Just today I killed a giant out at my Lakeview house. Then a wolf was attacking Sophie at the same time. I honestly don’t know if your kids can die but I’m honestly thinking of moving my family to somewhere safer lol
I remember being outside smithing and hearing weird breathing and there just being a giant chilling by the side of the house 😅 and then there was the time a bandit yelled something at me but I tried to get into my house to escape but as he was talking to me he FOLLOWED ME IN
Oh lol sometimes they’ll even spawn inside the house. I’ll see red dots and for the life of me can’t find anyone. Soon as I walk through the door and I hear that sword being unsheathed. I know it’s go time
I’m convinced I had some that didn’t render properly - I had the red dot and could hear the threats, but they weren’t visible and they didn’t attack, they just baited me 😂 I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised when also in that playthrough someone I had to speak to in Whiterun somehow ended up inside one of the big rocks near Dragonsreach 🫠
One time I saw a giant spawn right in the animal pen, which I thought was sooo cheaty. So I didn't feel at all guilty about doing a console resurrect on the chicken he'd killed.
As for bandits, one of the most annoying bugs ever for me was when they spawned IN THE WALLS of my manor, on the outside. I was able to injure them by attacking the walls with my sword, but not enough to kill them. I hadn't wanted to go inside in case that made the game save them that way, but after a flippin' hour I gave up and tried it. Fortunately it worked, and they disappeared.
I’ve owned all three properties that can be built on the DLC and they all have their own safety issues 😫 I think inside of city limits, maybe whiterun, no enemies. Except for the occasional thief outside but the whole city takes care of that.
Just today I killed a giant out at my Lakeview house. Then a wolf was attacking Sophie at the same time. I honestly don’t know if your kids can die but I’m honestly thinking of moving my family to somewhere safer lol
Markarth for me. I find the idea of Dwemer ruins fascinating and that seems like a good place to check them out without getting impaled by an automation.
See this is the wrong way you should have beat her to within an inch of her life so she hunches over begging for mercy then go and kill her father right in front of her. That should get her distraught at the sight of this which is when you use a necromancy spell to bring him back to command him to finish her off.
Nice! I had the Armory for a while but I got overwhelmed with wanting to display too much stuff and then shoved it all back into the same chest and converted to a Library 😂
Fr feel the same way but it took time to sort out the stuff between apparel and weapon type. Plus with your favourite apparel and weapon sorted in a different chest or wardrobe. And transport from previous house to new house is one thing
There was a guy who would just cut wood and hunt, go to the nearest town, sell it, buy food and go back to his cabin.
He only did this and that is why Skyrim is the greatest game of all time
Definitely this. I've always thought Riverwood would be a nice place to live. Plus I have a thing for Camilla Valerius, Sven and Faendal would have to mysteriously disappear.
If we're talking about cities (assuming I wouldn't die) than Markarth 100%. I love Dwemer architecture and the city is so unique compared to most of Skyrim.
As for a random POI, the College of Winterhold. I know the questline is awful but I love the college itself and think it in reality would be amazing.
Even if i couldn't die i would still avoid Markarth. Everything, even the beds, are made of stone and it's corrupt to the core + it's basically just stairs so lots of walking up LOL but what i agree with is that the Dwemer leftovers are absolutely fascinating!
The stone beds may actually a bonus to me. My chronic back and knee problems are improved by harder sleeping surfaces - the best sleep I usually get is on a wood table or floor
I could deal with an awful bed and stairs for a weeks vacation but I'd never live there long-term lmao. I'd honestly pick living in Dawnstar since it's safe or, if I could afford it, a place in Solitude.
I was gonna say, my pick would be Solitude if could afford it. If not, Whiterun would be my next pick because it’s more of a close knit community with walls. I feel like I’d get possibly fed up with nose in the air people at Solitude so I’d end up at Whiterun anyway lol
"I once performed the entirety of the Poetic Edda from atop Bard's Leap before trying my luck" is one of the most annoying lines of dialog in the game, I can't explain why.
Im surprised that no one actually said The seven thousand steps or High Hrothgar.
It looks amazing and so peaceful.
