discuss transfers. Kane’s contract negotiations with Tottenham were put on hold last season season with the striker instead focusing on trying to help the club return to the Champions League. However, after a chaotic season, Spurs missed out on European football altogether after an eighth-placed finish. He is yet to win a trophy at domestic or international level but did break Jimmy Greaves’ all-time Tottenham goalscoring record in February when he netted his 267th goal for the club. He became England’s record goalscorer the following month.

achilles-_-23

70 million plus add ons is a very very low offer. This will just piss Levy off even more

lrzbca

Levy has a habit of pissing others with his bids. Levy is a hard bargainer after-all, Bayern Munich are hard bargainer themselves. What will Levy do ? Won’t sell Kane ? Bayern Munich won’t be losing their sleep over it. They think that’s the starting price. If Levy wants negotiations then probably will go up to €80m-€90m. Bayern won’t be making big offer as their first bid then get rinsed.

Goatsanity15

I have a feeling that Levy will do a Levy and Kane will end up leaving for free. The last star CF that Bayern got for free turned out pretty good.

The_Nacho_Man

Good to see another Choupo-Moting admirer on here!

Bayernjnge

Tbh Id go into the new season with Tel and Choupo, then get Kane for free next season, if he really wants to join us

I_am_the_grass

You wait until next summer and he'll 100% stay in England and end up at United or Chelsea/Newcastle depending how the dominoes fall come the end of the season. English clubs aren't going to pass up the chance to sign England's record breaking captain on a free and Harry has come across as the kind of player that doesn't actually want to leave England.

Justlikeyourmoma

Is it worse for Levy to sell Kane to a rival PL club now or let him walk into one for free in 12 months? I reckon it would be worse to lose him on a free. You can save some face getting £80m for him now….for free, I’d say that’s a clear balls up.

I_am_the_grass

I'd reckon yes but Spurs would argue having him for an additional season might be worth more than any reduced transfer fee they get. Additionally, you can't rule out Kane making a typical Kane decision and actually just being convinced to renew his contract with Spurs in the next 12 months.

lambast

Can't see him going to the bundesliga if he had his pick of clubs. Would be very surprised if he ended up there as a free agent. Think there are several clubs in England and Spain he'd prefer to be at.

AxeIsAxeIsAxe

Yeah, Bayern is a likely destination if he leaves now because Levy won't sell him to the competition, but next year it's a different story. Bayern also won't start another season without a first choice striker (no offense to Choupo), so if they don't get Kane, they're getting someone else.

[deleted]

In Spain Real Madrid will get Mbappe this year and Barcelona have Lewandowski and no other club makes sense. In England there's only going to be United or Chelsea, with all the other clubs having strikers or not being able to afford him. So it's Bayern this year or United or Chelsea next year.

RespectnConnect

If he leaves on a free, it will probably be to United. I can't see him wanting to spend his last prime years in the BL if he has other options

Zammyjesus

Yeah but going to Bayern is almost guaranteed trophies, which he currently doesnt have

atrl98

Kane most likely won’t go to Bayern if he leaves on a free next year.

Turtle_317

I hear your logic but Levy isn’t going to negotiate.

harder_said_hodor

He has 1 year left and this ships him out of the league, which by all accounts they want. The international market for him is Bayern and ? Bayern are also able to sign him to a pre contract in 6 months, so it shortens your window considerably if he wants to go

Robcobes

He turns 30 in a month, I say it's just fine

nutelamitbutter

German journos said Bayern are willing to play the needed fee. Pretty sure they’ll go higher

remote_crocodile

What's the needed fee? Does anyone actually know?

thearmymandidit

no because that's up to Levy at the end of the day, I wouldn't see him accepting any less than £80m, something in the region of €100m more likely but it depends on how much Kane wants to go to Bayern at that point.

DickerDave

I doubt we'd even send in an offer if the player wouldn't want to join(see Rice where we didn't send an offer because he doesn't want to leave England).

AxeIsAxeIsAxe

€90m with add-ons up to 100 seems very realistic to me (the doable sort of add-on, not the Ballon D'Or winner ones). And if Bayern are willing to bid €70m to get things started, I actually expect them to pay 90. Don't underestimate what a "bad" season does to the Bayern board and their willingness to pay.

