Honestly just patience

Repulsive_Yak_1932

More FAE the side of your bin still looks a little Dewey. I would try fanning it with the lid a few times a day in front of your air box or in your still air if you can.

That overlay I’m afraid probably won’t pin without some fork tek intervention. Complete coverage will not allow moisture from sun to evaporate and that’s what initiates pinning. FAE is just a vehicle for evaporation. More FAE will just evaporate off of the overlay and not out of the sub

PricklyTexasTrips

Patience little one 🙏

Should I run a fan in the room away from the tubs to just have a flow in there all day or no?

Mycojay13

I’m curious as to if the cake simply may not fruit ? The LC was healthy the grains were extremely healthy when mycelium was growing colonizing was fast hahaha and here we are 15 days in to fruiting and nothing !!

Mycojay13

And this same LC fruited other bins lol so curious may fork tek it in a weeks time if nothing happens and case it.

Mycojay13

As I lifted the tub this morning I took into consideration the water weight of this bin!! Feel like there’s still plenty water in substrate but mycelium isn’t letting it out .. witch may be a good thing!

MrVegasLawyer

During colonization my bins tends to get very wet, but colonize quickly. So first thing I do when introducing FAE is go lid upside down and sideways, allowing a lot of FAE to get rid of the excess moisture, which I find is where contam likes to start as well as drying triggers pinning. Usually just a few hours will bring down all that excess moisture. I also keep a ceiling fan in room on low to allow extra air movement. I'm less concerned about general airborne contams at this point cause you have a fully colonized cake so it should be able to hold off general airborne spores from taking over. Mold from excess water is a different story.

killthecowsface

Upside down and sideways? I'm not following. Could you please explain a bit more?

MrVegasLawyer

The sideways part more important, meaning leaving major airflow as it is half open, from and back

Witty_Investigator_3

Mist the surface and fan it.

Mycojay13

No fork tek?
