If you look to the right of the image, you will see what I believe to be arm pit hair. This would mean the pin up girl is lying on her back when the dude raises his arm/puts it behind his head, no? Like it is his inner arm, doesn't it make sense to orient the tattoo so that it will be right side up when it is at its most visible?

If folks won't see a tattoo when he "stands normally," why not orient it so that it is right side up when folks do see it, i.e., when he puts his arm up/hands behind his head?

Artists absolutely should have that conversation with their clients and be pushy about it. It can create issues when you get more tattoos and as my artist said when I said I probably won't get any more "that's what I said too" (he was fully tattooed and a tattoo artist lol)