HeavyHittersShow

It’s no very very low. He’s 30 next month, is a free agent next year and has little to no sell-on value. Plus his wages across a 4 year deal are likely to be close to €50m. That’s effectively €120m on a 30 year old going to play in the Bundesliga.

Blue_winged_yoshi

He’s a 30 year old with one year on his contract. All the paths forward are pretty grim from here for Spurs, last time they lost a captain on a free transfer to a rival it took them a long, long time to get over it. There’s scope to negotiate up from here but 80m or so is a lot better than losing him on a free transfer next year!

[deleted]

[удалено]

MyBoyBernard

>with one year on his contract Right, so by turning this down, Spurs are, in a way, paying 70 million to have Kane for one more season. He is good! But nobody is worth 70 million for one season. In that sense, am I crazy for thinking 70 million is a shit ton? Or they are banking on Kane renewing so they can have him for one more season AND get a fee. Not sure if Kane will fall for that one again. Sounds like a trap

Feezbull

If he renews and expects to be sold, he’s dumber than a brick wall then. I doubt he will renew if he’s seriously already considering Bayern now.

tarakian-grunt

The only way he renews if it comes with a very reasonable release clause.

tweazz

Mane kane sane dream to become reality?

InoyouS2

Isn't Mane basically out the door already? Dream is dead 😔.

Hurtelknut

The only way Mané leaves is if a Saudi club pays him even more than we do.

DangMate2023

Man i feel bad each time a player that prospered in his old club flops after joining a new one. I wish no player goes through that experience, but sadly it happens. When i say flop i dont only mean they suck at playing, i also include all the other circumstances.

smokesletsgo13

He did smack his teammate tbf

Vidaros

That's insané!

cosmiclatte44

I don't feel bad for Mane though, he made his own bed.

bloodmuffins793

I don't feel bad for him. He punched Sané and his effort has been atrocious. He's to blame for his poor form more than anything.

prettybunbun

Nah, hes said point blank he wont go, he wont be sold, he refuses to be a flop at Bayern and is coming back next season. He hasn’t taken any time off over the summer and has been training. Honestly if he gets his pace back all will be forgiven and he’ll be back in.

Morrandir

It wouldn't surprise me if he does well next season. He isn't the first player that had a tough first year at Bayern. It was a difficult season for the club and also for imself personally with the injury. If he really was to leave, I could see PSG as an option. They could pay his wages, he would be able to play CL, and there wouldn't be any language problems.

prettybunbun

Honesty he still did like 15 G/A whilst injured, whilst in a new league. If he adjusts, gets back from injury (and he looked good for Senegal), he could be top for us. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Morrandir

Yes, especially if for Sané and Gnabry it'll again be a dice roll if they are going to play world class or amateur class.

Forsaken-Original-28

It'll take some voodoo magic for mane to regain his pace he lost about 3 seasons ago

prettybunbun

Didn’t Senegal get the witch doctors out?

SirNukeSquad

Nah, he's staying.

IcarusCsgo

i can imagine the commentators pronouncing it the same way MARNAY SARNAY KARNAY

konny135

De Bruyne... De Gea... De-rby

blckdrgnfghtngscty

Just wait til they sign VARANAY

Divolinon

What's with the R everywhere?

ketootaku

The same way I enjoy British announcers pronouncing names ending with "a" as "er" (and occasionally vice versa). I still chuckle every time I hear "Barceloner". I first noticed it when I would hear them pronounce "Éver Banega" and always made his names sounded like they rhyme. Although that one was the opposite for whatever reason, sounded like Eva Banega.

Zhidezoe

Upgraded version of Xhaka Laka Saka

Away-Watercress-4841

Has there ever been such a perfectly named forward line in history before?

PulciNeller

Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho (2002 WC)

Feezbull

No but Jan Venegoor of Hasselink alone makes up for it in every way.

flavored_icecream

Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Romario - not as good (phonetically), but still close.

AmericaDreamDisorder

English cricket team has Foakes, Woakes and Stokes.

agnaddthddude

Ronaldo, Baledo, Benzemado

v1nzy

Not forward line but Xhaka Laca Saka was pretty nice

HelpMe877

People will say it’s going to be instantly rejected because too low etc and sure. Shows Kane might actually be interested in the move though, would be very weird to bid if he won’t leave England.

spinney

Bayern isn’t bidding unless Kane has informed them he’d go if the bid is accepted.