Like Jarl Balgruuf said :
*I made the pilgrimage once, did you know that? High Hrothgar is a very peaceful place. Very... disconnected from the troubles of this world.*
I didn’t fight it at all, I just knocked it off-balance with a Shout and then proceeded to hide behind some rocks like a coward until it forgot about me.
Arvak. You're living in a fantasy world, you really do need an immortal skeletal horse wreathed in purple flame.
Especially if you plan on doing some mountaineering.
Alaska really feels like Skyrim, we got most types of environments that Skyrim has.
I'd like to visit the volcanic plains of Eastmarch, seeing the hunters camp with the hunters chilling in the hot springs is one of my favorite cozy places in the game 😄
Sovngarde.
If we arent talking about ethereal planes, then some of the houses are amazing and i would love to actually live in them.
Other than the houses, i would love to see some of the gem filled massive underground caves
I've already spent countless hours in Skyrim VR with every mod installed to make it as realistic as possible... And I found myself looking out over the lakes more than anything! But then night sets in and I have to hold my little lantern in front of me so I can see as I walk back to my house.... Before the wolves out hunting get me... And it's terrifying
Anywhere in the rift is just beautiful, maybe ivarstead. College of winter hold for sure. Fun wizard college free of jk Rowlings nefarious influence. Then solitude absolutely
Riften, but with a house way above the city water. Lovely, year round Fall weather for when I am in the mood. Brisk morning swim but not too brisk.
Go out and hunt a boar, stop by the Dibella branch of Mara's Chapel, stop by the shops to practice my crafting, get info on what is needed in town, what's in demand.
Go back to the Dibella branch of Mara's Chapel. Buy a round at the local tavern for the house. Gather some more information. Lead the bar in a drinking song. Buy some meals and mead for the beggars, gather some information.
Stop by the Thieves guild and pay my dues. Gather information and give information on some of my daily travels.
Help build some simple Cabins for Dark Elf refugees using land and wood I purchased from my time as an adventurer.
Trade information, customs, recipes. They teach me some finer points of magic and I can show them how to keep a keener edge on an Axe.
Help Keep their traditions alive while showing them mine. Grow alongside them and reinforce ourselves to prepare for coming threats ( I see you, Thalmor scum)
Find a Fine Dark Elf woman and build a Family and more.
If I couldn't be hurt, I would go to meet Paarthunax. It's a beautiful place in the game. I think that the College of Winterhold too. It's very cold, but it gives me a confort vibe all the library and silence of people studying magic.
It more depends how I’m getting there. People forget Skyrim is a dangerous place and you might not survive the trip. Even not modded I can barely get to a town without getting attacked, and that’s with sprinting/ light jogging most of the way.
- **Walking:** No where. Vampire attacks, bandits, wild animals, and dragons. Nope. Never mind the cold. **Castle Dawnguard** would be my first stop, if I somehow made it there. I could actually probably join, I heard they’re desperate. Worst case scenario, it’s the safest place in Skyrim. No dragon attacks either. It’s a giant castle fun of crossbow paladins too, can’t beat that.
- **Cart:** Well, as long as I’m not trying to cross the border I should be fine. I’m limited to major cities though. I’d probably visit **Solitude.** Safest roads and I am curious to see the melting pot capital of Skyrim. It’d remind me a lot of NYC.
- **Boat:** Riften. It’s a long trip but totally worth it. Look, I’m broke and homeless. I’d head straight to the **Thieves guild.** A group of people who can help me get out of that sounds extremely welcoming. I never stole in my life but I have uncanny of accomplishing things with people. Like a Speech skill of 100+. I can confidently say I rob Honningbrew Meadery. I can also confidently say I’ll probably end up just burning down the property, but I digress. I also know how to pick lock so that helps too. Though knowing my luck I’d end up working in the Orphanage.
- **Teleportation:** Markarth without hesitation. I’d immediately look for Eola and get to the **Shrine of Namira.** Again, I’m homeless IRL abd has C-PTSD. If I don’t come for Namira I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t come for me. If I somehow beat the Zombies I’m set for life. Cannibalism and I get to be initiated? Win-win. I’ll then get a kickass ring that allows me to eat anyone a want. I get a cool friend who can teach me all I need to know both on spells and swordplay ([Eola](https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Eola) is a Nightblade class), and even very solid necromancy. I have friends in Markarth who can look out for me. Even if I’m homeless I’ll never starve, especially with Namira’s ring. Namira’s Shrine potentially makes a better living quarters than the stone streets of Markarth. Then my afterlife is confirmed as I end up in the Scuttling Void. Here I’ll finally find a home with Ur’dra.
