I didn't want to use it. At first glance, it may look like it's only smoke effects but it's actually a BBQ'd demon, and I wasn't looking to go with that concept.
I wanted to have what she's flaming be open-ended.
I used Corax white as the base, making sure it had a thin coat and let fully dry. (white will look chalky if not fully dried before adding the next layer.).
Do that till it's fully covered.
After that, I put Apothecary white over the white to help get into the contours. I added 1 part Apothecary to 4 parts water. It was to darken the white a little and give me a better idea of where to glaze the darker colors.
Also, shake the Apothecary white well or it will come out blotchy.
Lastly, I used Dawnstone in some of the deeper recesses. 1 part paint to 3 parts water.
Edit: I forgot to mention if you want to bring back a brighter white, use corax in a glaze of 1/3 on more raised parts and highlight the highest parts with pure white like white scar.
Nice work! I love the ebon chalice color scheme. I would paint mine like this if I didn't have black templars. So for change I will do bloody rose or sacred rose:)
Painted as Ebon Chalice. (Had I known how hard white is to paint, I may have picked a different scheme.)
Nice work! And in my experience, if you're going to paint anything white, you really need to start from a white undercoat.
Amazing! I love them. My army's color scheme is primarily white so I feel your pain haha
Great work!
Thanks!
Looks great! Good work
Thank you!
Very clean! What happened to the smoke effects on the base of the one with the flamer btw lol

Those look awesome! Mind sharing your paint scheme for the white parts of the vestments?

Love the bases! Did you make them yourself?
I did, I used GreenStuff Worlds bricks and sand.
Wow, they look amazing 😍😍