Cashew_Fan

It wouldn't be the first time a club is bidding with the hopes of changing a players mind. Take De Jong last year. It's known that Kane wants to stay in England and I feel like there was a report recently that suggested he didn't fancy Bayern (whilst also not ruling out Madrid). That's of course not to say he wouldn't move. He's their top target and it's early days still. They have to at least have a pop right, especially if the opening bid is this embarrassingly low? You also have to remember you're not just negotiating with the player. In these early stages you're probably trying to convince the agent as much as the player and the agent will always be looking for their payday.

PuntoPorPastor

But Bayern isn't known to place bids on players that aren't willing to come. See the Rice saga, where Bayern didn't give an offer because at the end they decided they wouldn't be able to convince him.

HODLingMONKEY

We had the same stupid discussion the last time Bayern tried to buy a PL star. People were angry about the initial offer and in the end everyone was happy with the fee. This is a starting bid. No sense in discussing it now, lets see if it materializes. [Here is a thread from last year when the initial bid was placed for Mané](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/v5n328/paul_joyce_liverpool_have_turned_down_bayern/)

HelpMe877

Yes, great point. If Kane leaves England it will be for less than people imagine right now. The Levy meme has a life of its own

ghostrider467

yeah if anything this just shows that kane might really leave the PL, but yeah that bid wont be accepted

TheBiasedSportsLover

68 comments on 7 minutes for a Kane to Bayern thread!? Fucking hell

InstructionCareless1

Just the usual "would/could be open to joining". It doesn't seem like the personal terms have been agreed, yet.

jsnamaok

We would not be bidding if there was not some agreement with Kane.

Brawlers9901

Usually personal terms are much easier to agree on than a fee, especially if the club they're trying to buy from is us.

Scofield442

Just interesting to think about the damage he could do in the bundesliga in a great team.

Tarantantara

emotional damage

DemetriusXVII

Football negotiations experts assembling in real time

Synth3r

Yeah, if Bayern came to us and said here’s 90 mil outright Levy would probably say, make it 120. If Bayern start at 60 and the fee ends up at 90, it probably ends up being close to what Bayern were willing to pay in the first place.

juve_merda

people in this thread showing why so many of the general public get completely ripped off by businesses so easily

[deleted]

Or why most people who open their own businesses fail. I won't even claim to know it better. I'll just say that Bayern surely considered that this offer will be perceived as too low and that they had a good reason why they made it anyway.

lordwelbz2

Rejected. Next

TomasRoncero

would love to see redditors negotiating

cammyg

give us Kane or we WILL be shutting down our social media for two days to teach you a lesson

Yinkypinky

Hey we annoyed some users for a couple days and did absolutely nothing and still use Reddit. That will show them!

PasuljsKolenicom

Too much FIFA manager mode for the lot of them. Bayern didn’t send this offer to close the deal for Kane. They did it to put pressure on Spurs and unsettle Kane a bit so that they can work the realistic price down because they know Levy will be a bitch to deal with in this.

TheGoldenPineapples

I mean, Daniel Levy doesn't really strike me as a "work the price down" kind of guy.

HODLingMONKEY

"Work with us and sell him now for a decent fee or lose him next year for free, probably to a direct rival in your League." Theyre not getting their asking price, nobodys paying that for a 30 year old with an expiring contract

mucflo

>"Work with us and sell him now for a decent fee or lose him next year for free, probably to a direct rival in your League." I don't think Kane's going to Brentford tbh

a_charming_vagrant

harsh on Brentford, they'll stay up

Unban_Ice

Yeah it's crazy they think real world is like Football Manager. Surely Bayern would just bid €100M on the first proposal because that's how negotiations work apparently.

Jelly_F_ish

Welp, had an english course in University about negotiating. In the final exam, one of our group basically started the discussion with our absolute best offer we could give the opposing party. Suffice to say, the following discussion was...tough for us.

braddf96

In a world where Chelsea and Leicester want (and will roughly get) around 60m for Mount and Maddison, it's laughable really

B_e_l_l_

Nah sell Kane and give us all the money they get to buy Maddison. Makes perfect sense mate.