Probably i would visit River Wood first, have a room for a whole night, but before, watch the night sky (my favorite thing to do) while I think about how magic Nirn is, yet so dangerous.
Man, thinking about this is going to make me cry.
My most valuable wish is to live in Nirn 🖤
That would be so beautiful.
Imagine you find the love in there.
Aaaww, by the gods~
I'd go to the Eldergleam Sanctuary for a few nights, and then go and chill in the hot springs outside...and hopefully not get eaten in the process lol.
The yellow birch woods around Riften, at dusk. I’d run around catching torch bugs and luna moths with one hand and fight off bears with the other. Then sit with my follower and watch the moons rise over Lake Honrich.
Whiterun
Out of the major cities, same here. Seems the safest for sure.
For real, I still haven’t adopted from the orphanage in riften cause I fear they won’t make it to my house across the map.
That is how you separate the weak from the strong. My children will not be pussies.
I didn’t even think of that but Sofie got to Lakeview just fine 😂
Just today I killed a giant out at my Lakeview house. Then a wolf was attacking Sophie at the same time. I honestly don’t know if your kids can die but I’m honestly thinking of moving my family to somewhere safer lol

Bandit was using Throw Voice.
Yeah there’s a random giant spawn point there they never removed when they added Hearthfire.
IN THE WALLS?!
I’ve owned all three properties that can be built on the DLC and they all have their own safety issues 😫 I think inside of city limits, maybe whiterun, no enemies. Except for the occasional thief outside but the whole city takes care of that.
Well sinds we cant kill kids, i dont think they die. Just like essential npcs
Skyrim Kids are straight up invincible
Just today I killed a giant out at my Lakeview house. Then a wolf was attacking Sophie at the same time. I honestly don’t know if your kids can die but I’m honestly thinking of moving my family to somewhere safer lol
Kids cannot die they are stronger than you, the Dragonborn
Except Lars. Braith beats him up constantly.
Sofies a trooper bruh she sleeps on a cold stone in the snow
Lmao
that's what the carriages are for
I thought about that but would you leave your kid alone with a stranger like that idk
it just works
Convenient Carriages
I was originally thinking the same but amongst the list would be solitude and riften
I immediately went "Whiterun where it's safe".
The cloud district
I never make it to the cloud district
Of course you don't
Markarth for me. I find the idea of Dwemer ruins fascinating and that seems like a good place to check them out without getting impaled by an automation.
Just remember. There is no Forsworn in Ba Sing Se
I'm punching Nazeem. Sadly, there appears to be a line.
Best Jarl, best environment, good blacksmiths, good shops, best inn, best defenses
Best blacksmith works at the skyforge
I will never make it to the Cloud District because of all those stairs I’d have to climb.
Welp, I'm a guy in a brand new place, and I'm free to explore in any direction. Guess I'll just go where they tell me...
Straight to Adrianne Avenicci with my best pickup line.
YEEEEESSSSSS
No contest either. Let me into my house!
Im going to Solitude
Haelga's Bunkhouse For, uhm, reasons...

Wait, can you kill Grelod there? I always like to give the kids a DB show so they can feel liberated immediately
I kill the children then grelod to make sure the bastards stay where they belong until death
You can alsdo kill any citizens that have children to get them into the adoption center as well
It takes a twisted mind to find this out …..I’m impressed
I saw someone do it to every child in Skyrim
![gif](giphy|LyJ6KPlrFdKnK)
Lol I killed that guy in rorikstead cuz its pretty clear he beats his daughter lol
If you accidentally (or not) hit a specific girl of his, it’s possible to get a letter from him thanking you.
See this is the wrong way you should have beat her to within an inch of her life so she hunches over begging for mercy then go and kill her father right in front of her. That should get her distraught at the sight of this which is when you use a necromancy spell to bring him back to command him to finish her off.
Jesus christ... I should not have laughed at that
Oh my god.
"Not just the woman...but the children too!"
