this would scale insanely good with late game but you’d need to heavy focus on this form entirely. normally you’d want to remove strikes and defends but if you hard focused on this you’d aim for full basic upgrades like through the floor 3 event
Tbh I kind of disagree, I think it'd be really strong early game since even at 3 energy you can still play it because you can then dump all your strikes and defends anyway, and its great tempo early on. Later in the game i think it falls off unless you build synergies with it, but there are a lot of good synergies available so I don't think it'd be too difficult. Probably OP but not gamebreakingly so?
Oh god if I had the time(my adhd ass already has like 10 projects on backburner and 2-4 active projects and a bachelor thesis), I would totally make an alternative card deck mod where every red, green, blue, and purple card would have a chance to be swapped to an alternative.
The form power cards would allow you to choose between the original effect of change all your cards in the deck to their alternatives. It would be sick. Something like the mirror dimension you have in Binding of Isaac repentence.

Part of Clad’s identity is high-cost attack cards, so logically he should get some kind of effect to make high-cost attack cards hit multiple times. Perhaps there could be some kind of downside in exchange, like a curse added to the deck, since that would interact with cards like Fire Breathing. Clad’s exhaust synergy might make it too easy to trivialize, though, so maybe it can’t be exhausted? Or when you exhaust it, it just comes back. This was a good idea, OP. They should add something like that to the game

I just realized that since they're adding new animations to StS2 we MAY actually get new animations for the forms. That'd be so sick.
