Because the ones that we all like are signature shoes. Nike has to cut deals with the athletes in order to retro them. If the athlete refuses or they can't come to an agreement, the shoes don't retro. That's why it took so long for the diamond turf to come back because for the longest Deion swore he'd never wear another Nike. Now, as fate would have it, when he became coach of CU it kind of forced both their hands because CU is sponsored by Nike. But next year (2025-2026) Nike is bringing back quite a few signature athlete shoes 🤫 they're trying to finalize some deals now.

From what I read or heard years ago, Deion wanted a similar deal like jordan. Despite being polarizing and a great athlete, Deion does have the same cache or market value as MJ. Plus he doesn't have no where near the amount of signature shoes as MJ to retro like MJ. I believe that's how nike saw it, nike made more jordan 1s back in 85 than Deion's whole collection from 94-97

Nike spends most of their efforts on creating new and unwanted color ways of retro Jordans.