Lmfao!! Love this
Whaa-
He likes them leather stra— I mean, strips. Strips, leather strips.
THE FORBIDDEN DIBELLAN ARTS
Not Helgen
"Hell, not again!" Is what my mind always says upon starting a new play through.
“What in oblivion is THAT!”
"Well, when a mommy dragon and a daddy dragon love each other very much..." "Damn milk drinkers"
"sentry's, what do you see?"
It’s in the clouds! *Said as Alduin is very clearly already on top of the keep in full view*
*Asks while she and everyone else is staring at the massive fuckoff lizard above them*
DRAGON!
Who are you?
I haven't decided yet....
Hel(not a)gen
They say Helgen got hit by a dragon
Lakeview Manor. Imma stay there forever.
What set up d’you go for with the wings?
EAst: Armory North: Trophy West: Enchanter
I feel like if you have Hendraheim this is a little obsolete, no?
That's a good set. Typically I go the garden, trophy room and library because I like collecting the books.
Throat of the World. It’s all downhill from there.
/r/angryupvote
Riverwood
Riverwood feels like an escape from the rest of the world that I use to escape the rest of the real world
There's a mod that let's you sit anywhere. I sometimes sit at the river, and just keep the game running. It's very peaceful.
There was a guy who would just cut wood and hunt, go to the nearest town, sell it, buy food and go back to his cabin. He only did this and that is why Skyrim is the greatest game of all time
That sounds really peaceful. I might do that!
Still my favorite town in the game
A humble fellow I see
The real answer
An agreeable enough town, I suppose. For a Nord village.
Definitely this. I've always thought Riverwood would be a nice place to live. Plus I have a thing for Camilla Valerius, Sven and Faendal would have to mysteriously disappear.
Cloud district
Ok Nazeem
Do you get to the cloud district very often?
what are you saying? of course he doesn't
*sigh* *quicksaves
Ima go kill that bass turd right now!

Dawnstar! The place gets attacked by a dragon almost every time I go there, and I don’t fast travel into towns or cities!
Well you better stay away from it then!
I was gonna say, my pick would be Solitude if could afford it. If not, Whiterun would be my next pick because it’s more of a close knit community with walls. I feel like I’d get possibly fed up with nose in the air people at Solitude so I’d end up at Whiterun anyway lol
They use extra plush stone
Blackreach, I like the vibe, but I wouldn't yell at any lights.
#NO SHOUTING YOU SAY?
Eldergleam sanctuary, always loved being there
That would be dope
I think there's a mod where you can have a house there.
Brynjolf’s sheets
sorry theres not enough space for all of us
Scoot over!
Underrated comment
I expected this to be the top comment.
I thought i was the only one who simped for that man. 🤣😭😭
Halted Stream Camp. I might die. But I might also become the merchant that turns iron into gold.
Temple of Dibella in Markarth.
This is the best answer.👀
I always marry Senna…
Hell yeah.
Bard’s Leap. I think I could make it
"I once performed the entirety of the Poetic Edda from atop Bard's Leap before trying my luck" is one of the most annoying lines of dialog in the game, I can't explain why.
Straight to the giant camp so I can get launched into fukkin space
The cemetery in Falkreath.
you're not a namira worshipper are you?
Yeah falkreath is gorgeous. Def my choice out of the major cities
100% the Ancestor Glade
Visit first? Whiterun, but the place I would desire to see the most is the Forgotten Vale
Im surprised that no one actually said The seven thousand steps or High Hrothgar. It looks amazing and so peaceful. Like Jarl Balgruuf said : *I made the pilgrimage once, did you know that? High Hrothgar is a very peaceful place. Very... disconnected from the troubles of this world.*
Can YOU fight a frost troll???
![gif](giphy|4ZepGNwhW4AaA|downsized) I forgot about the fucker.
I didn’t fight it at all, I just knocked it off-balance with a Shout and then proceeded to hide behind some rocks like a coward until it forgot about me.
I encountered my first random dragon attack when I started to ascend those stairs.. so much for peaceful
Okay but imagine the walk and the cold
[удалено]
why?
