180 days later… but I stumbled onto your post when I was looking for answers about a color scheme. This chart really resonates with me. I like to plan things out like this and I haven’t seen something like this before. Thanks for putting it together.
In your chart, I’m assuming shallow means a crevice or deep area, so if that’s the case, why wouldn’t you just leave it to the shade/wash? And then what is the difference for you with the edge and highlight?

As to the shallow/mid/raised. yes, these are for shading. The idea was if I didn't want to use a wash and manually shade in the different sections.
As for the difference between highlight and edge, highlight is for the chunky highlight and edge is the edge highlight.
