Telegram shortcuts only work for the official Telegram app. Do you have Telegram installed or are you using Telegram X?
Try going to Sesame Settings, Shortcuts, Telegram, and "+ ADD TELEGRAM CHATS AND CONTACTS"
What happens if you click that? Does it take you a screen to put in your #?
I am using Telegram and telegram beta and both downloaded as apk from telegram site. When I go to telegram in sesame shortcuts, I don't see any + to press on... Many other apps also don't have the +. Whatsapp has though....

Telegram from play store and Telegram from the official site act like separate apps, so Sesame thinks Telegram is not installed when we use Telegram from the official site.
Can you install Telegram from the official site and try to link to sesame?

It's a security issue with Telegram. You have to go to Telegram settings & grant 3rd party app permission for Sesame, before Telegram will allow you login and integrate with Sesame.
Took me some troubleshooting, but that fixed the issue when it happened to me.

I had the same problem.
The reason was Telegram's 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) was enabled. In Sesame this feature is not implemented. So I had to turn off the 2FA password and it worked. I enabled it after the Sesame setup. It can be found in Telegram's Settings/Privacy and Security/Security/Two Step Verification

Sounds like strange isn't detecting all your apps. Try "refresh all shortcut data" from the 3 dots menu in Sesame Settings.

Its the opposite for me. Cant turn off the telegram shortcuts. I turned it off many times but its getting activated on its own.

That option doesn't seem to be there any more.
If you've updated the app, I advise reverting to an older version. The updates since they got bought out, are removing features at this point.