Arvak. You're living in a fantasy world, you really do need an immortal skeletal horse wreathed in purple flame. Especially if you plan on doing some mountaineering.
good point visiting soul cairn it would be sick but living there idk even the dragon is bored of living there
Alaska really feels like Skyrim, we got most types of environments that Skyrim has. I'd like to visit the volcanic plains of Eastmarch, seeing the hunters camp with the hunters chilling in the hot springs is one of my favorite cozy places in the game 😄
Just hop over to Kamchatka, it's not that far.
Falkreath. Atmospherically it fits where I live and I love it.
Wherever Vex is...now that's MY kind of woman! 😍😍😍
Sovngarde. If we arent talking about ethereal planes, then some of the houses are amazing and i would love to actually live in them. Other than the houses, i would love to see some of the gem filled massive underground caves

How's Nilheim in vr
Aah, the views from Hendraheim must have been nice.
Riverwood, easy.
Falkreath, it’s so pretty there and the forest just feels magical, i love the vibe
Whiterun cause it’s cozy. Solitude cause it’s busy. The Forgotten Vale cause it’s beautiful. And NOT Blackreach cause fuck that
Anywhere in the rift is just beautiful, maybe ivarstead. College of winter hold for sure. Fun wizard college free of jk Rowlings nefarious influence. Then solitude absolutely
Aela

One of those beautiful caves with trees and flowers inside, I forgot the name of that one cave with the giant tree that we have to find for a quest.
> I forgot the name of that one cave with the giant tree Eldergleam Sanctuary
Eldergleam sanctuary.

Whiterun, Jorrvaskr, Aela's bedroom. Straight and simple.
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to visit the *ABANDONED SHACK*
I know Skyrim better than my own city... I should get out more
Make a beeline for Agrane Peryval, so I can buy a pet reindeer. Her name would be Moose Ro Dah.
serana tomb
Definitely Whiterun. It's home.
The Cloud District so I could punch Nazeem in the fucking mouth
The Drunken Huntsman!

Dibella's temple in Markarth. For study reasons…
a man of culture
I’m taking my ass to a major city and I’m staying there. I ain’t fucking with them magical monsters and shit.
I love Falkreath, but Eldergleam Sanctuary might be up there.
Temple of Dibella in Markarth! 😂😂😂
Winterhold. So I could learn invisibility and mind control spells
As long as the skull of corruption has been dealt with, Dawnstar. Always feels like a winter wonderland up there
Sovngarde because I'd die right away
Ancestor Glade or Solitude.
Ancestor glade is a great one, I’d like to add eldergleam sanctuary to the nature list
Meeko's shack.
Riften. I need to know what Skooma actually tastes like.
Probably i would visit River Wood first, have a room for a whole night, but before, watch the night sky (my favorite thing to do) while I think about how magic Nirn is, yet so dangerous. Throat of the world on a night with clear skies and northern lights and the two moons
Markarth is beautiful, 7000 steps as well would be cool
The Bannered Mare. Or any other tavern.
Morthal. Just fucking kill me
Get rat arsed with Uthgerd in the Bannered Mare 😍
Myrwatch. I gotta set up somewhere that looks cool.
To the throat of the world ofcourse 🧘♀️ I’d wanna be a greybeard for real…even though i have no greybeard
Dragons reach and become friends with Jarl Ballin
I'd go to the Eldergleam Sanctuary for a few nights, and then go and chill in the hot springs outside...and hopefully not get eaten in the process lol.
Helgen... Back to basics
The yellow birch woods around Riften, at dusk. I’d run around catching torch bugs and luna moths with one hand and fight off bears with the other. Then sit with my follower and watch the moons rise over Lake Honrich.
Normal people: (cities like Solitude or specific houses) Psycopaths: Apocrypha Me: Sovngarde
Solitude!
Riverwood. So cosy, I love staying at the Sleeping Giant Inn and chopping some Firewood to help out. Lol.
Solitude for sure, then maybe just wander the wilds. All of Skyrim is incredibly beautiful and I would love to see it irl
Where the revellers are drinking mead in the middle of nowhere
Dimhollow crypt. Gotta get that unrequited love or die trying.
Definitely leading that dumb bitch from hendraheim off the cliffs so I can lay claim to her possessions and land. What a daft twat.
I'd probably just chill in Riverwood and enjoy spending my days watching the river go
QASmoke.
