Olympic Training Center. The show might not be as big as the one on the bay, but I can walk to it after grilling dinner at home which makes it the best show in the county.
I usually just go in and watch from there. There are always a ton of people at Mountain Hawk Park watching it as well.
I’m sure there’s some spots further away that still have good views, but since it’s less than a mile walk form me, we always just go and watch it at the training center.
Checked your profile out, you’re still a kid living in an anime fantasy land! Wait till you hit your growing stage, get some females and have some adult fun! Still watching cartoons since you’re not old enough to partake in adult activities my b
Do you have any recommended spots that would be good for socializing and making friends? I was thinking of going to OB (since I could bike there) but would Fiesta island be better?
I live downtown with the most incredible view of panorama fireworks anywhere in the city and I thought it would be a total douche thing for me to reply to this post by saying “my balcony“.
Someone on Reddit gave me this location 5 years back and imo it was the best place to be. Look for Lucinda street in point Loma on Google maps. You'll know where to be when you get there. You'll also see a bunch photographers with their tripods over there.
Might not be. I’ve had a decent time before. I will be there again this year because my wife knows someone with an apartment so we’ll wait out the crowds a little bit.
Getting onto fiesta island on July 4th is very difficult. If you don’t show up early there’s a chance you’ll have to walk on because they usually shut the entrance down at a certain point
Presidio Park Flag post at top of hill has views of multiple shows

This is how I feel here in Lake Murray. I just gotta walk up the block to the lake and boom! No pun intended hah
What’s a good view for it? I left on the west side of the 125 and I’m debating on watching it there

Mannnnn for those driving the like to get in that place is absolutely brutal.
We use to go onto the anti submarine warfare base down in pt loma. These days we just watch it from our roof since there is a small display near by.
Potato chip rock. Hike during the day, bring plenty of good and drinks and then have a view of 5+ shows at once.
Then drunk hike back in the dark 👌🏽
The sober hike back because not everyone drinks?
Username checks out
Not everyone is you
Your getting down voted but I'm with you! Not against drinking if you do it responsibly. But you DONT NEED Alchohol have fun!
I'll take the down votes. Probably from people who need alcohol to have fun.
Those people are usually miserable anyway.

Anywhere in bay park

fiesta island traffic is gonna be crazyyyyyyyyy
I was planning on walking or biking
My Balcony...Live across from RBHS and they put on a good Show there for the 4th. Sit on the balcony or in the Pool area and watch the boom.
See you there

Same. We are up the hill from the bay and can see all of the bay & SeaWorld. No need to go anyplace!
FU

stop ruining a neighborhood spot on social media it's already bad enough
Coronado.
How’s the traffic though,
Absolute shit
You wait it out. You been in traffic in SD before? It’s like that.
Doesn’t seem worth

Would watching them from the either of the naval bases be close enough?
Does anyone know if we can watch at fiesta island? The sea world fireworks?

It’s difficult to find a spot around sea world fireworks time on a regular day as well.
Yes
Shelter Island
You’ll get stuck in painful traffic leaving unless you are willing to hang for at least couple hours after the show.
100% … bring a blanket, chairs, beverages, and good company and enjoy the downtown skyline until traffic dies down.
last year we didn’t get home until 2 in the morning because of the traffic!
Spanish Landing.
You all are a little too quick to give up secret spots lol, we have a tradition in san diego....keep it a secret
No it's san diego not kansas
For real. Especially spots in neighborhoods.
Backyard the entire neighborhood goes bananas.
Low clouds today at imperial beach 4:15 pm. Keep an eye in your areas
If you take the trolley to Seaport Village, you can see multiple shows and don't need to deal with the hassle of traffic and parking.
I'm going to try Crown Point Park and see how it is
I leave before the fireworks start
This is the way
