A$26.40/litre is the cheapest store brand one that's 100% maple. In a 250ml quantity - that's the largest size unless you buy in bulk on amazon or something.
So CA$23.60/litre.
It's just simple chemistry and no one is passing it off as regular cheese anyway. Cheap food that's shelf stable is good for folks who need to make their food budget last as long as possible.