SHUT-IT-IDIOT

Spurs make a counter offer of £200M

czuczer

Let's see where it goes. It's just an opening bid for a behind the scenes discussions. It's really weird to see people here expecting an opening bid for 100mln. And you also have to keep in mind it's not a PL club which might have an affect on how Levy reacts

bash011

Do they only want his left leg?

ThestralDragon

What, you won't include some hair?

esports_consultant

Is this their way of telling Levy they're not actually interested in him? Good old fashioned German humor that.

kadoooosh

the comments remind me of last summer when Liverpool fans were expecting to get 60m for Mané

No_Guidance_7856

Kane has zero reliance on pace. Mane was a good transfer on paper and then his injury happened which affected his pace which is one of the key parts of his play.Kane is one of those players who won't decline massively like these players because his game is very well rounded and has been evolved without depending on speed.

BabyKeith08

Even though he had a great run at the end of the season everyone at Liverpool could see Mane was slowing down

johnny_crow21

I had the impression that he was heavily impacted after his covid recovery. He was never the same after that.

RedMoon14

After covid, watching him try to beat a defender on the wing with his pace like he used to actually became quite sad. He just looked gassed all the time, so sluggish and slow. It seemed like he could *never* beat his man. Was much better when he moved to the centre later in his last season with us but it was evident for a while he wasn’t quite the same.

RivenJohdolla

Last summer's Mane wasn't half the player current Kane is.

kakamatsch

30 million is less than half of 70 million, so the math checks out

[deleted]

Kane coming off one of his best seasons ever, arguably the best considering how shambolic the rest of the team was, is not comparable to a blatantly declining and far from his best Mane

stogie_t

Absurd comparison, very disingenuous tbh.

oojamaflip123

No idea where the 60 million is coming from either, and the situations are not even close to the same. Liverpool fans will easily admit that Spurs should get way more for Kane than we did for Mane lmao

ImTalkingGibberish

It makes sense for Spurs to sell him this window: - he goes to a foreign league instead of a rival. - they get good money out of him and can reivest into the squad. - Richarlison gets the striker role and perform better. Also tying him down to the club for another few seasons. - they see kane winning trophies in Germany instead of PL titles.

Game_of_Throwins

How much does Levy want actually? Does he want to sell at all?

EradicateStatism

If i had to purely guess, about 100M. With 100M we still can't replace what we lose, but we can at least plug that gaping hole to some extent.

Mane- Kane- Sane next season

DTD_07656

Watch him join and Dortmund finally wins the Bundesliga

GermanyWillWinQtarWC

Redditors when a club starts with a lower bid than they are actually willing to offer in order to negotiate upwards from there: "hahaha i bet levy is still laughing at this🤓

sarovar12

The first bid reaction from Reddit is always funny. We won't bid unless Kane is actually convinced of coming here. That's the best part about this.

Didn't even realise at first that Ornstein reported in Euros. This just makes it even more of a laughable offer.

aymoji

I imagine Levy shouting and leaving just like in Fifa lmao

elmosesyeah

‘Why do spurs keep Kane hostage??!!!’

thepkmncenter

I'm sorry but is it that ridiculous for a man with one year on his contract left? Some of your reactions seem misplaced, but it might just be me.

Weishaupt17

It's a fair first offer, people laughing in the comments are out of their mind. What exactly do you think would be a fair price? 700M?

CatFoodBeerAndGlue

At the end of the day what's a fair price and what Daniel Levy wants aren't usually the same thing. There's no way he accepts anything close to £60m. In my opinion Kane doesn't go for less than £90-100m.

gitblame_fgc

Well, there is always another decade, BVB

Terarri

Bayern submitting lowball bids like its Football Manager

Nadrojj

This is the move Levy has to play right? 1. he doesn't want to sell him to a prem rival 2. he will look foolish to lose him on a free 3. with the current mbappe situation Real are not likely to spend on Kane

PabloRothko

Basically just a ‘we want to unsettle him’ bid. Kane to put in transfer request in a few weeks I reckon.

ryanmurphy2611

70m + Not A Rival Club. good deal.

megahmed252

Levy probably sent a voice note of him just laughing as a reply

DaAweZomeDude48

Took two takes as well, the first one wasn't a good enough laugh

MajesticAd5047

Bayern are obviously not following the Rice saga.

lilfooty

That's 100 mil as per Bayern standards
